I asked our cashier, "Joe," if I could enter my phone number for any discounts or to accumulate points toward membership benefits, and he rudely said, "It's too late." When I asked what he meant, he repeated that it was too late because the store was closing and he couldn't allow me to enter my number, even though it wasn't 7 p.m. yet, the store was still open, and there was still a line of customers checking out. I wasn't asking for anything complicated, just to enter my number on the keypad right in front of him, ring up our items, and check out. I also asked if my mother could sign up for a membership, since I'd been raving about this store and she was excited to join. He said no to both. I was genuinely confused because he seemed annoyed with us, and we hadn't done anything to him. Confused, I asked for a manager. It wasn't a miscommunication, since Joe spoke perfect English. I just genuinely didn't understand the refusal. While waiting, I overheard another cashier explaining the day's color-tag discounts and promotions to a different customer. Joe never offered us any of that information. We were met with rudeness and dismissiveness from him. When the manager came over, she had an attitude and talked over me as I tried to explain what was going on. She said Joe meant "there's no deals on Sundays" and pointed to the sign. I told her I already knew that, I can read, and I've been a member there for years. I was trying to explain that Joe had refused to let me enter my phone number, sign my mom up for a membership, or tell us about the color-tag discounts, claiming it was too late because the store was closing , even though there were still people in the store. The manager's response was that if we needed discounts, we should come back Monday through Thursday, which missed the point entirely and left my mother and me feeling like we'd been stereotyped as customers who were only there for discounts. I've shopped at this store for years and brought my mother because I wanted her to love it as much as I do. Instead, the visit left us feeling dismissed and stereotyped over what should have been a simple, friendly interaction. Joe and the manager were rude and unwelcoming, which made us so uncomfortable. A little patience and basic courtesy would have made all the difference. Please work on your customer service.

I chose it because it had the best reviews among all the thrift shops I had looked over in the area. Immediately I was welcomed by a lovely labradoodle dog named Stitch when entering the shop. The staff there were friendly and very professional. This small thrift store has the best prices and displays I have seen since I moved here a few years ago. The Christmas room displays were eyecatching as well as the 40% discounts for Christmas items. I bought a vintage bracelet with dangling good luck charms - too hard to resist with a fair price. Lady's tops and shirts were only $1.75. Sleeping gowns & slips were only $1.75. I purchased a some new stationary, Christmas card set, and clothing with my bracelet. Mondays and Thursdays have 25% off sales but they are busy. Weekends are busy too. You can always get a 20% off coupon if you donate. Also, since there are no changing rooms wear something close fitting so you can try on clothes over what you're wearing.
