I couldn't believe they had a DOLLAR store item (with the tag still on) and had marked the price up to $2.99! Then I found two identical wire hanging baskets... one for $4.99 and the other for $12.99 and that one was missing the hook to hang them! WHO prices these things depends on what you pay, I guess! Goodwill has gotten very very VERY greedy, considering these items were donated to them FOR FREE, and they mark them up BEYOND what they're worth brand new, let alone used from a garage sale. And the inconsistency in pricing lets you know how greedy they actually are. read more

Popped in to this Goodwill today. There were no carts to be had. We saw one in the entire store. I asked why there were no carts and was told they keep getting stolen so they are not ordering any more. I will avoid this store in the future as I need a cart to help with my mobility. I don't think it's fair to punish their paying customers because their carts get stolen. At least Value Village has carts. read more

Straight through the door you can tell this place is different. The clothes are arranged very well but the stuff...any stuff (except records, books, plates, mugs, some fragile things) is just thrown on the shelf sometimes to the point of toppling over. To some folks that's ok. It the mystery and all about the "find". To me, I didn't want to touch anything for fear of knocking the well balanced junk over. Lol. That being said, they have stuff that is well priced. For appliances you won't pay new in the store prices. People are friendly and inviting. If ya are willing to search, you might find something you can take home. read more

Carts were completely taken up when I walked in. I finally obtained one and walked around and found all sorts of things I was needing. All of the Goodwill's in Washington state (and Oregon) are definitely way better than any of the ones way over in Arkansas. So keep that in mind, shoppers. lol May suck on lack of carts, but this location and the others definitely have plenty of neat things to find. read more

Not a bad place to thrift. It's just a little unorganized in some areas of the store. I was able to find some good things but I had to really look. Prices are fair. Unfortunately, there is no fitting room available. Something to keep in mind if you like to try on clothes before purchasing. I went today to look at books for my 3rd grader as he is a big reader. It was posted that children's hardback chapter books were 10 for $10. I picked out a variety of kids hardback chapter books from the children's section and went to pay. The cashier refused to sell them to me as kids books claiming my choices of illustrated classics and 5th grade reading level books were for adults & teens. Despite me respectfully questioning her on this, she would not budge. Even though the classics clearly said "for children" on the cover and the others listed a 5th grade level. Last time I checked teens are 13+. She just kept telling me that they determine what is a children's book based on size & what it's about. Moby Dick or a long chapter book couldn't be for kids. What?! Get a better system for identifying books. Ridiculous. read more

I am a huge fan of Goodwill in general. I love digging through the clothes and finding amazing deals. There are at least 4 Goodwills within a 45 min drive from me so I like to go to different stores on occasion. I went to the South Lacey Goodwill recently and was pretty disappointed. The racks were sloppy and disorganized. Clothes all over the floor. I went in when they opened so those clothes had been there at least overnight. Apparently that they do not take pride in their store. I could overlook a mess but I never overlook poor customer service, which I also experienced. I literally had to call from my cell phone from the fitting room area to get someone to come open a room. Apparently they are blind and didn't see me standing their waiting with several people behind me for almost 10 mins. (?). There are much better Goodwills in the area. Try those instead. read more

I purchased several items here recently. I was told I had 7 days returns option. I have been here many times. But on this occasion, I returned the very next day to return 3 items that didn't fit (Too bad they don't offer a fitting room anymore) wanting my money back. The old nasty manager here was super rude and showing a super ugly old snarled up face. Because one item had the tag removed but placed inside the pocket. Refused my return on this item :( . I had the receipt and the tag as mentioned. Instead of being nice and simply explaining to me that this is not of there policy, she got really ugly and rude with me. I will not go back to this location in the future due to the ugly old hag manager here. They should be looking for a new manger here, one that is more professional and customer friendly. read more

This GW is a nice size, not really busy, has a good variety, friendly staff, and lotsa books/videos. I got my hopes up the 1st time I went because I was able to find a lot of men's jeans in my size which usually is a big deal because the men's selections at most thrift stores are mostly slim pickins. So I stocked up. The last few times I've went, I haven't been able to find any men's clothes worth the money. The pants and polos usually look so picked over now that I give up before I get to the end of one aisle since it's like you touch one hanger and 6 pairs of pants fall on the floor. Maybe I need to learn to be patient with the hunt for good finds and hidden treasure, but this GW doesn't make it easy. What is easy is the search for movies (which is normally what I go for). The dvd/vhs are right in the front next to the books and usually I find a couple of videos I don't have so it's not all a lost cause. This GW does have nice staff though. read more

I have got many things from here. The store has it all. The employees are so wonderful there is one lady there who is my favorite she can find anything that you are looking for. For example one time I came in needing snow gear me and my family were headed to go sledding. Within 5 min she found 2 full body suits.. The place is well kept. Well organized. Well managed. The sort the shoes out very nice I appreciate that. I only wish they put out my furniture at once. Like the other day I bought a couch and I love it. But when I came in a even nicer one was in its place. The thing is if they had that couch out with the one I bought I might have bought both. read more

Clean and organized thrift store with helpful staff. There's a lot more women's than men's clothes though so not much selections for me. At this particular trip though, I happen to run into a $7.99 pants (Goodwill price) that I got for only $1.40 taxes included, because of their pink-tag, $1.29 special for the day so I'm a happy shopper. :) I will be back if I'm in the neighborhood but would prefer to go to the one by Capitol Mall. read more

To be honest, I can never find anything that I need in there. But I can always donate whatever I don't need. I personally rather shop for something new and more expensive than rarely find something that's cheap. The first(and last) time I came in to Goodwill was to find earbuds. They have them in stock, but they're so unbelievably cheap, I had to toss them out. Now I only go to Goodwill to drop off donations. I understand that some go there for cheap items like school clothes or simple appliances that could be ruined in a short period of time, but I rather shop for quality long lasting items. read more

As secondhand and thrift shopping goes, this is definitely one of the premium spots. The people who donate here must be quite affluent because we continually find high-end brand name stuff in practically new condition here! We recently decided to change up our furniture and found a vintage leather chair and a beautiful microfiber couch here. I've also seen brand name mountain bikes that would sell at a used bike shop for ten times the asking price here at goodwill. This Goodwilil is pretty large, but deceptively small inside. They have a separate drive thru donation drop off which took no time at all with two friendly employees. Inside, the stock was a bit disappointing. Very small housewares section with most of the floor for clothes. They also had a number of new items (basics, like socks and belts). I like the gamble of random stuff. Some days you got it and some days you don't. This was one of those days. read more

This Goodwill location has a pretty good variety, even though the store is not really big. One of the things I like to shop for is board games; they usually have a lot to choose from. Sometimes you can find older games or games that are hard to find. The furniture selection is fair, depending on the day you go. Some of it's a little overpriced, though. One of the things I like about this Goodwill location is the drive-up donation which allows you to drop off your donations without even getting out of your car. It can't be much more convenient than that! The attendants at the drop-off site are prompt and courteous, so the experience is usually a pleasant one. If you're looking for a decent thrift store, give this location a try. read more

When I went there it was a quaint and clean store. My sister, niece, and brother in law went there today and after making their purchase the manager comes up and says someone switched the tags and demands the cashier refund their money and take back the backpack. I didn't know all sales weren't final. Then the manager implies they switched the tags! How embarrassing and rude. If this is how they're managed I can NEVER see myself going back or referring anyone to shop there! The cashier was nice, but who wants to be treated like that!? If you want the uncertainty of an egomaniac manager coming at you then be my guest, shop here! If not, don't bother entering the store. Such a disappointment ! This goodwill has pretty good variety and is well staffed usually. Dressing rms are clean and everything is marked well. My only beef is the cashiers sometimes give me a hard time when using a coupon etc. when I generally have no trouble at all at other locations. read more

I have found some pretty good deals here, but they charge way more than other Goodwills for shoes especially. I've never bought shoes here for that reason, because even on 1/2 off days the shoes are still priced like new for broken, scuffed, soiled and stained pairs. A punctured pair of rubber rain boots are not worth 19.99, no matter what brand they are. read more

This was my first time being in this store and it was okay. Some of the store associates mean mug you and stare at you like you aren't allowed to be in the store then some of them are helpful and ask how they can help you. Just got a feeling that they just didn't like who I was but I just went on and did my own business and couldn't find what I needed but there furniture is off the charts low price and that's the best and most appealing feature of this store is if you need to sell furniture then buy some new furniture this is the place to go. read more

I frequent this Goodwill as its nearby, but its definitely hit or miss. Their items seems a little overpriced, and not carefully edited. I find more stuff with holes and stains than not. Goodwill's return policy is theft!!!! The definition of a refund is to give the customer back their money!! Not refund it to a gift card so that you are forced to spend it in their store ONLY!!! That is an exchange. You have exchanged an item for instore credit. The tag was still on the item, i had the receipt, i had purchased the day before and i paid cash. Yet still they refused to refund me wmd instead proceeded to agrue with me stating that they did refund me my money. When i asked the assistant manager to read the definitions of both exchange and refund, he hung up on me. Very poor customer service. Why do they insist that we keep the tags on the item if we want a refund if they refuse to refund your money?! read more

Paula, the manager of this store, was my checker today. I had several items, when she couldn't find a price for one she made up her own, and charged me for it without telling me. I checked my receipt before leaving the store and found that I had been over charged big time. She refused to give me a refund, only store credit, and tried to justify the ridiculous price instead of accepting responsibility for failing to communicate it to me. In the past, whenever a price couldn't be found the employee would always let me know what their price was before charging it. I would expect at least the same level of customer service from the manager. To make matters worse I couldn't watch her ring up my items because the display wasn't visible. Thankfully the staff at the Lacey store on Galaxy Dr. offered to fix it and I'm super grateful.
