I love donating my gently used items, clothing, and furniture to Goodwill. I donated a bunch of stuff today. I went inside. I saw great variety of shoes and furniture at a great price. It was very clean, even in the restrooms. There was a mother with 4 kids in there. She was trying to get her kids ready with new school clothes. The youngest 2 kids were crying. Mom was putting shirts over what they were wearing to see If it fit. Their mom said that gas cost too much to bring stuff back, so the kids also, had to try pants on, out in the open, over there shorts. The oldest looked absolutely defeated. I talked to some other shoppers and they said, I dont come here for the cloths anymore. It's time for change! Until they open some booths I'm not donating to GoodWill anymore. Going home to try stuff on and bring it back is not efficient and costs the customer more when they should be helping the customer at store level. Shame on the company. Also, the workers should be able to buy stuff. No incentive for their own workers. I saw a sign on the wall that said to report associates! Every other company gives their employees discounts, and they can buy markdowns! I want my donations to be available to Everyone, I gave you my stuff for free! read more

Big good will! The employees were nice and there was definitely a lot to look at. The store is big as you can imagine but definitely a little cluttered. There was stuff everywhere and a bit overwhelming but overall a good experience with a good selections of items. Prices are fair on most things, but some items are only a few bucks cheaper than what you could pay them for new at any other home goods store. read more

I left my credit card at the cashier. The clerk named Sonya did not tell her manager so the manager could put it in the safe. Instead she just left it in the cash register. I didn't discover until 2 days later, my credit card was missing. The bank said last place I used it was at this Goodwill. When I called the manager, a woman, went to the safe and looked in the same, and said it was not there. No one knew where my credit caqrd was, because it was no longer in the cash register drawer. How nervewracking and irresponsible is that? !!! I scolded Sonya about being so careless with my credit card, not turning it into her manager. She didn't know what to say. I had to wait till the night time manager came in, named Liam, at 5:30. Sonya meanwhile went home. Liam found it in the safe. When I said the earlier manager said she looked in the safe, and it was not there, Liam said "It was under some stuff". That is two sloppy and careless people's actions. I told Liam that that is the kind of poor quality employees that ends up having to get a job at Goodwill. Liam was astonishingly young, to be a manager. He looked only age 19. Liam said he would talk to Sonya, but I said maybe there are other employees who are Sonya's. He did say that the employee who took over Sonya's cash register, found my card in the cash register, and turned it over to her manager, who was Liam. read more

This Goodwilll has a decent enough selection. Unfortunately I find so much stuff that's visibly damaged on the racks that's the same price as everything else. It doesn't make sense. read more

They refused to do a return for things I bought the day before. With receipt and all tags still attached! None had been seasonal or on sale and all should have been returnable according to their return policy. They claimed the items "didn't meet Goodwill standards". As if Goodwill has ever had standards!! And then refused to explain why! I was literally here buying these yesterday but now they don't meet your so called "standards"!? Shit customer service Wish I could give them zero stars because they don't deserve any. read more

This place is overpriced. I stopped in today to see if any electronics caught my eye. They had a Wii under lock and key in a display case with no controllers, cables or games that I could see. But it did have a price tag of $60. GameStop sells them for $85 and they come with all the stuff the goodwill one was missing that you need to make it work. I glanced at the DVDs and laughed at the $5 price tag on the movies. I was at Best Buy the day before and for a brand new copy of the same old movies goodwill had were $5. The only time it may be worth shopping here is on a half priced day, assuming the stuff you want isn't excluded from the discount. I have a good friend that goes to goodwills all over and she said this one was by far the most expensive. Now I can confirm her story. At these prices you may as well go to a place selling the items new. read more

I stop by this Goodwill pretty much every time I'm in town. In the past I have found it to be on the expensive side overall especially on larger furniture type items. Today I had fairly good luck finding several items for my grandchildren. I spent about $22. They kept announcing over the loud speaker that today's tag color was only a dollar today and a reminder that there is no sales tax, which I didn't know or had forgotten. No sales tax saves you over a dollar on every 20 dollars you spend. I'm glad I took the time to stop here today even though it's a little farther from my motel because I found some good stuff. I've been to the store in the past and not seen much of anything I wanted so you just never know. I'm sure I will keep coming to the store when I'm in Mesa and if I'm lucky I will have time to stop in to Cindy's Restaurant cafe for lunch or dinner. I've been there in the past and I know it is good but today I had already eaten. At the store there is plenty of parking, a nice lot, you don't have too walk far to the door and I found the clerk to be pleasant even though she had a slightly curt customer ahead of me. I also usually stop at the Needlework Attic next door but this trip I found it to be empty upon a closer look there was a sign on the door saying they had moved to Dobson and Guadalupe so I'll have to pop into that location instead. read more

One of the largest and cleanest Goodwill stores that I've visited in the Phoenix metro area. Staff is super helpful, too.

I go to alot of goodwills and this one by far is one of my favorites. When you first walk in It's very welcoming, bright, and very clean. The staff seems to be very happy. Nester who is one of the managers , (who I've had the pleasure of meeting multiple times)makes you feel very important. He is very customer oriented. And very kind go his staff. There's also ron who is a very hard worker. You can tell he really enjoys his job. One of the reasons I enjoy going there is because how well and unique he comes across the intercom. read more

I recently moved to this area and have been going to this Goodwill several times a week. There is a large variety of items available in all the different areas. The pricing is reasonable. The employees are friendly and helpful. There is plenty for parking close to the store. It is in a shopping center with other stores offering reasonable merchandise at good prices. I highly recommend this Goodwill located at McKellips Rd and Center St. Keep up the good work. read more

Literally my favorite store in Mesa. As soon as I get to town, I make a beeline for this store and stock up on beautiful ladies tops. Many or most are high end designer brands all costing $5 - $10. I've also bought lots of used sporting goods equipment like golf clubs and tennis racquets for times when we have out of town guests. Buying a used set of clubs including bag for $20 is much better than a one day rental at $65! read more

That's because I ain't working there anymore I can't tell u how many people come into my new place of employment and tell me how that place is lackin in my absence how dirty it is. I love shopping at thrift stores all over the valley. I will not shop this location of Goodwill anymore. Yesterday I was at Savers and purchased twice as many items for less than I just paid for 4 shirts. I wanted one shirt but it had a few holes in the front which I knew I could fix. I asked for a discount and the young cashier said no. I asked for a manager and she said a manager wouldn't give me a discount either. Kind of rude. Several months ago I purchased a white couch and loveseat. I asked them to take it off the floor until I could get a truck to pick it up. They said absolutely they would. I went back 4 days later and it was still on the floor and obviously it had been used and climbed all over. I was pissed and made them give me my money back. This location has dirty merchandise and the store is usually a mess. The prices are also higher than other thrift stores. What bothers me the most is the RUDE employees. They are mostly young, inexperienced kids with no social or customer service skills. They are not helpful and I have been treated as if I was an inconvenience to them.
