Staff is very rude no mannerism doesn't even try to greet you or welcome you in with a smile.. very uncomfortable setting like they're silently judging you, clothes selection is very mid they have a lot of cut off tag items and polyester items for over $20 not worth it... items are way to expensive when they're trying to buy vintage off you for $5. As a buyer not impressed at all I once went her to thrift and sell and bought a brandy top for $15 then went to goodwill right after and got a brandy top for $4 rip off, if you ask me sometimes there's hidden jems everywhere so maybe you'll still find something but doubt it because depop probably sells it way cheaper including tax so check there first When I go there to sell everytime time they're so dismissive and treat me very poorly, never confronted this but each time was wondering if asking for a manager would help. Very snickering and overall bad attitude. Gone to sell a few times everytime I've gone in with about 2/3 trash bags filled of seasonal clothes and this last time drew the line because they went through it very fast by the way ( chose nothing each time or only one item and tried to buy from me for $4 )and theres vintage clothing brands new quality jeans. They told me I had no seasonal items that they were all for winter but get this the only thing they wanted to buy from me was a vintage pink zip up jacket not sure how thats summer seasonal and not winter but ok... while shopping going through the clothes there was nothing appealing at all a lot of SHEIN quality items or no tags (they would not take in my items with no tags either even though they were clearly great quality)... it was honestly hard to find something for the store credit so I understand how there taste in clothes is very out of style because clearly they had nothing worth buy for over $15... never left a review like this but this one was worth it hopefully they'll get new nicer welcoming staff and upgrade there sense of style it was pretty bad just going to stick to buffalo exchange they give you more bang for your buck. I decided to give Crossroads a try to see if I could sell some clothes, but unfortunately the experience left me feeling pretty disappointed. When I first walked in, none of the staff acknowledged me or greeted me. There were already a few people sitting on the benches with bags of clothes, so I wasn't sure what the process was or whether they were waiting to be helped. There wasn't any signage explaining what to do, so I felt awkward standing there trying to figure it out on my own. Eventually I walked closer to the counter and noticed the check-in iPad, so I checked myself in and took a seat. I then waited over 30 minutes before anyone even spoke to me. The only reason I was finally acknowledged seemed to be because everyone else who had been waiting was gone. When an employee finally helped me, she explained that they generally don't take brands like H&M, SHEIN, and Forever 21 because they're difficult to price competitively. That made sense. However, I had a large bag filled with mostly Zara items, many of them brand new with tags attached. She took my bag and told me I could shop around while they reviewed everything or wait for a text when they were done. I stayed in the store and less than five minutes later she called me back and said they weren't taking anything. Honestly, that was the part that didn't sit right with me. I had a big bag containing at least 50-60 clothing items. There is no way every item was given a fair review in less than five minutes. Several pieces were brand new with tags, and when I asked about Zara, I was told they generally don't take Zara either. That surprised me because Zara constantly rotates inventory and many items are no longer available in stores shortly after release. What bothered me most wasn't that they declined my clothes, I'm fully aware resale stores can be selective. It was the overall experience. Between not being acknowledged when I arrived, waiting over 30 minutes with no communication, and then having what felt like a very quick dismissal of my items, I left feeling like my time wasn't valued. I spent significantly more time waiting to be helped than they appeared to spend reviewing my clothes. The entire interaction felt uncomfortable and impersonal, and I walked away feeling frustrated and disappointed. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn't return. read more

After walking around i can see why only a few items of mine were taken. The mens clothes are UGLY!!!! If this is what is "selling" we are in trouble. The people working there have 0 personality and look miserableaf. They also don't donate your unwanted items to local charities or churches. You are better off just going to goodwill. I don't know what's going on here, but this place has gone downhill. I tried to come in every season to both sell and buy. This time around I came just to buy, and the staff working was just sad. Never acknowledged the girl who checked me out when I purchased an item was super dismissive Like she didn't even wanna work there. The fitting rooms are gross. I understand it's a clothing store but simple maintenance as dusting? That's wild. Going to definitely give it a second thought of coming back here. Also, I've noticed that their pricing has increased dramatically. I would be able to find things for about $15 before. Now I feel like everything is more than $30. Why is a basic polyester tank top $25? Ross brand at that. Also, if something is a set, you should be selling it together not pricing things separately. read more

I really like this location. The staff is nice, and they have a ton of stuff to choose from. I like that you can sign in on the waitlist on the app to reserve a spot in line, since they can get pretty busy if you're trying to sell. I usually leave for the store when I'm 3rd or 4th in line. I have a ton of stuff that I'm trying to get rid of, so I bring a bag at a time and they usually take a few of my items each time. I have a big credit to use up at some point,and I'm hoping to get a nice leather jacket. None of that vegan leather material that is popular right now, because it only lasts like 6 months. They changed their buying system though. They price what you get back based on how much they price the item. So if you're trading for cash- you will get 25-40% back on the item. And if you want to trade instead, you will get 45% back as a store credit based on how they price the item. It used to be 50% I believe. I'm just trying to get rid of stuff, because I need the space at this point. read more

Brought my wife here to sell her high end clothing and purses on a Saturday looks real busy around 12-2 they provide a sign in app which is nice to see how many people are ahead of you. Lots of parking outside so won't have to struggle looking for parking. They do only have four people sorting thru some of the sellers items and checking out people who purchased items so the process is kinda slow. They are now looking for fall fashion and will give you back items that don't match what they are looking for. But of course they will not buy your stuff at full price that means to sell you have to accept their offer wit a grain of salt. However their items are also cheaper if you buy these from a clothing store. All staff were really good and nice with great customer service! read more

I shopped in here once during their grand opening week but had forgotten all about them till I saw it on my way to Zankou chicken. I found a treasure here, a real cowgirl leather belt, nowadays all they have are fake vinyl belts that break down in a year n the designer brands they still charge the same cutthroat prices. Today I saw this cowboy hat that looked beautiful but I walked around the store it weighed so heavy on my head so I didn't buy it but I might still do it in the near future, I have a hat rack but I already have 3 cowboy hats n about 25 all kinds of hats! You can call me the MAD HATTER! They have a lot of funky shoes that i actually like but unless you are BIGFOOT they ain't for you! This is a nice consignment store but it's quite pricey , I can't believe a dress was $66? Oivey! So bring a lot of dough when you come here ! I'm thinking of bringing my formal dresses to consign here most only worn once, I have done over 40 cruises it's time to hang it up! read more

The best strat is to do a drop off and come back once they've evaluated all of your items, rather than waiting and browsing through the store. The process only takes a few minutes, and most of it is just waiting in line until you get called to the cashier. It's definitely a hit or miss on whether or not they'll take your items, since I got a pretty generous (based on reviews I had read) return on my first haul, but got nothing the second time. Beats going straight to the donation drop-offs. read more

Came in to sell a Fendi card holder. They only made this print for a brief period. The guy told me it didn't have an RFID chip. Thought this was odd since I bought it two years ago. Out of curiosity, I went to the Fendi store to ask them about said chip. Turns out, it has one. Told the guy at Fendi what I was going to sell it to them for and he laughed. Told me not to take any less than $400 for it since it is discontinued. Shout out to the guy at the counter who couldn't find the chip. read more

The staff here are kids randomly deciding which clothes are considered "trending" or not. Depending on their mood or if they like the lunchables mommy packed for them, then they may buy something from you for $3 then re-sell it for $60. This store has a lot of ugly clothes so when I went to go sell- I expected maybe a few buys. However, after 10 mins of browsing we decided to just sit & wait and that's when the girl decided to go through our pile. She went through the first bin only and then called out my name and said they weren't gonna buy anything. Claimed that the pant color wasn't in season. The supreme shirt has too much distressing and we had some some really "cool vintage" pieces but nothing that they were looking for. She completely missed the second bag but we also figured she wasn't gonna take shit from there so off we went. They are looking for fall pieces- I brought in hoodies, jeans, long sleeves from TONS of different brands. read more

This was my first time here selling clothes and shoes and I had a good experience! The app to put yourself on the waitlist didn't work for some reason, but I was there in-person anyway on a Friday in mid-June at opening time. I was signed in and was first in line. I brought 5 garbage-size bags of clothing and 1 bag of shoes. I stayed around and waited while the employee went through everything thoroughly...much better than the last used clothing stores where I tried to sell clothes 10+ years ago (Plato's Closet and Buffalo Exchange). I had good stuff to sell and the employee said so. I got a lot more money than I ever thought I would and I'll return because I have more to sell. If you don't want the hassle of taking photos of each thing and putting them online to sell, try this first before donating. I really liked the process of how they did things. read more

I agree with other reviewers that this shop is more of a vintage consignment shop than a thrift store based on their prices, but that being said, they have a good selection and a wonderful welcoming vibe. 3 out of the 4 of us found something to add to our wardrobes and this a a very choosy group of people. I really liked the organization of clothes with eye catching titles like "Barbie" and "Mermaid". There are plentiful dressing rooms so you don't really have to wait. All the staff are helpful and friendly. If I lived closer I'd be by this store on a regular basis! read more

First time going to this Crossroads location in Huntington Beach, to see what we could get for some of my old clothes (mostly work-related). Focused on shirts this trip...probably had 40 pieces. My wife has done this before, so she knew what to do. In front of the store, you self check in using a kiosk. Then you wait with your bag until it is your turn. On a Monday afternoon, she probably waited 25 minutes (gave me a chance to wander the strip mall). We intentionally came on a workday, thinking it would be less of a wait. When it was her turn, she handed it over and the buyer went through each piece quickly to determine if they wanted buy it. The buyer ended up choosing 2 pieces...it's all about brands, so a Lacoste and a Northface were what was taken. I wanted cash (instead of store credit which gives more and what my wife always takes), so ended up getting back $11 and change, which was fine. But now I'm wondering...do you pay sales tax on a purchase if using a in-store credit for the entire amount since there should be a trade-in tax credit? Or is that only for cars? read more

While I love the Crossroads brand, this location is one of the worst. They have a decent amount of choices and a variety of styles, however the customer service is so lacking that it effects the entire experience. I was just there earlier this week and was waiting to trade in clothes and heard throughout the entire time the cashiers making fun of people who either were shopping and even the ones walking into the store. I looked at the guy next to me at one point and he too acknowledged what we were hearing. I know it is the job of them to judge the clothing to get a right gage for how to sell the clothing, but what is the point of judging individuals? I do not know who the manager in store is to even mention something. This has happened on multiple occasions and honestly, bothers me with a brand like Crossroads. It honestly feels like the people who work there pick and choose who to be friendly too and that is disheartening. I had to share this after another of the same experience here and hope some more training can happen. read more

I was so excited to go in to the store to find my granddaughter a homecoming dress, when I was approached by a man that was very rude and disrespectful, he was giving me dirty looks while I was shopping as if I was going to steal. As a 65 year old black woman, this brought me back to a very dark time. especially because this action was done by another black man, I also found it very disrespectful that he was eating on the job, he was eating something that appeared to be very greasy then proceeded to touch the clothes. WASTE of time! Do not sell here, the buyers have the worst & most confusing taste. None of the clothes in store were cute so that was the first red flag and then waited 30 min only for them to not get ONE thing and I had name brands and vintage. If you're gonna reject someones clothes at least have on a better outfit! read more

TLDR: Huge waste of time, employees do not care about your time / do not pay attention, extremely picky. You are much better off selling on Poshmark or Mercari. My experience is similar to most sellers - it's never a great experience as selling takes forever, you don't get much money, and the buyer is always subjective. For background, I've been selling at Crossroads for about 10 years now across CA, but it was my second time at this particular store. They open at 11am and I arrived at 11:10am to sign up for the waitlist. I was currently 4th in line, so I was hoping it would be a quicker trip. In my experience, it takes a long time for them to get around to you, so I went to wait in my car as all the benches inside were taken. Crossroads will text you when they are ready for you to check in anyway. I receive a text at 11:51am telling me that it's my turn to check in and that I have 15 minutes to get there (12:06pm) or else I'll get booted from the waitlist. I head in a couple minutes later to tell them I received my text message to check in. The employee (I didn't catch her name, but she was tall and brunette) told me "We had to move on to another customer because we're really busy." I told her that doesn't sound right, since I made it in time per the text message instructions. She said "Oh we don't really go off of that, it's more just the Crossroads system. If you don't come in 5 minutes when we call you, we move on." Okay? If it's Crossroads' system, why are employees not honoring that? Such a waste of time. That was red flag number one. Anyways, she told me I would be next and that she rechecked me in. At 12:15pm, I'm called and she tells me she'll start looking through my clothes. I ask her how long it'll take her to sort through my bag and she said at max 30 minutes (so 12:45pm) so I have a seat and wait. Time goes by, and my name still hasn't been called and I notice that people are who checked in after me are cashing out before me. I find that strange but wait a little longer. Finally at 1:10pm, nearly an hour later, my name STILL hasn't been called so I go up to the counter ask what the progress is on my bag as several people have now surpassed me. She says, "Oh yeah, sorry! Evelina right? We only took one item this time based on the styles we're looking for." I was so pissed! So not only she forgot to call my name, this whole ordeal took 2 hours! I'm appalled at the ZERO respect for customer's time. I was sitting right in front her while waiting too, how long would I have been sitting there if I didn't speak up? Soooo not worth the $9.75 I walked away with. I will not step foot in here again. read more

By far one of my favorite stores in this entire county. Every single time I go in, I have to leave with at least 1 item. Every week they have so many new pieces with some of the best brands. Also, no matter what your style is they will have something in here for you. Significantly cheaper than buying from online second hand apps and literally some of the coolest staff ever. Definitely the worst Crossroads location I've sold to. Don't come here unless you have ample time - workers are slow and are talking more than actually sorting through your clothes. I don't mind the conversating, but they stop everything they're doing to chat with fellow workers behind the counter that it feels extremely inefficient and unprofessional since there is usually a cue of quite a few people as well. I generally dig stores where the prices are set to cheap rather than gouge or swindle. I found a remarkably warm, manifestly black basic editions jacket replete with fuzzy comfy lining for around twenty bones, hombre. The jacket featured plenty of practical zipper pockets so I can carry all my special candies and pez dispensers with me wherever I might gallop. The jewelry section upfront should not be overlooked by any folks seeking cheap accessories. I found a few necklaces, bracelets, and dainty trinkets all well under $10. The staff was cool and low pressure. They asked the usual can we help you find clothes in the clothes store type questions. The personnel obviously does not sit on the job here. Each rack and visual setup at this Crossroads twinkled with orderliness and organization. 5 stars. read more

I enjoy it but this place has lost so much money from me due the fact that every time I step into this place I immediately have to go to the bathroom and they don't have any which forces me to have to leave and ditch all the clothes I wanted to try on. I love the employees here at crossroad. Julia was helping me to do the buy. I was the first customer when they opened. I felt so welcome friendly gesture. Love chatting with her. She did such a great job. Also, Claire who works at the fitting room, I love her positive energy and super proactive personality. She totally killed it with her friendly approach. I had so many clothes to try on and she totally helped me out. So I felt totally comfortable to try all the clothes. Her input is so helpful as well. You girls have the best team! First time selling here and will absolutely be my last. I had items that were new and on trend and they did not even give them a second look. Apparently free people is a "hard brand to sell". Glad to cross this off the list of places to consider - if you have ever sold at Buffalo exchange or delux this is absolutely not like that. I literally had NEW with tags free people and they didn't take. Brand new adidas, UGG - like I was shocked. I feel like they try and push this narrative that they only take the HOtTESt styles and made of the most QuAliTy fabrics - HELLO you are a secondhand seller! Also I was watching the clientele that was coming into shop - they are mostly broke college kids trying to find something decent. I'll be sticking to mecari and poshmark - where I am a top seller. You're much better off just selling your clothes in bulk on offer up, unless you have a bunch of designer fake shoes they'll buy off you because there's so many fake Nikes and designers there being sold secondhand. I literally tried to sell a Faherty $120 Nordstroms sweater, Adult Large, they gave me $4.80 for that, and $9 for brand new Nike white Air Forces. When you sell your items they pay really great attention to the items that u brought in for sale they are prompt and always willing to help even when they are busy. I have sold with crossroads many times in LA, but it can be the hike coming from OC. I decided to try this location bc I've passed by it many times while on my way to get poke'. I walked in, was greeted immediately, and taken in fast which is nice. While I was there I was observing the lack of respect for the sellers time as the 3 girls buying in were talking about what their weekend plans were, where they has went that week, and just normal down time "shop talk". The thing is, when there are customers waiting, that's not the time to talk shop. One girl literally put an item down to talk about the parties they had went to and are going to. Meanwhile the seller was waiting patiently on the bench. Please do not do this. I own a fashion company. I don't have time to wait around while your buy in reps talk about their life. I have movie productions to take care of, Portland fashion week to work on, and upcoming red carpet events. After sitting there watching and waiting, out of an entire bag of brand new with tags items that are definitely on trend bc we just use had them for production or Ashniko and doja cat videos to come, they only accepted 3 items. I wouldn't be so annoyed, but the fact I basically sat there for $17 was a complete waist of my time. I can literally tell you about each one of their plans for the weekend. With the time spent there, I could have taken my items to my usually spot in the OC, where they appreciated my time. Please be mindful this. The more time you waist the less money you make. The more time you waist the less money I make. Not a good look. Most likely won't be coming back recommending this location. Giving 2 stars bc the initial greet deserves some sort of create.
