Well organized. Some employees are kind, some seem grumpy to be there. Relatively overpriced in my opinion. Small parking lot.

The Goodwill has became so unaffordable and staff is so rude. They get all this free stuff and price the items so high it's ridiculous, and then when something is damaged and you ask them can they go down on it they wanna give you 10% when it still store price on a used item. Everything should be price the same. just because it has a tag on it don't mean it's worth a lot, it's old outdated and priced so expensive and only worth $2 I will not be returning read more

Goodwill Store & Donation Center - Thrift Stores Near Me - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

This location has become a quick favorite of mine since moving downtown! They currently mandate mask wearing and sanitize carts in between customers. This store has a smaller footprint than other Goodwill locations, but has the perks of being located in an area of a variety of demographics who donate here. I've never left empty handed here and have found many designer brands in clothing and housewares--several with the original tags still on. Staff is always friendly and I look forward to returning again! read more

normally love the clothing selection and craft goods. got a monitor in a taped up box; couldn't checked if it worked, asked cashier if it would work and assumed it would turn on. Doesn't work, screen is glitched out and i'm out 15 dollars. I don't recommend the electronics . read more

So far, I've only had experience with the donation area of this Goodwill. It's pretty slick. There is a convenient parking spot right out front of the (automatic) door, so it's so easy to bring your things in. Someone came to help me right away and gave me a receipt for tax purposes. I've never donated here before, but I vastly prefer it to Value Village on North. Vsquared, as I affectionately call it, has been a great place for treasures over the years, but I really dislike donating there. You have to go in to the main store and TRY to get someone's attention. When they deign to look your way, they treat you like they hate you and begrudgingly call a mysterious person in the back to meet you at the donation door. Sometimes this person comes. The last time I donated, I hauled at least 5 heavy boxes and bags from my car myself, set them by the donation door, and left because no one came. They've never offered a receipt either. Goodwill is now my go-to place for donations. They do great things and employ people with disabilities - support this place!! read more

They have lots of Halloween stuff if your looking this is the place. And since you won't be wearing it every year even better, the price also helps They have lots of kitchen accessories and a lot of clothes if your looking something. The employees are very friendly and nice so that helps. Because being constantly asked if you need help is very annoying lol I'm excited I found 2 nice flower vase and all under $7 THATS a bargain. wow! They let this fly huh? 1. They do not test any electronics. I have gotten many things home and they do not work like they should . They do not actually have enough functioning batteries to test potential buys. I plug in and turn on a lot of items im store that simply don't work. I mean, 39 dollars for a completely nonfunctional , cheap record player? Please dont sell obviously broken electronics! come on guys. 2. Overpriced! The same dinner plates in used condition at goodwill are the same price new somewhere else! I assume this is with many other items. 3. No parking: They seem to have employees or tennants using the parking lot 100% of the time and can't control the parking situation on their own premise. 4. It's a chain store. You give goodwill free items, they sell it for too much money, and some fat cat buys another mercedes somewhere while employees make nothing (despite the brainwashing you hear on the radio and tv about how "they help the community" I guess being a wage slave is helpful?). Orrrr you could donate your items to another place that doesnt operate like a chain store. read more

This is a decent Goodwill. There is an extremely high turnover rate with it being so close to UWM. When I am in need of some crazy clothing item for a costume, this is the first place I check. I've found some real gems in the media section (cds/dvds). Cashiers are generally fast and efficient. I feel they have a large selection of stuff and I donate here as well :) read more

Love this Goodwill location. it's small but it works. Not the easiest place to get in and out of so suggest street parking whenever possible.They have everything a typical Goodwill would have though and they keep it moving here. The key for this place is the location and that right there makes it all good. Not much else to say for this place other than as most Goodwill's are this is one big garage sale! read more

Aside from Retique, this may be the best Goodwill in the city. Pros: Free lot parking, convenient metered spots close by, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, and a solid selection buoyed by the proximity to UWM. Cons: The line can get a bit crowded on the weekends, but it is worth the wait. Extra points: a small but incredible used music and movie selection -- VHS, DVD, CDs, and vinyl. All CDs and vinyl are 99 cents (!). Buyer beware of the quality, but if like me you enjoy checking out old records at a Goodwill or other such places...audiophile you're not! I should note that all 4 CDs and 2 records I purchased play just fine. It's already in my calendar to visit every 3 weeks to check out the music selection alone; I can't imagine the other bargains awaiting in the clothing section. read more

This store is located right on Oakland and Locust it used to be a Walgreen's before they moved up the street. The store is clean, but smaller than other locations in the area. I found a set Food Network drinking glasses brand new. They originally 30 bucks and were being sold for $9.99. They have deals during the week for students and seniors and on Saturdays you can get 10% off purchases Sundays and Mondays is 50%off tag sales(depends on the color). There are no dressing rooms. The drop off center is by the parking lot. read more

Okay... So I love me some Goodwill. Love Love Love. I have found really great finds n the past. However there is something about walking in a clothing store and smelling a scent that is sour, old and alarming. The YAY Great selection for great prices The NAY It smelled awful in there. I would not buy a single piece of clothing in that store due to how bad it smelled. My friend and I took a look around and walked out. We will just pay full price at the mall thank you! I love Goodwill, this location does not disappoint. I've lived near this Goodwill for about a year which means I've been there a ton. It's a small location but filled with lots of little gems. Good location for: -Clothes (I've found great dresses here) -Shoes -Kitchen wares -Left over target clearance items (my fav!) Not so great if you don't like small areas and parking is kind of a nightmare. If you are looking for furniture items I suggest a different location as the space is limited and they only have a small area for furniture. Pro tip: Get the rewards card...you get extra discounts and opportunities. It is great. read more

They have a good selection of mostly gently used stuff that is for the most part very well organized at least in comparison to thrift stores I am used to. Goodwill doesn't take much or maybe even anything in the way or stained or torn clothing. All of the electronics are available for testing. Even the books are in good shape and there's a decent selection of those too. Plus, the staff is very friendly the few times I've been in, and they're helpful too. I want to check out other Goodwill stores in the area to see if they measure up to this one. read more

Pros: large selection of women's clothing, decent amount of men's clothing, lots of housewares, small parking lot, quick and easy donation drop off, lots of staff walking around to get help from Cons: parking lot is very small and usually full which leaves you with street parking which is unfortunately metered and also busy, very small jewelry selection, while they have lots of women's tops a lot of it is outdated so you have to do some searching to find the good stuff (which there is a lot of it!) Overall, one of my favorite Goodwill stores! I've found some great dresses and tops there that were in style and basically brand new. I've never had to wait long to get into a dressing room, which in some stores the staff are slow and few so you wait 10 minutes for assistance. read more

Conveniently located by the bus stop. Great stores with great selection. It may not be as big as other stores, but probably due to its close proximity to UWM I found a lot of branded clothes from Macy's, Kohls, abercrombie, American Eagle, you named it, all over the store. Found an oven proof plate for just $1, which save me a lot from having to buy a baking tray. Goodwill has make my dream, getting branded clothes for less than $5, come true. Very easy return, as long as it is in 10 days and not AS IS, couple times I don't have time to queue for the fitting room in the weekend and just return the clothes the next week I visit the store. There are always new stuff coming on the floor and there are always customers there no matter what day and time you go. It is a thrift store, so don't wait to buy something you see, because it might be gone the next time you're back. read more

This place is tiny, but has a more upscale clientele. Men's section is smaller than other Goodwill's in the area, but there are some gems to be had. Parking is a pain, and the street parking is usually your best bet. +1 star for location near the East Side. read more

This is one of the best goodwills I've been to in the area. I was surprised at how busy it was on a Friday afternoon. The things that separate this Goodwill from the others include the superfriendly staff, the store layout (and excellent holiday decoration), and some trendier items (probably due to nearby UW-Milwaukee campus). Not much by way of men's clothing though - you're probably better off going to re:threads. Check it out. read more

Store is new and workers are friendly. It is a good thing we donated before we went in or there would have been NOWHERE to park (not even the street), 2-3 cars were circling the parking. The store itself is a little messy (as is any goodwill), but some of their furniture should really be thrown out (there was a couch they were selling for $4.99 that had holes, scratches and cigarette burns in it). My husband did find a pair of Kenneth Cole Jeans and a pair of CK jeans for $7.00 each. The guy working the donation center was helpful and jolly. read more

Nice store, lots of clothes. The media selection was pretty bad; picked over. I found some nice board games. The staff is friendly and the location is convenient. Its proximity to the university probably means you won't find many gems unless you go regularly. read more

It's your standard good will but with a more boutique modern look to it. We all know Goodwills for items are hit and miss depending on the neighborhood/location etc. This one, always seems to please me! great bargain finds in dresses, skirts, and more! This is by far the best Goodwill I've been to in the Milwaukee area. The staff are very kind and are more than glad to help you if you need it. The selection of clothes here is actually great, too, in comparison to other Goodwills I've been to. I just feel that the parking lot could be bigger, considering it's always full and there is nowhere to park nearby. Other than that, A+! read more

I am saddened by what has happened to our Goodwills! For the past 10 years, I have been going to our two neighborhood stores. Almost everyday!! I have met several people there, some have remained my friends. Had much fun socializing and sharing stories about all the treasures we have found. Getting excited when the workers would bring out carts! Now that is all gone. No jewelry, no carts, no old nestalgic items. Only overruns from box stores. I especially miss the jewelry!! My co workers would always comment on what pretty jewelry I had. Now I go in maybe once a week and come out empty handed. I have had two coupons in my wallet for a month now and can't even spend them. I have gone to your online store. The prices are too high along with the extra handling fee and shipping. It lacks the personal and social warmness of shopping in person. All the friendly managers and workers are gone also. Not the same place! So sad! Will probably be reduced to once a month, only because we have two stores that are close. So sorry it came to this, not everyone likes to shop online! I miss the old Goodwill!! read more
