I wasn't impressed. After going through some of reviews here, it seems people are impressed with being able to donate here, but not much on the side of shopping and experiencing the inside store portion. Well, donations that they take, after reading that one review of what they won't accept. Starting to sound a bit like you're not really a nonprofit. Once inside, it's a free for all. I attempted to look around a bit as I was still on a mission to find a piece to use in my apartment. When I went to the furniture section, it appeared that some of those rules did not apply. The pieces here were broken and dusty. If you are basically a resale store, at least attempt to give an item a good once over so that people won't be dupped into purchasing something broken. As for the apparel. The men's selection is lacking. Compared to the other sections, it is nearly minute. It never hurts to look through these section, but since there wasn't much to look at, I headed on out. read more

Selection was great but customer service was lack luster. Employee seemed annoyed and bothered to check us out. Interesting that each piece is marked unlike other goodwills where majority is one price by style. read more

I am surprised by the negative reviews here, compared with the one on Snowden River Parkway. I have only ever had good experiences. They accept donations up to 5pm on Sundays, and they are very clear on what they do and don't take. Polite and helpful employees. Mostly empty parking lot. Employees seemed mostly really good at wearing masks last time I was there. I find the store to be mostly empty and when I've gone inside, it always looks well-organized to me. I usually head right over to the little kids' stuff and it's always looked good. I've never waited too long in the line. (I don't want to throw shade at Snowden river because come on, it's a Goodwill, but I do want to finish by saying, I think this one is better). AND it's right by My Organic Market, with a Starbucks in between them, so what's not to like? Drop off your stuff, pick up a bargain, get a coffee, and do a grocery shop. read more

Good location for donations (which I've done several times), the employees are fast and friendly. Today I ventured into the store to check out the shopping. The store itself seemed dark (low light), the clothing was not well organized by size and the prices were high compared to other thrift stores I have visited. Paperback books for 1.50? Came here because they take donations up until 5pm on a Sunday! BUT they do reject donations: NO dishes NO furniture with ANYTHING broken NO audio cassettes NO lamps NO lampshades NO old school tube TVs NO iron board without cover NOTHING dusty NO sewing or craft materials NO vacuum cleaners Free parking in a strip mall. If you're facing Starbucks, veer right and drive around until you see the open door on the sidewalk - it will be next to clothing bins. If you're on the other side of the strip mall entering from Assateague - turn left to enter the shopping center, then turn left again and drive around until you see the open door. There are bins of clothes next to the door. It's best to call if you have a question if they take something or not. Since the LAUREL LOCATION IS CLOSED, this is the next closest one. read more

This is a nice GoodWill with excellent customer service. Pricing is different then others Goodwills that I have visited. I'm used to all the pants , shirts etc having the same price if it's the same type of clothing. This goodwill had some clothes priced differently based off of the brand. Was excited to see that on some days they have sales. One of there colors on the clothes was only $1. I felt like a winner :-), this store has a nice selection of shoes and great clothes. Some of my finds was a pair of Toms, lord & taylor cashmere sweater. read more

Great place to donate items and apparel!!!

I was being checked out by the elderly Asian acting manager, I didnt get his name. Its Wednesday which means Student discount day but I'm not allowed to get the discount because my university doesn't print the year on my id. I offered to show my current student portal but he said no. I was buying childrens clothes, nothing else. For an organization that survives off support from the community, why are they so stingy. I miss the other manager. She's amazing but I never see her anymore. I'm disappointed with the lack of kindness and customer support at this goodwill. read more

I'm not one to write many reviews .... good or bad. But the experience I just had warrants this one!! Pricing seemed to be a bit all over the place in this Super Store so when I found an item (actually five total of the same item) that I was seriously considering purchasing, I checked online to the original retailers website. A 5$ item new and this store has it priced at 3$. Now I know Goodwill pricing is subjective so it was worth the ask. When I presented the website pricing I was firmly told that they felt 3$ was fair. Ok. No problem. I simply decided not to purchase any of the five items. ***** Here's where it gets review worthy!! ***** I did purchased a high boy dresser during this first and only visit to this particular Goodwill store. After I paid (and rounded up for the betterment of Goodwill as I always do) not one word was spoken to offer any help with my large purchase. Not even to hold the door open as I left the store. I struggled with the dresser out the door, over the high curb, across the lot, and into my vehicle without one person to offer their help. These employees were old enough to know better. I'm sure their mothers would be proud to read this report on their manners!! read more

I actually didn't realize this Goodwill was here until my boyfriend looked it up to determine the closest store to drop off a carload of clothes/furniture/dishes/etc. I was even happier to find out that they were open for donations until 5PM on a Sunday! So many of the Goodwill donation spots seem to be closed on Sundays, so we really appreciated the Sunday hours. Like I said, we had a carload of donations and were expecting it to take a while. The employees were great though - they treated everything with care, but helped us unload the car in a fast, efficient manner. Before we knew it, they had everything inside the store and we were ready to go again. They quickly got us a receipt and we were off. I go to this store everyday. The Ethiopian woman that checked me out was nice but not so knowledgeable. There was a sign that said children clothing $2.00 unless otherwise marked. I had one pair of pants marked and told them to keep that pair. Then she said dresses are $3.25 each and so are jeans. Then is was tax free week, and they charged me tax, and challenged my 25% off discount. Thing is I do not have kids, I buy the clothes for children that are less fortunate and give them to them so they do not get bullied in school. This store is priced higher than all Goodwills' in the area. Racks are overly stuffed in Kids, they can afford to add another rack or two. read more

This is one of my favorite Goodwills in MD, just because it is a pretty good size and so easy to find everything. I must have left with at least 5 good clothing finds. While I don't find something every time, I do have pretty good luck the majority of the time! The last visit, I found a Stella McCartney vest. The best find! It's pretty clean. Has a great selection of stuff, but only 2 stars because of the no bathroom policy. I went in with a potty training 2 year old, who during the course of our visit, needed a potty. I have never been turned away from a bathroom for my kids before. Will not go back. For us, it's not user friendly. read more

I've been thrifting my entire 30+ years on the planet and I've never been in a store that smelled as bad as this one. It's big, has a lot of jewelry and housewares in addition to a medium-size selection of furniture and toys, and of course lots of clothes... But personally I'll go somewhere else to look for bargains. Somewhere I can breathe through my nose. read more
