Ok y'all don't let the 3 star rating fool you - this place is a gem. Like come on lmao. It's Goodwill! Why are we being so harsh about a place that offers great clothes for the community at a fraction of the cost/that helps us out with eliminating "fashion waste?" I've bought a whole couch for literally $35 - a whole new mini-L sectional couch! I've bought office chairs here for $20 that retail for $100+ I've also bought so many housing goods from more furniture, kitchen stuff (plates and appliances), and small little finds that make a house feel like a "home." My best friend has found designer brands FREQUENTLY here for outrageously low prices! They take student discounts as well - for all of those students (and alumni... iykyk). 5/5! Our little Goodwill in Mira Mesa is great.

Wondered in here while waiting for 3Ten Churrobar to open. As far as Goodwills go this is about standard in terms of store layout etc. I think what each Goodwill has to offer depends on the surrounding homes and what people are willing to donate. Always interesting to see what people donate. There were a lot of bread makers. And if you like high heels, there are some serious high heels in here in terms of height, They have two electric guitars in the front window display that looked exactly the same so either a band broke up or someone's parents get tired of the kids playing guitar in the middle of the night. A neat thing about this store is their displays. They try to be creative in how they position things within the store so that gives a little bit of flair and an almost a retail feel. They offer a 10% discount for military teachers and students.

Probably the smallest Goodwill location I've ever been to, but the prices are great and the merchandise is meticulously organized.

The pricing is not geared toward the lower ranks but rather the officers. Or they can do layaway if that is still offered. Even though it's tax free it is still high. Prices are a lot better at Burlington, TJ Maxx, Ross, or Kohl's as far as home decor and clothes are concerned. On the upside this place is huge and there is a large selection of clothing, household goods, televisions, small appliances, etc. It is very bright and clean. They have started to display Christmas decorations and trees. But not all have pricing. I was shocked that the ones that had the stickers were ridiculously overpriced!! A cute wooden snowman about 5" was $24.99! What? Please allow me to go to the thrift shop! There is a huge collection of designer purses/bags like Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Frye, Brahmin, Patricia Nash, etc. I was shocked to see LV there! Sorry but I cannot see myself buying with my hard earned money an LV purse at that exorbitant price. My money can be better spent elsewhere but not knocking anybody else that has lavish taste (like my sister ) and can easily afford it! It's very clean, bright, and organized. When I was peering at the plethora of designer purses (hubby was getting nervous-LOL!) and internally gasping at the high prices I noticed 2 of the employees watching me. Neither came over to offer assistance. It felt more like they were judging me just by their demeanor & body language. I can afford to buy one of these luxury bags but refuse to waste my money just for some semblance of status. I prefer to bargain shop so unless they have a great sale here I doubt that I would return.

I've deliberated about MCX Miramar for a long time, and how I should rate it…read more On the one hand, it's an MCX just like you would expect at any major base. So there aren't any issues there. On the other hand there has always been something about this MCX that has been a little off to me. This weekend I finally put was able to put my finger on what exactly that was. The first thing about this MCX is that it is oddly laid out. The building is wider than it is deep, and this lends itself to a strange feeling layout to the store and it's various departments The other thing is the registers are strangely located, and there are very few of them, so even when the MCX isn't very busy it takes a while to get through the checkout line. The last thing is the hours. Maybe they're exactly the same as other bases that I've been on, but the hours here seem very strange. They don't seem to make a lot of sense, and they seem to close very early. Also, the barber shop here it closes at unreasonable hours all the time. The complex itself is also not super convenient to get to, and it's pretty spread out once you get inside of it, with a lot of medians between the different avenues and lanes you're going to try to get to. So yeah, not the best MCX not the worst MCX.

I was researching about…read morefrozen shoulder and someone online stated that once they fixed their posture, it fixed their frozen shoulder. Since I suffer from that, I figured I may as well try to correct my ergonomics. Thus, the search for a good chair was on! BB had bad neck and back pains and got a Herman Miller Aeron, and that helped tremendously. After doing more research, I decdied to get a Steelcase Leap V2. The Leap V2 and the Aeron are basically the two best chairs for ergonomics from what I could read. Next, find the chair! I knew that buying one new for 2000 was out of the question, so I started looking for used ones. I reached out to SD Office Furniture Outlet (who we got the Aeron from) but they didn't have what I was looking for at the moment. After doing some more research, I read that someone got a great deal on several leap V2's at the UCSD surplus store. So I immediately went to their site, searched their listings, and found a good condition leap V2 for 225! Score! Some items are auction style like ebay, and some are buy it now. The chair was buy it now. After doing the buy it now, I got an email saying I had won, and to contact them or make an appointment online to pick up. I chose the latter and made an appointment for several days out. Well, that day was today and I went to pick up the item. At first I got lost but I called the number on the website and they directed me to ste 400 ( I was at ste 100). I went in, checked out the chair, paid, got a receipt, and was on my way! Excellent place to score on some good finds. Note, like most second hand places, all sales are final here. They do accept credit card as well. They have a lot of different stuff on their site so it's worth checking out if you are in need of furniture or other goods. Would highly recommend.

They just added this fee without even announcing it without letting anyone know so of course I removed all the funds from my bank so they wouldn't charge me, because I'm not paying for this and unfortunately I won't be able to use these items as gifts for my nephews. They could have announced it beforestarted charging .They say everything is highly discounted, but it's not worth it with all the fees that they've added.
