Some quests terminate marvelously in Stanton, California. I decided to drop into this 2nd Street while waiting to meet my darling for lunch. I walked in, scanned the racks, saw mostly the usual laughable lux streetwear brands (Supreme, North Face, Off White), and then I noticed a divine glow of colors emanating from the sweatshirts--a verdant, ethereal light. I reached out to pull the hanger out, and before I knew it my eyes beheld the true aesthetic glory of The Peep Show Madonna & Deep Throat neck Tattoo Hoodie by artist Ron Kibble. Front & center on the hoodie stands an august vibrant rendering of Jesus in front of a vast array of adult theaters, burlesques, peepshows, & adult video stores. The Mona Lisa herself is twerking in the background. Neon signs in the background flash all styles of vulgar screed. On the back of the hoodie: a blessed, iconic Madonna toting a machine gun. She too stands in front of a stretch of peep shows, dancers, strip joints, & adult video stores. A sign of perfection: the hoodie even had a cigarette burn in the elastic hem at the bottom. Needless to say: I bought this work of art, & I gifted it to a friend. I know now that the light of neck tattoo Jesus & Red Light District Madonna will guide my friend forever. I cannot say anything critical of 2nd Street for delivering such perfect trash to me in only mildly burned in one place condition. 5 stars.

I was at rodeo and decided to check this place out again and ain't no way they're reselling a brand new pair of boots (with tag) for more than it costs. The tag from where it came from say $59.99 and they're selling it for $89.90. Crazy. And they probably bought it for like $5...

There sure isn't anything thrifty about this shop. It seems to be more edgy, eccentric clothing so if you're ready to show off your personality and be a little different for a pretty penny, then sure this store might be for you. Otherwise, this store doesn't seem to really make sense as it's quite expensive used clothing. Especially when something like this vulgar tshirt that I found cost $60.

So u stumbled across this when I was next door getting food. Greeted and the hunt began found a darling hand painted Jean jacket for $25. They have a large amount of designer handbags and a great selection of guys shoes all and all a fair priced store that will bring me back for more.

Ladies are sweet but the reviews are right they buy stuff for cents. The one in LA is way better value.

I was very surprised that a 2nd Street even opened in Stanton! It's right outside of Rodeo 39 next to Phoholic (you'll smell it), and occupies a pretty small spot. Parking is a bit of a nightmare here, but I found success parking across the street at Walmart. Inside, there's a couple of aisles of clothes, but in my time of going, not too much variation. You had quite the number of $100+ name brand items and not too big of a selection of cheaper stuff. I still found something I liked, but that was after quite a bit of digging. The service was great, and the employees were friendly!

Would not recommend selling here. They offered $0.10 per item. Two higher priced items were offered for $1 each.

I digress as I usually do. :) I saw Basics on Yelp and bookmarked it but while shopping with my son in the plaza we were on our way to get smoothies at Almond Haus and walked by Basics; he spotted a camo hat & wanted to go in. There's a whole wall of patches to your immediate right as well as a stand with blank patches that you can customize. There's a TON of work shirts, blank tees, flannels, dickies, Carhartt work boots, clothing, Girl Scout vests & pamphlets. We left with a $9.99 camo trucker and a iron on patch $1.99. The blank patches vary but the largest one I saw was $1.99. I believe the gentleman quoted me $10 on the embroidery & $2 for sewing it on. $14 for a embroidered left chest personalization is a great deal! Now to find the medium I want it sewn on. Will update the review if the quality does not meet the rave reviews from my neighbors but I have high hopes!!

You're paying a bit more than you might at other places, but these items are cleaner and better curated for sure! They have a wide variety of items as well, and in all it was an enjoyable adventure. Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for a vintage bargain. :)

This thrift store is very well organized. Perhaps that's one of the most interesting things about it. They even have their clothing organized by size. So, this makes shopping for that vintage piece of clothing much easier. This is something that few other thrift stores do. And, it's really appreciated. Because, it makes the whole shopping experience, not only easier but more enjoyable. Beacon House has far more than just clothing, however. This shop is stuffed full of all kinds of everything else, from electronics, to kitchen goods, to musical items, to LPs, cassette tapes, pretty much anything you can think of, they've got something. As is the case with all thrift stores, the inventory at this business is constantly changing. So, going in here one day may be very different from going in the next day. You will never know what you're gonna find. And, that's what makes this business a really unique shopping experience. So, if you're one of those people that enjoy going to thrift shops, seeking out antiques, vintage items, discarded items that nobody really cared about, or pretty much anything else, this is a great place to go. Of all the thrift stores in the area, this is definitely one of the best.

I do not recommend Watch Wears in Orange, CA based on my personal experience…read more In 2013, I purchased a yellow diamond ring surrounded by white diamonds for a significant amount of money. It came with an appraisal stating a value of $14,000. Shortly after, I returned to have the ring resized and was told they also buy gold and jewelry. I brought in additional items and was given store credit. Later, I returned to use the remaining credit and was told by the owner that I had no credit left and would have to pay again. There was no clear record provided, no transparency, and no effort to resolve the discrepancy. I was essentially told the credit didn't exist anymore, and I had no documentation to challenge it at the time. In 2026, I scheduled an appointment to sell the same ring back to them. I clearly stated on the phone that I was bringing in a ring originally purchased from their store. When I arrived, they inspected it along with the appraisal, then told me they were not buying diamonds due to market conditions and lab-grown diamonds affecting resale value. This should have been communicated when I made the appointment. Instead, I wasted time going in for a meeting that should never have been scheduled. Overall, my experience with this business has been inconsistent, poorly communicated, and unprofessional. While they do carry attractive jewelry, I personally do not trust their business practices or transparency.
