PROS: The staff here is very friendly while everything is clean. They have a huge selection of clothing, picture frames, and media as well. There's plenty of parking and the hours are good CONS: The bric a brac is scarce and most things are overpriced with the average item being $6 while other goodwills the average price is $2. This is a pretty new location. It had this new fresh feel plus it's a nice sized place. Everything here was very clean organized. The clothes were clearly color organized and it was a quick in and out for me. I actually found this place very late in the day and they were closing. I am definitely going back when I am in the area again. read more

While I am happy to see larger thrift stores actually opening up in the Hudson Valley when so many have closed in recent years, this location does absolutely nothing for me. The Middletown Salvation Army will continue to be a solid go-to for their treasure trove of ratty old clothes and the odd vintage suitcase score, but this place basically sucks on all levels. First of all, it's hidden in the back of some kind of strip mall wasteland that extends off NYS Rt. 211 about two or three layers deep so finding it isn't that easy, even with GPS, and when you do finally find it, it's in some nice, clean strip mall sandwiched between a Home Goods and a Michael's, which doesn't bode well for good thrift store finds. Once inside, it's basically all fleeces and boring button-downs and crap that came out of Kohls within the past five years. If you're looking for anything with that vintage thrift shop flavor, don't bother. This place is a bust. read more

Not worth the trip. Media had no clear pricing and the section was almost nonexistent. Most of the store was uninteresting clothes. VERY limited selection of anything else; no cool older electronics, no VHS, not even a DVD player. Never going to try this one again. Watched a guy steal some comics off of the media shelf and stick them in his jacket after hiding in the frames section. That's Middletown for you. read more

I love thrift shopping but there is not many options in this area. Very excited to have this new addition. I have found some really nice items here and you can usually find plenty of things that are brand new. The only thing that this store leaves to be desired is the kids section. I used to love coming to this store because every now and then I find pieces I really like for a great price. I stopped coming this summer and when I came back I was shocked just how much they upped their prices on some items. A $29 winter jacket? Some $29-$39 used shoes and bags? It is ridiculous considering all items they get are donated/free. Every week they run a color of the week sale. When they started out (newly opened) you'd find a lot of items in those colors. But now I noticed I hardly see an item with the color tag on sale. Is it a common practice now for employees to remove those item before the sale starts to change the tags? Cause I've seen these in other Goodwill I've been to. It's really pretty shady. Most employees are nice here but some can get really snarky when you ask them a question. read more

I was surprised and disappointed to hear that a person with noted disabilities was not permitted to use the lavatory facilities and that the manager did not assist this person. Shame on you and your employees. Don't you have to be ADA compliant? read more
