While Goodwill isn't my favorite charity or thrift stores locally, I have scored some great finds in two of their locations, not to mention their online auction site. Locally, I recommend the Windsor store located in the Home Depot complex, and the Industrial Drive location in Santa Rosa, which is tucked behind other storefronts. Priced well are T-shirts, like Brandy Melville for $3 bucks and denim jackets such as Kut from the Kloth for $7. Lamps priced from $5 and books from $1 to $2 dollars each are super bargains as well. Goodwill Redwood Empire has the absolute worst business practices. From the way they treat their employees to the ridiculous pricing model. I've bought tshirts at various stores and sometimes they charge $3 and other times $7. I've asked for clarification on what they consider a $3 tshirt and the answers are all over the place! I refuse to shop or donate to this very badly run organization, from what I can asertain they don't give back to the community as much as they proclaim. S E R V I C E: There's a lot of parking available, that was probably one of the good parts of this location. There was only one staff member I saw, and he wasn't very friendly. S T O R E: Maybe I came on an off day, but there was hardly anything in the store. Men and women's clothing were mixed together and everything else was in random places. Like every thrift store, you won't always find something. But their selection of toys, games and things like lamps and lamp shades are always promising. I've definitely found some great little home decor items as well. You just have to poke around a bit longer. Employees are always friendly which is appreciated in this area for the typical goodwills around here. read more

I worked at the Goodwill on Yolanda for a short time and I was treated unfairly/ belittled my first month by the CEO There was a lot of favoritism from the VP of donations there was a lot of employees unhappy with their job for 15 years but the day I say that I am unhappy with the false advertisement they have offered me when hired 11 paid holidays off then they say that you only get Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day off all the rest you have to work You have a drivers and employees that have to cancel their Vacation time after time to cover their needs all this job cares about is upper Management they are Racist and have told employees that they are there slaves. All the employees loved me and stated that I was the best Manager they have ever had read more

I won't return due to a mixed experience donating. The folks taking the donations are great, really nice and hardworking, but the lady who manages the donation center is extremely verbally abusive and harassing when asked about what donations they accept, her non-stop screaming at me because I didn't know that unopened new hand lotion and soap is considered "hazardous waste" was so ridiculous and cruel; and I was in the midst of donating a car full of new/barely used kitchen appliances, housewares, and really nice clothes. There's several other donation centers nearby where they are kind and clear about what they accept without being nasty abusive jerks, and they actually appreciate receiving the donations!! I found this donation station as I was running some errands. I had some clothes to donate and found they were very near to where I was at the time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was able to drive up and staff members removed the bags from my car and gave me a receipt. These folks made the process easy, fast, and simple. I will definitely be back to donate more items. read more

The prices here for clothing are ridiculous. $10 for a pair of pants ? And not just good quality, good brands - it's EVERYTHING that is overpriced. If you're looking for deals, this is not the thrift store to go to. read more

I went in to check things out. I saw some tops that i liked and wanted to try them on but the dressing room is closed due to covid, but yet you can go shopping with out a mask and touch all the clothes and take them home and donate. So, either way, it's all getting "contaminated." Oh, yeah, and no returning if it doesn't fit you. It makes zero sense. I don't think I'll be wastmy time and money at this place again. read more

This Goodwill has the nicest people that work here. My husband and I hit up Goodwills wherever we go and I will say that the cashier that was working here today was so welcoming and personable! Like we actually had a conversation about cotton! No one ever wants to talk to you at the Goodwill in Oakland or in SF. So thank thank you for the interaction, because my day sucked prior to the brief encounter with you kind lady at the register today at 13:53 per the receipt. I was a big fan until now. The sudden change to 4th st. store and other locations in Santa Rosa CA rates a D-.to F! Could you just survey your customers BEFORE you make a big change that hugely affects their shopping convenience? This regards Goodwill's decision to redo how clothing is organized in their stores. Now the short and long sleeve clothes will be indiscriminately lumped together organized only by size. As someone who shops the whole store via category by category multiple times, I don't want to be losing my patience and concentration pawing through items that interfere with my ability to see what I want. Since Goodwill didn't ask their customers before they did this, they should now run a satisfaction survey. Let's see what the customers say!! read more

Every time I goin there the cashier Ashley is absolutely unpleasant. This has always been my favorite Goodwill, but the last three times Ashley has been grumpy to the customers and other staff members. Also, their prices have gone up and the quality is not what it used to be. read more

Great store! (This is the store closest to my home so I frequent it more than other Goodwills in the area.) Excellent customer service! Very nice staff that are all super hardworking. Organized and clean. Constantly putting out new merchandise! Easy drive through drop off area to if you are looking to donate. Good sized furniture section in the back. Have seen really, really high quality furniture in great condition. Lots of clothes for men, women, and children and stuff for the kitchen/home. Good selection of art that's ever changing. Bigger than it seems from the outside. You can definitely find something worth the trip every time. Most prices are set besides misc items or "special finds" but everything is decently priced. Called ahead to this Goodwill and asked about donating a 3 year old couch, lamps, kitchen utensils,pots, dresser, office chair and miscellaneous clothes. Was told to bring them in and they would receive the items. When I arrived, the man in receiving told me there was nothing I brought that was acceptable. After some discussion, they finally decided to take the dresser and a set of fireplace tools! I will no longer take anything to the Goodwill, but I am sure there are fire victims and other people who would have appreciated these items. This place has gone downhill over the years my wife and I went here yesterday and wow everything is overpriced a used couch they got for free in ok condition 700$ wowwwwwww really not for profit my a** don't bother we found stuff for more money then new in a department store. I thought goodwill was for the people, like a big garage sale, but it's not its a big ripoff stuffed animals for 4-5$ really? Really? These things should be priced to move to make room for more stuff they got for free. I will never go back to this goodwill, rohnert park and Sebastopol roads are priced way better still some high stuff but not even close to this place you can buy a couch for under 50$ at either of these places, in good condition. Step your game up guys if it's cheaper u will sell more and in the end make more money, quantity always wins in the sales world. read more

Most thrift stores are alike, but I am writing a review because of a positive experience I had with the staff at this location. A family member passed away and we cleaned her home out. We donated a large majority of her belongings and with that donation, 3 items were donated by accident. They were not very valuable, but very sentimental. I was worried about going there and explaining this, because I didn't know what the response would be. When my boyfriend and I arrived, we met Rico. Rico was the most delightful man I have encountered in customer service in...years! He walked-up to us with a huge smile on his face, shook our hands and was professional, kind and understanding. We looked around at the mountains of items and hope was small, but Rico seemed confident that he would find our items. We filled-out some paperwork and sure enough, a few weeks later, we received a phone call that our items were found! Rico had talked with Cassie (supervisor) and together, they had stopped any outgoing items before making sure they had been checked. I was so impressed by them and their dedication to their jobs, their organization and ability to make that happen for us. Rico is the definition of top-of-the-line customer service. Even had our belongings not been found, I would have written this purely based on the way he welcomed us with open arms and seemed truly concerned and committed to helping us. THANK YOU RICO! Love this store, been coming here for over 25 years. They remodeled the store almost a year ago, really like the upgrade. Big dressing rooms, good clothes. Have found dresses this summer for $6.99 and $9.99 for maxi. I drop in after exercise at 24-hour Fitness and find shirts for exercise, also have found exercise pants in great shape. They always have a color that is on 50% off. I don't always find a lot of things, but it's fun to look. I found rolling desk chairs for hubby and I, and also a darling rolling chair that just fits my sewing table, each was $5.99. I have also found furniture 50% off if you take it that day. They staff is friendly and nice and they have been there for years. I really save money coming here. read more
