This thrift store has mostly used items, but you'll also find new items with the original tags still on them. They have apparel and shoes for men, women, and kids. Additionally they have home goods including toys, kitchenware, appliances, electronics, linen, books, sporting goods, and much more. I was pleasantly surprised to see a number of designer and high quality apparel with the original tags still on them. While other apparel items looked only lightly worn. Among the brands I saw were Vince Camuto, Coach, White House Black Market. Most of the apparel were between $5-$20. In perusing the dresses, I was impressed at how stylish they were. Most of the shoes I saw looked worn and dirty. I wouldn't purchase shoes unless they were brand new. I didn't buy anything this time, but will definitely come back to shop for apparel.

During our visit, my wife picked up a bundled stack of empty DVD cases that appeared to be with the merchandise, and instead of simply explaining that they were for store use, an employee abruptly grabbed them away from her. We were completely fine with them not being for sale. The problem was the unnecessary rudeness. Other employees were polite enough to double-check, which made the first employee's behavior stand out even more. The pricing is also far too high for donated merchandise. I tested several electronics and small appliances, and a few were defective or did not work properly, yet they were still priced aggressively. When used items are priced close to retail, customers should at least be able to expect basic functionality and decent service. I contacted the company afterward and received a generic response that technically answered my question but did little to address the actual experience. The Laurel store is much better managed and far more pleasant to shop at.

Meanwhile you have Brooks brothers skirts that sell for up to $ 350 per price for 5.49$ - which is a great deal if it wasn't ripped in a broken zipper !! somebody needs to get an education on luxury brands versus warehouse factory clearance prices on name brand - and you need to inspect the items if they have stains on them no one's going to pay you outrageous prices if they're ripped, no one's going to pay if items are stained- atmosphere is dimly lit and kind of dirty - staff are rude - skip this place altogether!

There actually are two stores here; one handles slightly more upscale items for around $25 each. Especially for people perhaps losing weight and in an intermediate size, the price is right! I found out that when you donate your stuff to this charity it doesn't actually go to poor people. Nope. It gets sold for massive profits in a billion dollar industry and ends up being sold on the streets of these third-world countries. Didn't you watch the Bourdain show about it? The Kenya episode of Parts Unknown. Planet Aid is one of the big culprits in this. That's why they're not responsive to their donators. You're better off taking the clothes to a local charity shop. That way nobody's lining their pockets because of you, and you're actually helping someone, maybe.

A Planet Aid bin was illegally placed on our Community Center Property's Parking lot (with no…read morecontract or written authorization). They were notified to remove their bin 6 times over a period of 10 weeks and each time, an office contact answering the phone said they would immediately remove the bin, but they did not. Constant calling with no removal, led to our having to make a 60 mile round trip to their Elkridge Headquarters office to demand Planet Aid remove their bin from our property. We were told from the office contact, who had been taking our calls for removal, that the manager was notified each time, but obviously kept ignoring our continued removal requests. Planet Aid finally removed the bin after they were told our Community Center Board of Directors would have the bin removed by an authorized metal scrapper. I understand this outrageous practice of placing collection bins on properties without contractual permission is becoming more frequent.

He did not call. At 5:30 pm as we were leaving the house he showed up, no apology, and just as we were preparing to leave. They serve indigent clients and yet they turned up his nose at many of our pieces and rejected them because there was a stain on the wood or a knob missing. I was shocked they would deny poor people items for such trivial reasons. Overall not impressed with the lack of courtesy or appreciation. I'll go with Goodwill.

I received follow-up emails and text messages for the pickup, where the donated furniture was going, and reassurance that the family furniture was going to the right place. Because the furniture was too big for me to move outside, and as Restore can't come into the house, Restore assigned the pick-up to Bulk Brothers. Bulk Brothers acknowledged the assignment, and began their own follow-up text messages, keeping me informed of the vehicle license plate that would do the pickup, driver, and time for pick up. This whole interaction, and follow-on actions by Restore and Bulk Brothers was easy and professional done!

Little that I know that the company that picked up the objects was taking to the dump as they said Habitat for Humanity could not re-sell them. The items were not junk, and could certainly have been enjoyed by persons in financial straits who cannot afford the high prices of new furniture.

We made a quick lap of the store and left within 2 minutes. Its a small shop and could possibly have something you'd like... Unfortunately the front entrance is a huge hassle. Two doors - making it impossible for someone to hold them both open simultaneously for a wheelchair user to enter. There's no way to get through the second door without running over the door holder and being slammed with the first. I suggest removing the second door for easier access. Happy hunting.

This spot had items varying from small to at least a 6x or larger. I did find a few items to my liking, whcih was one pair of pants that were brand new and they were for tall ladies too, a great find for me which is hard in regular stores to find and one top. I was able to try on the items, which I am glad that was an option. I wanted this red dress that came with a belt, which was a 3x, but it was cut like a 1x to 2x in the waist, so that was a no go. This spot has really nice items, some used and some new for both women and men. There is plenty of parking across the street as well as a few spots in front of the store. So check them out. Also they always looking gently used or new items to add to their collection.
