I saw on the app that they had 3 wick Mahogany Teakwood candles for $6.73, in store they were $26.95. I was told by the cashier that in order to get them at the lesser price I would have to go on the app and have the candles shippped. When I placed my order for 4 candles through the app I got a message stating not in stock. I then changed my order to store pickup and got the message saying out of stock, yet the shelves were filled. I spoke to the store manager showed her the app screen and was told there is a glich in the app and if she changed the price she would get in trouble. If the app is malfunctioning they should fix it but give me the 4 candles at the price that was on the app.

Now having been a VERY regular and long time Marshall's shopper I can assure you the on site manager I dealt with was demeaning and discourteous for reasons passing understanding. To be perfectly frank, I believe the purchase was outside the 30 day refund policy. For that reason alone, I was willing to take a lesser amount as a store credit. That said, the shift manager, I encountered, wouldn't engage at any level. She stated that returns at this high of an amount ($49.99), wouldn't normally be considered full stop. Having worked retail for over 30 years and engaged with this store for the last 5-8 yrs I can assure you, she had no reason to react in the manner I experienced. After reading your online reviews, it's obvious this policy and perhaps even your inventory system has changed. If so, I would encourage work arounds that address the lack of transparency and most assuredly revisiting the training opportunity of customer relations within this location. I will attempt to return elsewhere as I believe the return to be dated well beyond the 30 day window. Perhaps another location would prefer the repeat business. Please note, while you may feel justified regurgitating policy with little or no effort toward civility, and acting as if your customer has wronged you, will only serve to decrease your market share and eventually challenge your performance.

A pale face, greasy haired woman was approaching me so I decided to ask her. As she approached I began speaking so I could ask about my shoes and she walked right past me without saying a word. When she heard me say "okaaaayyy" she then said, without looking at me " I'll be back. I'm helping someone else" and she kept going. She radioed someone and I was left there standing in the boot section. The short, wig wearing person approached me again and I guess she was coming to help. But she just looked at me like I was ruining her day of fingering her device. So I decided not to accept any help and I walked out. I've already unsubscribed for any emails and stopped all text. You can't go anywhere and spend only $20 on sneakers now. The average price tag of sneakers is $65 if not more. Very happy. All shoes fit great!
