Just dropped off several large bags and boxes of items to donate (hello major spring cleaning!), and I have to give a shout out to Deshawn (I hope I spelled that right, initials on my donation receipt are DC). I've dropped off donations at this location countless times over the years, and this was the first time I had someone walk up to my car and offer to help me unload my donations and kindly point me to the correct bins for where to place things (electronics, household goods, clothes, bags, shoes, etc). He also asked if I wanted my bags back and if I needed a donation receipt. The last time I donated items here, there was a guy working who practically screamed at me "No hangers!" to which I responded, "Sorry, I didn't know." - I put the bag of hangers back in my car but he definitely didn't need to yell angrily. So this visit was 100 times better, thanks to Deshawn. Goodwill, I hope you acknowledge the great and kind employee he is! Friendly tip: I had fragile wine glasses, pint glasses, and ceramic mugs to donate and I wrapped each item in packaging paper and bubble wrap and placed them in an open box. I was told this was a great way to donate fragile items so they don't break. The back parking lot where the donation drop off is located can get tricky to drive in/out of if there are more than few cars back there. It's basically a small loop with about 6 spots in the center. And when people are walking back and forth from their cars and the donation bins and cars are trying to exit or pull in, it can get dicey so a little patience will help! read more

The young man working the donation area on the weekend angrily threw a box of items I donated to the ground. He opened another box of my items and pitched them through the air across the bins so everything went crashing and slamming into the bins beneath. This was due to my items not being sorted. I cleared out the home of a family member who had passed and explained this to him when I arrived and that I had several boxes of unsorted items. He also hurled insults at me about the items being dirty and nasty. Some of the boxes were dusty from storage but the items inside were predominantly new and still sealed. He took out his phone to film me when I responded to his angry accusations . I got into my car, said "Fuck you," and left. read more

Things have gone downhill fast at this location since the fitting rooms were removed (know that there are no mirrors to try on clothes anymore either). My biggest frustration: everything is completely out of order. In the size M denim section it's approximately 50% size M denim, 25% other sizes, and 25% random items like dresses and bras. The other big issue is that 9/10 times I pulled out something that might be a fit, it was stained. Quality control appears to be nonexistent. Lastly, the repeated announcements every few minutes with the same spiel about how Goodwill is the "best investment in Silicon Valley" were painful. I wish they had more options of XL women's clothing. It seems to be a small smaller Goodwill compared to some other locations I've been to. I was still able to thrift some good finds but noticed they were out of place for example I found an XL shirt in the S section. There are also some things that are mislabeled like it says M on the shirt tag but has an XL goodwill tag. Parking can be kind of hard because it's right in the front. I usually come here to give donations away but never went in to shop till today. The staff kept speaking Spanish at the checkout and ignoring me until I finally had to kind of loudly ask if someone could help me out. The guy pointed at the girl next to him, and when I put my clothes down in front of her, she gave me a weird stare, and then the guy ended up helping me out anyway. Goodwill nooo. What have you done lol. This was my favorite Goodwill. My kids normally go every weekend and sometimes bring other family, just for a day of thrifting. I myself would go in like every other day if not every day during the week just to see what you got. I always find cute clothes. I always have a cart full of stuff to try. I went recently and there is no more dressing rooms?? I had a sweater and jeans on and I had to put all of the clothes in my cart back. Me personally, I cant buy stuff without fully trying it on first to see if it fits right. What a bummer. I have to find another spot to thrift at now read more

Donations are from 10am-7pm but they often stop any donations after 6:30pm...their hours should reflect that.

I scored some high quality items at the goodwill. I found a gray wool swing coat and I found a black midi double breast wool Italian brand coat both in excellent condition. read more

I tried to do a drop off here. The guys in the back were verbally abusive to me, gave me conflicting instructions on where to park when I needed to park close because I had heavy things in the back of my car. When I expressed frustration over being told different things, they treated me like an idiot. At that point, I asked if I should just go somewhere else and one guy shouted that they didn't care where I went and started acting very aggressively towards me even calling me names and filming me. I am a 5 foot three, middle aged woman, and these were three thugs treating me this way in a sketchy back parking lot. It was scary. I thought maybe it was partly my fault because I got scared and felt the need to verbally defend myself which set them off even worse. But after seeing so many other 1-star reviews on here with the same drop off experiences, this abuse of donors (and customers, and employees) happens there all the time. I have donated at other Goodwill locations for decades and their guys are always super friendly and go out of their way to make things easy. Don't let this shady place make money off of your generosity. There are lots of businesses to donate to who actually do good in the community and treat people well. read more

I was in the area so I decided to come in and see if there was anything good to take home with me. Walking into the store it was organized and well put together, everything seamed to be nicely displayed. Shoppers were looking for a bargaian and employees went on with their buisness. Looked in the house wares for some vintage water goblets and it was a bust, none found. Shoes and purse departments were a bust too. Didnt spend too mush time here so to the register to pay and and I was on my way. read more

I thrift often and this is the worst goodwill I've ever been to. I did not feel physically safe at this location. Employees are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. The yelling was constant, at both customers in the store and each other. Employee from the donation area followed me into the store yelling at me. Another male employee repeatedly tried to touch me from behind in the shoe department. I looked around for someone to ask for help in both of these instances and did not feel safe approaching any of the employees. There is a clear lack of responsible leadership at this location. As I parked in front at the Campbell Goodwill out of nowhere a Volunteer/Employee immediately approached me sternly warning me I couldn't park there if I was going to the Social Security office next door. I told him I fully intend to go shopping. I thought I could kill two birds with one stone and while I was waiting for my number I could shop in the meantime. I felt immediately harassed and profiled as a Senior citizen (as well as disabled) so I was returning to enter the store I saw that same Employee and Manager just waiting to single me out. I blasted out some loud words because I don't think they should monitoring their customers before they even start shopping. Again I felt I was being profiled and harassed by both that Employee and the Manager. She engaged in extremely unprofessional behavior and yelled at me telling I couldn't shop and had to leave. I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe I had to deal with this abusive Manager yelling at me from their front entrance in front of both customers and employees alike. She acted as if I had to no right to be upset in being mistreated by her and her staff. She even told me that the employee was being paid specifically to target and profile customers who are going to the Social Security office! This was totally inappropriate and unprofessional as I explained that I have been shopping there for 29 years. All this incompetent Manager could come up with was to tell me to shut up. The only reason I donate to the goodwill is because I can toss the things I no longer want into a box and drop it off and be on my way. But this location insists that you sort each item into the labeled bins while the employees stand around smoking cigarettes with bad attitudes. This goodwill is known for its horrible employees with nasty attitudes. On Monday, I dropped off a donation, and I refused to sort it. I just put the box down and proceeded to my car. An employee walked up to me and demanded I go back and sort my items. I told him no and got back in my car. As I'm driving away another one comes up to my car and starts harassing me and telling me to never come back finally a women employee starts screaming at me saying she has my license plate number and I can never return to that goodwill. By that point, at least 2 employees are screaming at me while other customers are present. Mind you, I have a dementia patient in my car who was pretty upset about the entire thing. This is my neighborhood goodwill that we go to at least 3 times a week. I have spent so much money at this location. Having customers sort the belongings into labeled containers is a ridiculous policy that I refuse to be a part of. Especially since the employees are nasty and not helpful. A couple of weeks ago, I brought some stuff and asked an employee where to put it, and he gave me attitude and treated me like a idiot for asking for help so this time I didn't even bother. You're going to treat me like that. I'm not doing you any So you guys lost a loyal customer. read more

The staff in the donation area are not very helpful. They're looking for reasons not to take your items and they want it sorted in a very specific way. I had a small box of goods but because it was a mix of living and kitchen items he said I would have to sort it first before donating? Seriously? I would not go so far as to say they were rude but they were shouting at folks dropping things off, being unhelpful, and generally just in the way of people actually donating. read more

Angry miserable employees. Couldn't park in the lot-we were asked to park in the Taco Bell lot-what?? I found a nice vintage top but it had big holes in the rayon body. I wanted it for the embroidery but they would only discount 10 percent...on an unwearable top that should have been ragged out or sent to the bins. I was also thrilled to have found a Johnny Was sweater for my mom that had a hole in the shoulder...when I got to the register they wouldn't sell it to me because it didn't have a price tag. Some Goodwill locations have fixed prices for clothing items and this store didn't have a boutique or anything so I found it VERY LAME that they couldn't just give me a price on it and sell it to me anyway. Especially since it was also damaged and probably should have been routed to the outlet or ragged out as well. Overall impression today was no bueno. read more

This review is for the donation department. I brought two large clear bags filled with clothing to donate and placed it in the box labeled clothing only. The employee came towards me and said I could not leave it in the bag because there might be non clothing items in there that they would have to sort out. He said I had to take all of the clothing out of the bags and stood there to check that I do so. I had more bags of clothing and bags of shoes in my car, many brand name and hardly worn but I decided to drive away and will donate it else where. There are places that actually thank you for providing donations. I will not be scolded and have someone look over me , demanding to check that I had properly sorted my donations-- which by the way, I had laundered and folded and placed nicely in bags. If their policy is that the donators must perfectly sort the items and take them out of all bags, to be checked by the employees, then have a sign and please train employees on providing appropriate customer service. read more

I have shopped most San Jose, Mountain View, Campbell, Santa Cruz, Almaden and more of the Goodwill stores for years. As your about to pay they ask you to donate money. I have gone in to the same Goodwill and they ask for a donation for another cause. I have donated thousands of items over 40 years and the fact that they ask for extra money as you pay is So Wrong! If the People at the top leadership of Goodwill want to donate they should. The people working the floor get little pay and are treated like trash. Good Will is for the CEO and the top tier. Over priced items, I can buy a chair or cooler brand new for the same price.. this is terrible. Clothes are exchanged by the homeless so be sure to wash. Most of the product donated is put online for astronomical prices.The stores have whatever is leftover (damaged,stained, etc..) that's not worthy at a high price. FYI...i found a Sharks hoodie in the store but didn't have the price on it. I went up to the counter and asked and one of the ladies that was going to ring me up said that the hoodie was 7 bucks but she asked the other lady that worked there just to confirm. She said it was 10 bucks because "IT WAS THE SHARKS SEASON." 30% increase? WTF? Buyer beware!!!!....whatever season it is and you find clothing of your favorite team. Please add 30% to the sticker price. They don't mention it until you go up to the counter. read more

Decided to check out this Goodwill and noticed that they don't have a lot of clothes for people that wear size small for men's. However, the employees here were very nice. I also noticed on their sign that they offer free certifications which was pretty cool. read more

Came here for the first time today and although I found some really great items I was truly dumbfounded by the manager here. The whole time, he kept yelling across the store either to get the attention of his employees or shoppers. Every time he spoke he seemed condescending and rude. Not to mention, he repeatedly expressed his frustration about customers calling to check on the donation drop-off reopening date due to COVID-19. Mind you, he didn't express his frustrations quietly or to himself, in fact made it incredibly obvious that he was annoyed by telling the whole store about it. I had a good time looking for items but hearing the manager actively complain about phones ringing over and over and over again... when it's literally in your job description to answer and provide knowledge to customers is frankly pretty annoying. read more

Wife and I went to DONATE items to the Goodwill only be turned away by an aggressive employee manning the chain link fence to the donation area who said the store and donation area were closed. It was 7:02pm. Google Maps says the store is open until 9pm. His response: "Yeah, I don't know why it says that but it's wrong and we're closed." Pro-tip: Maybe if you know something is wrong and confusing to your customers, FIX IT! After spending the next several minutes asking if we could please just actually donate our stuff to Goodwill and having the employee tell us that he was just doing his job by refusing to allow us to donate our stuff 5 minutes after a closing time that isn't even correctly posted on Google Maps, we pointed out that he successfully stonewalled us longer than it would have taken for us to simply unload our things and get a receipt. His unsurprising and uncaring response, "I'm just doing my job." I'll wrap this review up by saying if you like bad customer service on principle when you are donating stuff that you've spent quite a lot of money on over the years, then you should definitely try this place out. Wow, pretty sure I just witnessed elderly abuse by the supervisor. Roll up to the back to donate some clothes. Hearing some lady yelling so I look over and it seems to be two goodwill employees. I heard disgusting stuff from the supervisor yelling at this 70yr old VOLUNTEER woman. Yelling at her saying she can't leave without asking permission and when she said she needed to go to the car to check her health the supervisor said I don't give a shit about your health. Like what kind of world do you think it's ok to treat your elders that way. I look over at the other two employees and I'm asking if this is normal and they just say yeah that's our boss. No business should be ram like this and no one should ever treat someone with that much disrespect especially someone just volunteering trying to do the right thing and make a difference in this world. I have tried to drop off donations multiple times to Goodwill in the past few months but every time I have been turned away. The excuse they have is either we are closing early due to short staffing or COVID19 or long weekend (even though it was well within business hours posted online). Man, looks like they are not interested in supporting the cause they are out there for anymore... Maybe the CEO is already getting big bonuses, so why would they care for the cause due to which it is classified as non-profit. What a shame! read more

I haven't been inside their retail store yet, but I usually come here to donate and drop unwanted things off. The donation attendants are hit or miss. A few of them are friendly and okay, but I do periodically come across ones who are rude, unfriendly and unwilling to help. They previously took used batteries, but sounds like they no longer do so. read more

Certainly the closest and most convenient for me. However the drop off service is not the most pleasant from time to time as I feel judged on what I bring in. I do not want to feel uncomfortable if what is deemed appropriate as my belongings are not good enough...An odd feeling.
