I've been a patron of this Goodwill location for years. I really enjoy the new layout and aesthetic changes they've made. Granted, I miss the membership deals and discounts. Although, they professed to carry better merchandise when axing the program. To their credit, my friend and I did find some great scores on our recent visit. It's too soon to decipher if it was a coincidence or if indeed it is true. Some days, we leave with nothing and others we leave with a cartload. More often than not, we leave with purchases. It's definitely worth checking out if you're a fellow thrifter.

Goodwill was found in 1902 by Boston Minister, Reverand Edgar J. Helms. He took donations from wealthy Bostonians and hired people who were poor and who could fix the items. The items were then given to the people who worked on them or they were resold. Goodwill's philosophy is "a hand up, not a hand out". Today Goodwill has become a $5 billion nonprofit organization that provides job training, employment, and community programs for people who have disabilities that might prevent them from getting a job on their own. This Goodwill store is one of their boutique locations that sell name brands and items may be priced higher than a traditional Goodwill store. There is another boutique Goodwill in Boca but is a much smaller store. The boutique locations try to make their stores look nicer than a traditional Goodwill. This boutique store had a ton of Christmas items. They also had a large selection of clothes and housewares. They had luxury purses but I can never tell if they are real. I really liked their back section marked vintage. They had a glass table that I fell in love with but there was no way it was going to fit in my car. I had fun treasure hunting and ending up leaving with a replica of the St. Augustine Lighthouse for $2.

Top shop shoes, guess jeans jacket, dress, sunglasses all from GW. Total cost = under $25!!

Nice attendant in back. Unloaded several boxes clothing and shoes. Gave me receipt. Easy drop off, drive around.

It is a charity thrift shop run by volunteers - the best kind! Not sure what this building was beforehand, but it consists of many small rooms, and they are setup with different items and themes. This makes the place fun to explore. There is a men's room, a children's room, a kitchen room, a book and records room, etc. Some notable sections: a Christmas section, a room of mostly crystal (along with a collection of wedding bells that ring), and a religious/(Catholic?) section. Some furniture have labeled drawers where inside are treasures or additional items. I found a few scarves to take home with me. Not sure how comparable the prices are locally, but it seems to be in between the cheap and the upscale.

From kitchenware to toys to fashionable clothes it's really got everything you need. Everyone working there was really kind and helpful! Since its such a popular place, most thrifted items (women's clothes specifically) are heavily picked through. I found some really good gems in men's clothes and crystal china sets too! Since I'm mostly after fashion and shoes, I will keep it on my list but won't be my first stop. Check it out! Also... I hear something special happens store wise on Tuesdays... shhhhhh!

Everything in this small store is marked and neatly displayed. There's room between most of the items. Price wise it's not bad with some items reasonable and others on the side of a higher priced goodwill -- but better quality. All items seem clean and in good shape. We didn't find anything we liked well enough to buy today, but that's not saying you won't.

According to their Facebook page they have been in business since 2013. They are estate buyers so their merchandise is always changing depending on what they are purchasing . I have tried estate sales before but it feels like trespassing, going through someone's house that you know just died and picking through their stuff as their photos stare at you from the walls. Of course not everyone has died. Some people just want to sell a household of stuff in bulk before a move. In any case I'd much rather purchase estate items which are usually of a nicer quality than thrift, at a clean store like this. Also you are not having to drive around to multiple addresses. Everything I saw was in great condition. They had furniture, collectibles, mattresses, house hold goods, and even some clothes. If it makes up items in someone's household, they sell it. A wooden T.V.console was only $25. They had some nice knick knack shelves and I am currently studying my walls to see if they will accommodate them.I wanted to know if prices were firm or negotiable but the man who was working was chatting to someone else and I didn't want to interrupt. Although they didn't have a huge amount of items, what they do have warrants a look if you are in the area.

Personal ... or sucking up to people who play them. It's gross to see how they kiss up to people who act like they're all that but ignore shoppers who don't cause a scene just because they're "in the house." Yuck. If you do decide to buy anything be really careful because many items have stains, marks, are "past their prime" or just not real. I even noticed that they have a man's shirt for sale there!!! Pleeez. Are you that desperate for cash that you didn't notice that it was a man's shirt???

Both of the women working were so helpful and offered to pick out sweaters for me to try on underneath so that I could really consider the purchase. I ended up taking the jacket in addition to another amazing jacket I found. When I was ready to check out, I asked if I could take $50 off the sticker price (one of the buttons needed to be fixed). The woman immediately said yes. She was so kind. I walked out of there so psyched about my purchases and would definitely recommend this store! I will certainly come back next time I'm back in the area! (Visiting from NY). Can't wait to wear my new coats!!
