This was a very good thrift store. They have a lot of clothes. But they are very well organized by categories. And in addition, the clothes within each category are separated out by sizes. And the clothes are very neatly displayed. They have some toys and children's clothing. They have a bit of furniture. They have some electronics. A small amount of books -- both hard uber s d paperback as well as children's books. And a respectable display of china/bric a brac/housewares. My husband found several shirts he liked. I spent most of my time in the house wares section and found a few vintage items. We were able to take advantage of a few of the daily discounts. They vary each day depending on category and/or price tag color. And are posted on a board as you enter the store. So glad we stopped here when we were driving by. And If we are in this area, we will definitely visit. read more

Just donated some female clothing to the " Community Thrift Shop " on Military Trail". Man, this store is crowded with people shopping. I really didn't know how many people shop here. People are still coming in and out. The clothing that I donated is from my mother's closet. She passed away, and some of these clothes are new. Or, she only wore one time. Praying that they are a blessing to who ever get them. She was a sporty dresser ! read more

You must highly inspect every article of clothing as clothes are put out on racks severly stained and ripped in the hopes you wont see it. No one in the back really checks or cares about their condition. Blood in bathing suits, smelly stains on clothes, severely ripped and torn items, and.. some very mean and rude employees. Shop at your own risk . Of all the thrift stores we have shopped at this one has the most damaged clothes anywhere. I imagine a lot of their clothes probably are salvaged from dumpsters! read more

I LOVE THIS THRIFT STORE!!! It's a thrift store, not Bloomys. Yes, it's possible that there will be rips, stains, or other damages...it's a thrift store. That means USED ITEMS that need tender loving care to keep them from the landfill. RECYCLE, RE-USE, RE-INVENT! The prices are very good (compared to GW, for sure!) I ALWAYS find things that have great potential! 2 days ago, I found a bowl sink for $11 and a Ralph Lauren pillowcase for $2. Historically, I have found things that I have resold and made a profit of $50 up to $325. A little elbow grease can go a long way! Furthermore, the staff have ALWAYS been lovely toward me. I find that if YOU smile, most people will smile back. (Google the Golden Rule, if you're unfamiliar.) Also, you have to hunt, which, to me, is most of the fun of thrifting! It was my first time stopping here last night and I'm not sure I'd come back. The prices weren't terrible. That being said, I did not see anything amazing. Any pretty dishes were missing lids. Prices didn't seem to reflect that. Although the store was mostly organized, the furniture area seemed dusty and dirty. I think they should be wiped down before placing on floor. It wasn't overly packed which was nice. But again, nothing really to love at this store. read more

Best prices by far!! The staff is always friendly, I've gone once a week for 3 weeks and each time have found amazing finds! It's never crowded, quiet and by far where I have found the best clothes and deals. It's my hidden treasure! I drive over an hour to come here and not once have been disappointed! Yesterday was my first visit in a very long time..... definitely since before the Covid era. Not too much has changed. There are still some great deals to be scored along with some unexplainable overpriced items. I will say the store is cleaner than I recall. On the contrary, the clothes hanger situation is nerve racking! The store uses bulky clear plastic and metal hangers. These don't work well with every garment. Needless to say, items constantly fall on the ground as one makes their way through each rack. I absolutely loathe metal hangers; however, this is a situation where I would promote the use of them. It would also allow for more garments on each rack as wire hangers take up less space. Community Thrift offers a nice overall collection of merchandise and the signage is extremely visible as one walks in the store stating the various daily deals. Who doesn't love a good bargain! Another positive factor is the store has an ample amount shopping carts. They also have dressing rooms with mirrors unlike some of their competitors. Finally, the store offers a rewards program where one earns points for each dollar spent. Rewards are $10 coupons. Bonus, enroll via text on your next shop and earn a coupon for instant use. If you're a lover of thrifting like me and have the patience to look through the merchandise and pick up falling garments, I highly recommend this thrift store. The store is very close to the Rapids Water Park. You can see it from their parking lot. One word came to mind when shopping here. Depressing. They have a lot of stuff and none of it was good. Everything looked worn and there was no effort made to make things look appealing. They carry household goods, books, small appliances, children's items, shoes, sports equipment, accessories and furniture. Everything I looked at was stained or chipped. I picked up a racket thinking I might buy it for the camp kids and it was filthy. I looked at a Lily Bloom purse but it too was stained. I don't believe this thrift store is associated with any charity like a lot of other thrift stores. Prices seemed a little high but it didn't matter because there wasn't anything I wanted anyway. This is(was) my favorite thrift store. Prices are great and they have lots of special sales. However today, the cashiers, who spoke non-English among themselves told me there was no sale today. My cashier said it was only yesterday, another worker said it was the wrong "color??", and another said, there is no sale on anything. However, I always keep my text message, thank goodness, and proceeded to tell them the 40% off sale is Thurs., Fri. (today) and Sat. Without even looking at my text, they then said oh yeah, ok. I got the discount. If I had not had the text or not said anything...I would have been charged the full price. Hmmm, wonder what is going on?? This never happened with the various cashiers I have had in the past. They went out of their way to tell you about the sales. read more

You either love it or you hate it. It depends on your taste. If you love cute vintage treasures, this place is a gold mine. If you want trendy young clothes, not so much. This store has amazing sales every day--keep in mind lots of items are already .75 cents or 1.75 before the discount! I've walked out with a bag full of stuff for $1 before. Goodwill is a rip off. And the best part is there aren't zillions of people or employees to bother you. Also, don't forget to walk over to Jeffro's heroes across the parking lot when you're done, they are a very fair priced thrift store too (if you bring up an unpriced item, the owner will just give it to you for super cheap). Overall don't let the neighborhood fool you. I definitely think Community Thrift is a hidden gem. Join the rewards and you sometimes get a hefty discount or even $10 in store credit. read more

I have been shopping at this store since 1986. I've seen it pass through 3 owners and I'm sorry to say that the store has declined to a point where I will no longer shop there. They have added a lot of bright screens to tell you what the specials are but you cannot walk down the isles. If you have a cart you will not be able to navigate the back section of the store. In the past you could find awesome named brand items and the prices were great. Now I wonder if they are for real as some items are almost priced the same as what you would pay in the store for new. I used to spend at least $20+ a week in this store, now I am hardpressed to find anything to buy. I'm sad to see this happen read more

This is my spot. I'm a frequent of this thrift shop and for good reason. This place is the spot to go if you are trying to thrift a lot of items for cheap. I almost feel like I shouldn't be leaving a review because I want to keep this place a secret. First things first, this place is THE place for clothes. I never know what the discounts of the day are, but they usually involve 50% off of some type of clothes. If you are lucky, then you come on a day when it is half off of men's ( or women's ) clothes and stock up. They are organized by size and type of clothes, but you get to hunt through and find the gems inside. I've gotten lucky enough to find half off clothes with price tags still on them! Up next is the accessories/household items. Once again, you have to hope you are lucky enough to come on a day when they are half off, and if they are, stock up! Lots of kitchen ware, decorations, art, games, toys, books, all the typical thrift shop stuff. I'm usually surprised to see things more than a couple dollars, maybe if it is still sealed it will have a little markup, but usually not much. Last but not least is the back section. One of my favorite parts when it comes to thrifting is the treasure hunt. In the back section of the store is a lot of stuff that hasn't been sorted into the other parts of the store yet. Some of it may not even have a price on it, but it is all for sale. This is where you can get your hands dirty and you may have to sort through some junk, but you also have the potential to score big.
