This is the most modern/ organized goodwill I have ever been in. I forgot I was e en in a thrift store it felt like a TJMax, Tods or the mall. I stopped coming here when they took away the dressing rooms. They say they have a 3-day return policy but it's 10 miles away from me. I see many other poor reviews here. You should be aware that this store is part of the Orlando Goodwill operation (as are all the Goodwill stores to the east of The Villages). The store in Oxford, just a few miles away, is part of the Tampa Goodwill operation and is so much better!! read more

By far the most expensive Goodwill I have ever stepped into!! A plastic spoon holder from the dollar store was marked at $4.99!! Absolutely everything was crazy overpriced!!! A plastic plant pot was also listed at $4.99 with the sticker still on it for $2.00 from Walmart!!! Absolutely atrocious and shameful!!! Unbelievable greed!! This is the most expensive goodwill I've ever been to. Charging over $100 for jackets, $25 for wood figurines that cost $25 brand new, $70 for porcelain dolls, $200 for a book stand and so many other over priced thing. Goodwill receives its items for free and they're taking advantage of the community by charging well over market value. If I wanted to pay these prices, I'd just continue shopping new. But the point of second hand is to salvage what you can before it goes to the trash. When the goodwill stores cannot push their product, it then gets taken from the shelves and sent to the goodwill outlets where things are sold by the pound vs piece by piece. Whatever doesn't sell there, it then goes to the landfill. The manager just so happened to be behind the lady cashing me out and wanted to go back and forth to justify their prices. Though I didn't ask for her opinion. I did state they're over charging. Based on google reviews on this specific store and yelp reviews, I'm not the only one who thinks this. I didn't have a problem with the manager until she wanted to go back and forth with me. My point is valid. Goodwill, the corporate company needs to do better and they need to ensure all of their stores do better. If she wanted to take offense to me stating the obvious, she knows she's in the wrong! Point blank! I bought what I had because I spent over an hour deciding if i should or not, so I wasn't going to not buy my things. But I will not return to this location again. On occasion I had encountered rude cashiers at this store before but today took the cake. My wife purchased several items including a golf shirt for me. Minutes after checking out she noted that the shirt cost 3 times more than she thought. She asked for a refund and they refused stating that was their new policy, I said no problem and I took the shirt off the counter and walked away. My wife asked for the receipt because there were several other items on the receipt. The clerk refused to give her the receipt. I walked back over an asked why we could not have the receipt and she kept saying "we don't give refunds". Instead of arguing I mistakenly I tried to snatch the receipt from her hand and she said "did you just pop me in the chin?" I said no and began to leave. Then she call the POLICE! She harassed us all the way to our vehicle video taping. The police came and did their investigation and no charges were filed. This clerk was rude, abusive and VERY confrontational. We will not be back. read more

I went into this goodwill to walk around and kill time. It looked pretty clean and it was well organized. Well there I saw an older Starwars collectible and I figured I'd get something for nostalgia that I could put in my desk that would be cheap. It was behind the counter an I asked if I could know how much it was. The woman behind counter said 29.99 and I said no thank you that's a bit more than I was looking to spend. She then belly laughed in my face, so I just left. As I left she said to her coworker laughing, "I guess 30 bucks was too much for him" so I found that to be quite disrespectful. read more

This is the most expensive goodwill you will ever go to. I bought an electric item for 200 as I was checking out the lady tells me I can return it if it doesn't work. We'll it doesn't work I took it back and they would only give me a gift card to there goodwill or the ones close to orlando. *TW POOP* if I could give -5 stars I would. Not only have all the goodwills closed their dressing rooms, but when me and my husband and my friend went in, there were two girls holding a pig. Fine right? Whatever she's holding it at least. WELL, as we passed them walking inside my husband stepped in something. Yep. It was crap. And I have reason to believe it was a whole pig turd. The girls walked right past us ignoring what happened. Then, I asked the goodwill employee to help me and she said "if he tracked that in from outside there's really nothing I can do" and I said "I don't think you understand THERE IS A WHOLE TURD ON THE FLOOR RIGHT BY YOUR CARTS!" She just kind of said she couldn't step away from the register. Another employee "clocking out" at the time handed ME a roll of paper towels and spray, and left. I would've taken a picture but I was too busy cleaning ACTUAL LARGE TURD OFF MY HUSBANDS SHOES BY MYSELF. I sprayed the turd and covered it with paper towel wad and left the roll next to it telling everyone around it to be careful. Then we left. I hate this goodwill, more than any other store I've ever been inside. Until my next poop encounter. Hate you goodwill!! bring the dressing rooms back or the poop issues will really start to ruin thrifting for me. I have two people to recount the experience with me. We hate it. read more

My husband and I were looking for a decently priced used suitcase and stopped by here, thinking we might find one. Sure did! The price for a tiny non brand-name one was (get this, people!) marked $99.99!!! Yep, you saw and read that number correctly- at a GOODWILL! The items there are DONATED, doesn't cost them a THING to plop it on the shelf, and yet, when I really couldn't believe the tag, took it to the front to talk to the VERY RUDE old lady store manager who actuially acted offended when I asked if that was realllllllllly the price! Offered her $20 for it, and she acted all huffy and taken aback that I would have the gaul to tell her it was a ridiculous price to begin with. The place should be closed-down for scamming people! It USED to be that the name GOODWILL meant that anyone who didn't have the money to purchase items @ retail could maybe afford to walk-out with something nice for a decent price. I will NEVER go there again,and am considering turning them in to the BBB. I will definitely report them to their corporate, and hope that the store gets shut down. Buying clothes at this Goodwill has become an unpleasant chore! Once the owner has your money, it is his forever. He thinks he has a captive customer. Once an item is bought, and if it doesn't fit, tough! Not anymore on my part! Dressing rooms are closed (conveniently because of Covid-19); no refunds only store credit if returned within 7 days; AND the return package is held behind the counter while the customer AGAIN tries to use up the store credit. That's right, use it now or take back the package and come back AGAIN within the original 7 days. No printed receipt for store credit is given. Also, the women's pants were neatly hung according to color. Now, it is a mix of four sizes S, M, L and XL. What a mess!!! read more

This is a pretty small store compared to the one in The Villages and there is a MUCH larger selection. It's worth the trip. This store is underwhelming. It's worth a visit if you're close by, but if you have to travel any distance you might as well go to the better store. I also think the quality of the merchandise in The Villages store is better... probably because The Villages is a more affluent community. Just an honest observation and recommendation. read more
