Goodwill Store & Donation Center located at 1900 Harlem Ave, North Riverside is a must if you want second hand things. In here, you can find different furniture and other equipment perfect for your home, it comes in various sizes and designs and you are free to choose everything you want. They also have different clothes for children and adult. If you have kids, they also have different types of books and also clothes that are perfect for them. Everything they sell in here are although second handed but all are in good condition, have good quality and have an amazing cheaper prizes than the mall. The store has a parking space. It is also clean and well organized that it is easy for you to find anything you like. Lastly, in here you can only shop inside the store and they have a good customer service which is really great.

Goodwill thrift stores always have the best organizations and cleanliness; however, they don't typically have the most amazing prices on clothing, shoes, and accessories. Although most clothing items are presented at almost mint conditions, primarily hubby and I are here for vinyl records, household gadgets, and electronic items. We were interested in some speakers for our newly-found turntable. For $3.99 or $4.99 per speaker, it was tempting for us to purchase one just to give it a try and see if it works. In the end, we decided to wait on them and continued our exploration onto other thrift store. Perhaps other thrift shops have better inventories. I'm not sure if Goodwill does any extra promotions on weekends or holidays like what Unique, Village Discount Outlets, and Salvation Army do when they try to liquidate the older inventories. There aren't as many Goodwill locations in the city of Chicago and in Chicagoland, so I don't see the need to use this store as our go-to thrift store. We don't live close to North Riverside at all. This location is very close to the North Riverside Park Mall. Parking is ample and convenient.

    Messy.

I wish I could give this Goodwill more stars but I was disappointed. I love going to second hand stores and charity shops. I garage-sale shop nearly every weekend in the summer and buy most of my family's clothes, books and toys second-hand. So I was excited to stop by a new-to-me Goodwill tonight. But it was so messy and smelled odd. The prices were higher than I expected. It made me uncomfortable to be in such a cluttered, messy and disorganized space. I did see workers on the floor trying to be helpful but I don't think they could keep up. Things were piled up everywhere. The toys were just heaped in bins up high, not on shelves. Smelled awfully smoky tonight too so I didn't stay more than 15 minutes. I usually will shop for an hour in a good Goodwill. See photos.

Took my daughter here instead of north Riverside mall today and found all these cool things for way less than anything she would've got at the mall. Every thing's brand new and the price came out to around $11 in total, my daughter's happy, I'm happy, and my wallet's happy. Everything i bought here was originally from Target, other than the target items the rest of the store was dingy, old, and used (of course). However, if your a frequent Target shopper definitely stop by here before going there, you'll safe some serious dough.

As this is my first time at this Goodwill...it was at first glance smaller than the one in Northbrook...but very helpful when I helped my friend drop off some old tv's she had. Very busy but small selections....ALOT of khakis. lol But these places help other people so I dig the Goodwill stores.

This has to be the cleanest and friendliest thrift store I've ever been to! I love it here. It's worth checking out.

Going off a hunch, I usually find exactly what I need at an amazingly low price. The bonus is, it helps those in need when you donate.

Almost any volunteer is wonderful & very friendly & kind. But today I encountered such a rude witch! I am very mellow & I bought alot as everything in the store was half off. Well, I bought so much & when I went to pay there was a beautiful black lady working the register & she is so kind & cheerful. But the woman bagging my items had a very mean attitude. She jumped on me because I removed the hangers. She demanded to know what I did with them. I told her I put the hangers on a rack. She went off on me! It took me by surprise because as I mentioned usually all the volunteers are super nice. This lady has a lousy attitude. She also told the nice clerk the wrong prices. Everything was half off & that nice lady had to correct it. The mean lady proceeded to rag on & on about how now she has to get all the hangers I hung up! I did tell her I am sorry I did not know it was so important to her. But she just acted like a jerk. I never had this experience with anyone there. The baskets are very small & I was shocked this jerk would get on me like this. I remove the hangers to make room for what I buy. She was totally out of line. I posted this on their page & I seen it was removed! Don't they care if someone is out of control working at the store? If I see her again I will not put up with her or just not reply at all. It is hard enough in this world without fools like this around. I spent $64 over there & you would think my business would be appreciated. I have shopped at other thrift & resale stores & always am treated with kindness. This lady should not volunteer if she has such a sour attitude. It is a good store but avoid the small blond with greying hair. I am 68 & do not act so crabby like her. Who ever is in charge talk to this fool & tell her to treat customers with kindness or hit the road. I am sure they can find volunteers who are nice.

I rung the doorbell and a grumpy old man with glasses came to door. No hello, no verbiage. Either he has a vocal problem or didn't want to be bothered I couldn't figure it out. He reached for a bag I placed on the ground and took it inside. He came back and thought I was going to hand him the 2nd bag which I placed it on the ground for him. A short older guy came to assist and he took the luggage and 3rd bag. He told me to have a nice day but I requested a receipt. The grump man gave it to me. I wish they had more hours. But what they have offers enough time for me to shop there. Such a pleasant shopping experience! My Husband luvs the store too & trust me he is not into shopping. We both had a great time! The store is super neat & the prices are low to very fair. Push baskets to shop with. Enough room to browse around. Round racks for clothing so you don't have to be in a narrow isle & in someone's way. Dressing rooms if you need them. The clothes & other items are very nice. Not junk as other stores try to sell & for high prices. The prices are good & reasonable. I go for clothes & more. But they do have a very nice selection of furniture, dishes & house items, toys, shoes, nice coats & much more. This was my first time shopping at this wonderful store. I plan to go back as much as I can. I was lucky to be there when all blue tickets of clothes were only $1! Yes, $1!. You can't even buy anything at a $1 Tree store for $1 anymore! Some things are a bit pricey but not bad at all! I love shopping at store like this. Many people donate nice clothes etc. Also I luv finding different kinds of jackets, coats, tops & more that you do not see in chain stores. The staff is very friendly greeting waiting to get in customers with a cheerful "Good Morning" & so pleasant to deal with. For the holidays I see the store has extended hours. The down side is the regular hours are only 3 weekdays open from 10 am till 4 pm. But I will take it. I am retired so very lucky I can shop here & it is not super far for us to drive to. There is a huge parking lot in the back as well. I can't wait to shop here again. For some time I was shopping at another thrift store & 1 of the volunteers was so unpleasant & mean to me. So, It looks like they lost alot of my business. This is another reason I am so happy Gerry & I finally tried this store. We always drive by it & now we can shop here & find some nice things. A very cheerful & pleasant shopping experience for sure.
