The store itself is clean and organized and I would have given it 4 stars. The 1 star is for the poor customer service from a particular cashier. I was going to purchase a calculator, didn't particularly need it. So when the cashier started huffing at the register and walked away to call a manager (without saying anything to me) I decided not to make my purchase. I had handed her a $20 bill so I told her nevermind and waited for her to hand me my money back. Instead she says she needs to clear the problem with the register. I assume she wasn't understanding that I was not going to purchase the calculator so I explained and asked for my money back. She then replies, "Can't you just wait? He's coming now." Excuse me?!? I changed my mind, no transaction was pending on my end, all she had to do was hand me my money back. She could clear up the issue with the register after I left. The cashier next to her was free the entire time, I could have been handed off to her to finish my purchase but instead this cashier thought it was necessary for me to wait for her to solve her problem as she held my money hostage then had the nerve to comment as if I was the problem. read more

I actually liked this Goodwill store. The employees were friendly and the selection of women's clothing was good. The store was clean and well organized and they were moving all of the spring and summer clothing near the front of the store when I was in there. I did not look at the other items in the store, I only had time to peruse the women's and men's clothing. I was looking for a particular item and did not find it but I will definitely look here again as I found same really nice, lightly worn, brand name clothing that I purchased. When I went up to checkout there were a few people in line but they added another person to a register and they quickly dispensed with the line. read more

My experience at this Goodwill today is by far the WORST customer service experience I HAVE EVER HAD. The disrespect from management to employees today is was absolutely disgusting. Today was intended to be a mental health day for me due to a recent divorce that has taken a financial toll on me. I went here to find USED pieces of clothing to put together to create my daughters homecoming dress. I was extremely excited because above the dresses section was a visible red sign that stated 50% off RedTag Dresses.(which I took a photo of) From 12/12:30pm to 4pm I had spent hours scavenging through USED clothing. I thought it was such a great deal I began adding multiple dresses to my cart to make other young girls at my daughters school custom dresses that needed them but couldn't afford anything expensive. My cart was so full people were stopping to talk to me because they wanted to know what I was up to. I tallied up just close to about $200 worth of items just to get to the counter and be told they were not going to honor what was on the sign. I said ma'am I've been in here for HOURS because of that sign,"could I please talk to a manager?" 1st manager comes out, walks behind the counter and stares at me and waits for me to say something. I explain again I have been in the store for hours because of this sign, I wanted to know if they would still honor that since it had been hanging there the entire time. She says NO,that Kroger(IDK) was there and must have put the wrong sign. I said ma'am that is false advertisement and the customer should not be penalized for the store not having the proper signage up. She gets irritated and says that's the answer, I can get someone else but they are going to tell you the same thing. (Of course they would because negativity,irritation and bad attitudes spread) Manager # comes from the back already geared up to tell me NO again with the same negative attitude, eye rolling, body language. Not even 1 minute later 3 more people come from the back of the store surrounding the counter. While I don't scare easily, I felt extremely disrespected and double teamed. You would have thought something was really going on for all of this. Anyway, I proceed to explain that I have had multiple businesses and this is terrible to not honor something when it was a store mistake. It's misleading, embarrassing and false advertisement especially to be a thrift store that receives FREE donated items. Manager #3 proceeds in saying okay the fact is you're not getting 50% off so theres No point in you to keep going. At least 5 times like I'm a child. Again, bad management and disrespectful. Manager #2 Says you won't get 50% off so what are we doing? I told her I'd be contacting corporate and if she could give me their number? I am told NO! YOU CAN LOOK IT UP YOURSELF. This completely triggered me and I will say I fell short, so her and I had a few words. However, after All 4/5 of the people behind the counter started following me out the store. #2 wanted to provoke a fight. Another employee which was a guy kept saying things to me as they flip me off and tell me to do something (fight) I guess. (EVERYTHING SHOULD BE ON CAMERA) Disgusting! Is this what GOODWILL is about now? I will NEVER support or shop with this company again. The price gauging, lack of training and proper management. What happened to the Christian store that helped people? I have read so many terrible reviews about similar incidents. Something should seriously be done! read more

I didn't go in to the store, but went to the drop off door for donations. This is the first time I've actually dropped anything off, as the last time I went here I didn't even end up dropping anything off as a 15x15 area was piled with donations behind the building--during hours. This time while there were bins for stuff, they again overflowed. I piled what would be thousands of dollars of items retail on the other boxes and bags, feeling like my donation was worthless. There's something wrong here, and I feel like my donation isn't really doing any good. Next time, even though I'm not a church person I'm going to give to grace thrift so at least my donation can help within the community. read more

There's something to be said for Goodwill when it becomes such a frustrating shopping experience that it convinces this notorious tightwad to actually go out shopping for "new" rather than have to deal with the poorly organized, chaotic madness that is the typical Goodwill shopping experience. Listen, I love the purpose behind Goodwill. I do. I'm a disabled working adult myself and I wholeheartedly embrace any kind of effort to improve upon the 70% unemployment rate among disabled adults. Goodwill as a trainer of disabled adults for the workforce? It's refreshing to see a non-profit focus on putting disabled adults in living wage jobs rather than those ridiculous $.33 an hour sweatshops. Okay, they're not actually sweatshops - but they're condescending and victimizing. End of rant. Yesterday was my 3rd visit to this recently relocated Fishers Station location of Goodwill that went in in a new strip center right next to what will eventually be a SuperKroger (or whatever they call them). As has been noted here, there are definite pluses with this Goodwill - they're incorporating what seems to be a Goodwill-wide design change involving multiple checkout registers along a row with a definite flow to it. This is a huge change and, quite frankly, an overdue one. I also agree with observations that this location is better organized, infinitely cleaner, and has better carts that actually roll more easily. However, and you knew there'd be a however given my rating, my most recent visit convinced me that this location has some definite operational issues that definitely need to be worked out if it wishes to be a shining star in the Goodwill retail world. Mind you, I understand that it is pretty much universally accepted that the monthly 50% off Saturday event takes the usual Goodwill chaos and amps it up to Wal-Mart shopping on Black Friday levels of frustration. I don't care which Goodwill you go to unless you're in a more rural setting - the store will be more full, the lines will be longer, the wait will require patience, and the store displays will be in disarray. I mean, I pretty much live like Pigpen and even I find it kind of gross. On this visit, which was on Saturday, Feb. 3rd, the crowd in this particular Goodwill was particularly busy. It felt as if everyone had spread the word that this was the Goodwill to go to and, thus, everyone did. The floor plan in Goodwill has always been a touch tight, but in times like these it was particularly difficult being in a wheelchair and trying to make one's way through the aisles without hitting/getting hit. Again, I get it. It's a sale day at a thrift store. But, when your primary mission as an organization is serving the disabled I have higher expectations for how the disabled are treated and able to access your services. This was unreasonably difficult. Additionally, let's talk about the flow of that line - it snaked around the actual created line, went all the way back to the housewares, turned left and wrapped around the end row of housewares, snaked all the way back to the back of the store, and then went down the back row of the store. SERIOUSLY. Maybe it's time to hire more cashiers? Maybe it's time to call up one or two people working lazily stacking shelves to help people out or at least make some effort at being friendly? As I only had four items myself and could never find a decent place to both get through the aisle AND get in line, I finally gave up in frustration and left the store and headed over to buy something new. This goes to my final observation - when, oh when, is someone at Goodwill going to learn how to size items? I have one manager, in particular, who likes to tease me about my arrivals at his store - I really want to say "Well, if you'd size more than 1/3 of your items correctly I wouldn't have to keep coming back." I doubt I've ever had an experience where every item I came home with was sized correctly. While I'm willing to say that clothing gets out of place, especially on sale days, when tags are actually incorrect then people who are in training for the workforce are ultimately being trained poorly. This store does have remarkable potential. It's a newer, cleaner and better organized location. The cash register layout is a vast improvement. However, crowd management matters and the basics of correctly labeling clothing are important issues to address. Will I be back? Most likely, but I may have to take a valium first. read more

What is so grand about this grand opening on Tues. Sept. 12, 2017? 1. Surprised to see 4 men standing early at the front of the line. 2. Great oldies music playing. 3. Items packed and organized on the shelves. 4. Supposedly the best of the items they could find. 5. Smelled like a new, clean restroom. I wished they had a financial special more than their typical discounted color of the week. Their checkout arrangement changed to the rope directed line for the better. The guy that works at the donation door has zero people skills....He seems constantly pissed off.

Much to my dismay, stumbled into this goodwill and was transported back to every other time I've shopped there. The. Same. Damn. Woman. With THREE carts this time, standing next to where the new items come out. (Oddly enough the staff STILL will not bring new carts out until she verbally tells them she is ready.) She's gotten worse if possible. On this visit I saw her physically shove two other women, take items from another woman's cart, take items she didn't want, but saw someone else have an interest in, only to hold and place back after the customer left. I once again left empty handed, but asked a friendly employee if she(the customer) still was there 7 days a week. The reply was "open to close". SUCH a shame to have such a nice, clean goodwill in a nice area, with a mostly (not the management that caters to her, sorry guys) nice staff that essentially is this woman's playground where she gets away with things any other store would immediately put a stop to. This is YEARS of behavior. Shame. Oh well - I'll head to 96th street or Keystone Ave (Indy, not Carmel) instead. Irony at goodwill! Worst store in 2 counties, in the nicest spot in 2 counties. I am confidently saying that this was the cleanest most organized Goodwill I have ever been to! It is a new building so that could be a factor but the selection of items varied & they clothes section was large + organized. Definitely a Goodwill you need to visit! read more

Really like this store's layout. It has one long checkout counter with several registers, similar to Marshall's. Hope other Goodwills adopt this idea. I almost always find something worth purchasing at this location. When I shop Goodwill, I only look at women's clothes and purses, so can't say much about other items. However, they look at least as well-stocked as the other Goodwills I have been to. read more

Whether it's an ugly Christmas sweater, camping utensils, or new workout gear, this Goodwill has it. The staff are always nice and if you are donating, they are helpful at getting your stuff out of the car. It is a vicious circle isn't it! read more

I shopped at this well rated store only to be very disappointed. I purchased several toys but the cashier refused to allow me to purchase one of the toys that was priced as marked. The ticket was supposedly the wrong one. I was shocked she didn't honor the price that was marked especially since there was only a $1 difference! It certainly wasn't worth any more than what was ticketed and I found it extremely offensive to mislead customers. read more
