There's a rift in the thrift store

I'm more of a Weight-thrifter than a Weightlifter. Don't tell anyone. I buy all my muscles second hand from stores like this. I love Thrift Shops, and you can find so much great stuff and even some nice old music and stuff in them. This is no exception and it's absolutely massive. Some of the bad reviews are kind of judging them as if they were a retail outlet, but the fact that they are charity based and that everything is so cheap and used, means it's such a great recycling concept, and that it automatically has to get a better rating lens (I just made up a hipster term, anoint me people) than the corporate (and carpet, which is what my predictive text wanted to say) places - and I can't possibly give it less than 4 even though I can see why it's not most people's favorite Thrift Shop. Service wise, it lacks. But it's still 4 stars.

Good selection but super expensive! This "thrift" store does offer a great selection of second hand stuff. Books, clothes, housewares, children, etc. And it is good quality from what I saw. BUT, I think they're are having an identity crisis and think they're Macy's. Pricing is really high for a thrift store. A vase I saw in Goodwill for 0.25 cents was $2.00 here. If you're looking for quality second stuff and don't mind paying an arm and a leg for it, this is your place.

Ohio Thrift Store is a great thrift store on Columbus' northeast side. Their clothing selection is huge. A few years ago, I would have swooned at their jacket selection. T-shirts, pants, button-ups -- those are all well-represented too. The prices were a little steep. I have tough time pay $7 for a non-vintage used shirt. Given the selection, though, I can let it slide. The book section has some hidden gems as well. I found a few old printings that would have cost three or four times as much in an antique store. They have an adjoining furniture-only store, so this is a great place to go thrifting. Enjoy!

Mostly new overstock now and no donated, cashier said they're going to be taking out all the donated items.

Great selection and great prices! Awesome spot for clothing. I saw some suits with matching pants for both men and women.

This place is a little pricey for a secondhand store with no dressing room.

I can't believe how low the reviews are. I LOVED this store! Just went in for the first time this…read moreweek and was overwhelmed at the volume of clothing available (especially women's clothing). Yes - the prices are not cheap across the board. Deals can be found, but overall it runs a bit higher than VoA or GW. I'm still not complaining because the store is clean, organized, and you have so many options! Staff is friendly and efficient. I scored two sweaters - one brand new, upscale brand with tags for $12 and one for $4 (it was a 50% tag). Couldn't be happier! Can't wait to go back when it's a season change to see if it's still as good as it was in early winter!

If money matters to you, avoid this store entirely. Even at "50% off," the prices were unbelievable…read more-- the kind of unbelievable that makes you stop in your tracks and wonder who exactly they think is shopping here. * Clothing selection is huge, but if you're short, good luck. The top racks are basically decoration. * Pricing signs are confusing and borderline misleading. The front sign says one color is 50% off only if it's $15 or under, but the rest of the store doesn't mention that at all. * Shoes and housewares were a mess -- like no one had touched the area all day. * Customer service was rough. Three employees up front, and somehow not one of them seemed friendly. my cashier acted like ringing me up was an inconvenience, and any attempt at conversation was shut down instantly. If you're a reseller, don't bother -- you'll lose money. If you're looking for good prices, don't bother -- you won't find them. If you're shopping for yourself, maybe you'll be fine... but only if you're willing to pay more than you should.

This consignment shop is varied and chock full. Seriously... we're talking constant clothing…read moredensity here. (Pardon while I take a little bit of geeky pride in that phrasing.......... Okay. Done. Back to business.) Deja Vu is one of those stores where you will find something.... if you look long enough. There doesn't seem to be a consistent style of clothing here, so be prepared to find examples of every era. This is the kind of place I would go if I were looking for something for a period costume and didn't have all that much time to shop. There's a ton of things here, although there is a lot of variation in quality. My biggest qualm was with the jewelry, which felt way too overexcited-about-the-holidays-and-missed-when-big-brooches-went-out-of-style-ey for me. I honestly enjoy any opportunity to point at something and giggle, but this was too easy. The coat section has some honestly gorgeous finds. I am personally not a big fan of the fur coats, but I ran in to a couple of wool ones that I would love to add to my closet. I'm going to go with the coral reef metaphor for this place: there's tons of variation and something for every animal to eat if it spends enough focused time hunting. Just don't get eaten by an octocloth before you do. I bid you happy hunting.
