If you follow me, you know that I'm a big fan of thrifting, and in particular I enjoy Goodwill locations. It was my first time at this location, but it has a drop-off area in the back (which we used to unload before we went in and reloaded) and a large store area in the front with a decent of items. My daughter goes for the clothes, while I go more for electronics and vinyl, and this location had a bit of everything that we were looking for. I'll be back soon, hope to see you here. :) read more

My daughter enjoys thrifting (she's a teen) she loves vintage jeans, and worn out tees look! We go to many around us. But this location is great. Veronica was helpful as she heard my daughter say other employees there are rude to her when she asks for a dressing room. She stop what she was doing and told her she would walk her towards the fitting room. Usually we don't have the problem at other locations. Long story short , as my mom was shopping yesterday at goodwill. This guy came behind my mom and had his hands behind his back, & sexual harassed my mom .. my mom acted out of anger and slap him on his shoulder & all the guy did was just laugh in her face and only said sorry . But in a disgusting way. My mom went and notify the manager about what had happened . This lady didn't help my mom at all and told my mom to call the police and leave the store . As my mom was crying she told her why isn't she doing anything . This store manager her name is Rebecca didn't give a damn & didn't bother to filed a report or call the cops .. so unprofessional!!!!!!! I just can't believe as a woman she let it slide and didn't wanna help at all .. please be careful of your surroundings cus you never know . So many freaking weirdos out there .. we already call the police & made a report. I'm in disbelief on how unprofessional she was , it's sexual harassment. OK, this company gets free items. I've been there several times and for a company that gets free items and employees get the best of the pick before the public does. how do I know this because I have several friends that work in different Goodwill's and I'm told this and this is why I have to believe it happens but that's beside the point I go to the store each trip I come across something that I really, really like that they have marked too high that it's not worth that the price for something that was given to them I came across a box that I really could've used because of the drawers in it. It was just a small box and it was broken up. They had a price tag of $6.99 believe me even if it was fixed up it wasn't worth it. I went to the manager and asked if I could get a Discount because it was broken and why would they put it broken item up there for that amount he just looked dumbfounded and he goes. Oh we can't do that because everything in our registers are programmed and we just can't change it around. That's a crock of shit. They're just too lazy. I can get it done at other Goodwill's. Why can't I get it done there? They're getting money hungry for things that are given to them free so I won't be going back to that store. done it too many times I've bought broken items because they won't discount them and third times a charm so shame on Them. I mean you can shout there if you like the clothes that don't really really look modernized but when you go there for certain items and it's broken, they won't discount I even told him look I'll pay three dollars for it. I just need the box itself because I make jewelry. Nope, he would not discount it. He just said no we can't do that because of the registers are programmed now I think they need to educate their managers or they need to at least work with the public halfway because what are they gonna do with it put it back on the shelf but I put another three dollars on it on top of the 699 or throw it away something I could've bought Goodwill you make no sense. there is no software in the world that you cannot adjust a price give a customer a discount on used items that are broken .you need to educate your employees you need to stop putting broken things up there and you need to stop putting the price is so high for junk. I have to ask are you getting so hard up that you don't want to give in and just give discounts and could you also stop replying yeah Goodwill does many things that's how we price things base prices you know from your managers because I've not seen any where or know of anybody that has been trained or helped through the Goodwill like you do in Salvation Army. I believe this is all corporate and that you just pocket the money I have not heard of any Goodwill programs or anything like that. Can you just tell your managers or or whoever replies to this to stop using the phrase of how the money goes towards all the wonderful things and it's not true. I just don't see it. I can see it at the Salvation Army, but I don't see it at the Goodwill so do you wanna stop with the replies like or like I've seen on this post it's sad. There's too many places like used items that that you don't make a profit and put your own pocket as a corporate and can't train your employees to give discounts. I like the Goodwill and shop at several of their OC stores. What I don't like is many do not open their restrooms to the public even though California law says they have to if the person has a condition like IBS or similar. some post signs saying no animals allowed except service animals. I have never seen a Goodwill enforce this. some people have allergies and I have seen barking matches when there are two parties in the store with dogs. Hello Goodwill team, I'm extremely disappointed with how the second store is being run. It's as if you forgot that everything you have was donated -- you got it for free -- and without the people who donate, you wouldn't even have a job. Yet you treat customers badly, like it's their fault if an item doesn't have a price or doesn't show up at the register. That's your responsibility, not the customer's problem. You should be accommodating, not rude. It's also disgusting to see that the managers and workers in the back take all the best donations for themselves, reselling them at ridiculous prices, while leaving nothing but garbage on the floor for the public. You are abusing your position, acting like owners instead of workers who are supposed to serve the community. Without us, the donors, you would have nothing. You should be grateful and respectful to every single person who walks into your store -- because we are the reason Goodwill exists. Do better And lower your ridiculous!!!! I was reading another review where someone says that employees take the best things which I believe and you're saying that employees are not allowed then you are the one keeping all the goodies and reselling them, if you're the owner, you're taking free items to make money that's not fair!!! read more

Disappointed. I was excited when I saw this cute top with the original tags still on, only to see that Goodwill had jacked up the price by $5. I understand that they have base prices for different clothing items, but this is crazy and it's obvious they profit from not valuing items properly. There was also a very limited men's section. Won't be coming back, and rethinking ever going to a Goodwill again. read more

I am a vinyl collector. I prefer an actual music store to find music of some of my favorites artistes, but sometimes Goodwill may surprise me with some treasures. Today, I came specifically to shop for vinyl records. This location has a lot on hand but you really have to go through all of it to find a few gems. Many of them are pretty thrashed. I got 5 today. $1.99 each. Not too shabby for sounds of music. Cheap therapy. Checkout takes long, seems they are pretty low pace here. But really, am i really here for service? Not really. I am a big fan of Vintage Glassware and Knick Knacks and randomly go to Goodwills in my area. I don't often get over to the Centerwest location and was happy I did. I purchased some unique items tonight and enjoyed my shopping experience . The store was well stocked, very clean along with a great selection. A big shout out to Ernesto who provided a friendly smile and friendly Customer Service. It makes a huge difference to shop at a place of business where the Employee as Ernesto takes pride in their job and shares kind remarks about the enjoyment of their employment while conversing at checkout! Stupid new policy design to bring you back to store next day. The policy is that if you find an item you want but it doesn't have a price tag the store will take the item from you and hold it for 24 hours. If you are not first in the store the next day you probably won't get it. Here's the kicker, there is a lot more items than usual that don't have a tag. read more

This store get tons of new items. I am constantly noticing new furniture, projectors, housewares, bakeware, cooking accessories, stoneware, etc. The staff is super friendly and they greet you as you come into the store. Liz has her standard "Good Morning" to all shoppers as they come into the store. The have a huge clothing section and a decent small furniture section as you walk in. They have a dedicated parking lot and their is always plenty of parking. read more

If this store just got a new manager , I gratulate you for understanding that the store smells like death, and did something about it. and throw out the junk that smells like mold. Before that, I wouldn't even enter the store because it smells so so so horrible . The funky smell in the past is lingering in the clothes, I tried to wash them the smell won't go away. I have had great experiences at this store. Especially with one of the employees . Goes by the name Tita I believe, she is always warming me with a greet. Tita is very helpful with the items I donate. When I had fragile items she immediately grabbed me a box so I can put the items in the grey bins I believe it's called.It's great seeing people that take a-lot of pride in their work even though your just donating. I came here to pass the time since I was early for the check-in for the yelp movie showing for Jurassic World that's in the nearby theater. I spent my time looking for some dresses, shorts, and skirts since the weather was getting warm and I needed some more shorts. I saw some nice shirts but decided to get only one since I have alot already, I didn't like any shorts they had there. I got two bright skirts that were breathable and comfy. Wow!! I found great HALLOWEEN costumes here at a great price. Even wigs, which were in pretty good condition. I even found an army green jacket that I had been looking for for a while. I even saw some products that were brand new with tags. I would probably only come here again for costume pieces for a DIY project but happy to see that there are even more gems to find here if you look hard enough. They have a wide selection and it is one of the bigger sized Goodwill stores I've been to. The cashier was also really helpful and friendly. I'd recommend this spot! read more

I am an avid thrifter and often go across OC in search of great bargains. This GW indeed offers a stellar selection! The staff is also quite friendly and helpful. The donation site in the back was particularly amazing! The two men working there assisted me in unloading some of my heavier donations and were nothing but polite and smiling, offering me a receipt and gleefully answering some of my inquiries as well. Goodwill is my favorite thrift store. You never know what gem you'll find. I always like to browse when I'm nearby because I've scored some awesome gods throughout the years. With this grand opening, there will be two goodwills on the same street in close proximity, which is a thrifter's dream. I wanted to give them a 5 star but I just couldn't! Today 6/13/2018 I walked into a store that smelled amazing! The store was very clean and well kept. They even had a sale of 50% off a few things. The reason I didn't give it a 5 is because I can't believe how expensive some of there stuff is. We all k is goodwill is a hand me down store. A store people give their items away for free. A store that is solely benefitted by DONATIONS!!! So tell me why everything as far as clothes is 6.99 and up??? Why goodwill? Even a nice long dress, that is clearly stained and has a hole on the side was 9.99. I really like the staff there, they are pleasant human beings. But for hand me down stuff, it's too expensive. Bigger than most Goodwill stores. Before you go out and buy something you'll only use once, stop by this Goodwill. I needed an ugly Christmas sweater for the office and there were quite a few here. Some ugly Christmas sweaters and vests were cheaper than others. Some sweaters were already donated with all the bells, lights, and decorations on them. Some sweaters the employees here created from donated items. They're actually really good and creative. Besides Christmas items, there plenty of men's, women's, and children's clothing here. Remember that everyday certain color tagged items are 50% off. There are lots of shoes, household items, and toys. Remember to always check the item for cleanliness and be aware of any missing parts or holes in clothes. You can bring this up to the cashier and ask for a discount or you can be fine with it as is. Worst Goodwill I ever experienced. I caught an employee hiding 1 shoe and stuffing it in back of a shoe rack about 3 months ago. It was the missing shoe I needed. I asked her for it and she acted dumb. She was going to keep it for herself; tacky. Today a Filipina employee was going around yelling rudely at 2 different customers to put on masks. She didn't want to provide them because a lady asked her for one and I saw a different employee give a mask to another customer. Most merchandise are over priced. Some priced items are higher than you'd buy new. I now go shopping for items 1/2 price (color of the day). It sickens me to see how high they price some of their items since some people go there because they don't have a lot of money to spend. I saw a notebook priced $2.99 (ones you find at 99 cent only store for $1). I've seen original priced item left on that Goodwill priced higher. I have brought it to the attention of the Employees, and they are good about reducing the price. There are few days I will find a really great deal so I keep going, and have hope. read more
