When family and friends give you Goodwill Gift cards, you just know it's good. This is my neighborhood Goodwill. My face is recognized and it's really fun to check in with the employees week to week. I'm not going to tell you I find treasures here. Nope, won't do it. Go somewhere else. Stay away! Nothing to see here. Back away slowly. But, I find some good stuff here and there. It's not like everything I wear on a daily basis is from Goodwill or anything. I'm a middle school Teacher. Kids recognize clothes. "Are you wearing Lulu Lemon pants" "You paid how much for your shoes!!?" "Your sweater is NOT from Goodwill, is it? Oh sweet child, you have no idea. People of Indy need to know how good we have it here. The Goodwill in Wisconsin are full price stores that sell liquidated goods. It's just not the same. You are greeted here, feel comfortable here, and only occasionally have to fight off some some aggressive resellers searching for scores. Seriously, they will put whole racks of clothes in their cart just to walk away and search through it to prevent anyone from finding something first. Ugh. Pro-tip: When you find these people, go near them and act super surprised and excited about finding something. Say you can't believe. Really sell it. Then put it back and say, "if only I had the time to resell it, darn. Crazy!" Walk away and watch and they take it away and waste their time trying to look it up. It's the little things in life. This Goodwill is pretty good in women's clothing. They have a great kitchen section, too. Some really great furniture finds. Men's shoes are pretty solid. Check it out! read more

There's one worker there that works on the floor that is flat out rude to customers. If she hates people so much then maybe she should work in the back away from the customers. She complains about the customer within earshot and she refuses to let customers look at the new racks. She has been rude to me multiple times and I've witnessed her being rude to other customers as well. read more

I always have a pretty good experience in this particular Goodwill. All the folks that work in this particular Goodwill are really good at their job and they are friendly. If they are short-handed and the line gets too long at the registers they always call somebody up to help. They have a really good selection of clothes. It seems I always find something I like. read more

I stopped by to get some warm gear to wear while waiting for the Monumental Marathon races to start. It was supposed to be 28 degrees at the start, so the heavy, hooded fleece I bought for $5.99 was perfect! I do this for every cold weather race, and it works out so well! The race organizers then gather up all the clothes people toss along the course, launder them and donate the back. It's kind of like clothing rental. This was only my second visit to this location, and I had no problem finding what I needed and checkout was efficient. I liked their one line system since I have a talent for always selecting the slowest line if there are multiple lines. Parking in the lot out front is plentiful and easy in and out off of Keystone. read more

This goodwill store is usually pretty stocked up with items compared to others in the city. I never really leave without buying something here. They put out pretty good stuff. I enjoy coming here. It's always clean and plenty of employees walking around if you would need help, although they are pretty organized. Parking is right out front. This location is near target and a gym, and is very close to broad ripple. read more

I'm a Bargain shopper and am not Afraid to admit it, so goodwills are always something that I'm into checking out. This one off of keystone has become my go to, and if you goodwill you know its all about location location location. I'll chalk this up to it being near butler and broadripple so I always find something fun. Decent book selection for 99 cents for paper back. The clothes I usually find are for work and I'm in a business casual setting. The store is very clean and organized which I think is so important. It's sectioned off by gender and clothing type and you rarely find anything on the ground. Staff is friendly and which to get you checked out which is appreciated. I consider this my go to store that I'll keep coming back to find those good will bargains and unique items that always have people asking questions read more

Everyone who knows me knows I'm a thrifting queen. I've frequented Goodwill for years and love the upgrades that have come in the past few years. This location is spacious and bright, offering up a deal for everyone who enters. I love that they get Target clearance to resell. Be sure to get your Goodwill Rewards card for 20% off each Friday and additional savings throughout the year. I found a modern sofa marked at $45 and after my 'Goodwill Rewards' discount, got it for less than $40! Be aware that you must pick up your large ticket items by the end of the day or they may be resold. As of late, their tagging system has changed and there are now prices on everything, which seem to be higher than usual. Nonetheless, they are still cheaper than buying retail and huge deals can be found on 1/2 price Saturdays, the first Saturday of every month. Sundays you can find select items for .99 cents. This is your everyday Goodwill Store: It's relatively organized, clothes are separated by gender and color, and there's a wide variety of knick-knacks and things that you didn't know you needed. I like this Goodwill because it's across the street from a Target, so I can get everything done in one shot. (Target run ... check. Goodwill run ... check.) The people who work here are friendly but never approach you to ask if you need help, so if you like people all up in your business asking you questions, you won't get that here. I love the way they do their line. Its one general line and you go to the next available cashier. I think all Goodwill's should have their lines like this to save on time for the customer. I was a regular client at my store especially on senior day and enjoyed 1/2 off the color of the week. I was told that as a reward member I would be receiving discounts in the mail in lieu of the past way discounts were manage. After 6 months i have nit received any discounts in the mail. Have you ever returned to a place that you'd completely sworn off? The 62nd & Keystone Avenue location of Goodwill's thrift stores had made my list of places that had lost my business forever. I was serious. I'd had HORRID experiences there ranging from lazy employees to poor management to decidedly non-disability friendly business practices and interiors. While I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of Goodwill, I have always supported their mission but found this particular location to be abysmal. After my last visit in February 2015, I successfully avoided this location and focused my Goodwill shopping on the Pendleton Pike location and occasionally others. After my rather scathing 1-star review in February, I was contacted by Goodwill about my experiences. To be honest, I was impressed with their fair and honest response to my concerns. Though, to be equally honest, my feelings were so strong that my willingness to revisit this location was still non-existent. I felt heard, and that was great, but I had better experiences elsewhere and those other locations are close enough to my home that I didn't mind the extra five minutes to get better service. Yesterday, I was really needing to purchase a couple of things and it was getting late. After initially resisting, to the point of actually driving by it once, I pulled into the 62nd & Keystone Goodwill and broke my vow of "never again." I wheeled into the store and was greeted, actually greeted, in a friendly manner by an employee who was clearly in some kind of supervisory role. I immediately wondered "Does he know I'm the one who complained?" After all, there's likely not a ton of customers in wheelchairs who come in (though I have seen others). While I will admit that I was visiting about 90 minutes before closing, rather than my usual afternoon visit, the atmosphere was almost eerily different. Oh sure, it was busy and still chaotic, but employees were calm and helpful, supervisory people were obvious and active, and lines were moving in a fairly steady manner. It was toward the end of their 50% off day and, yeah, the shelves were a bit disheveled and sizes weren't quite in their labeled order. However, I saw employees actively working on it and, even more delightfully, I saw employees enthusiastically helping customers with even the quirkiest of requests. I saw employees respecting supervisors and supervisors communicating with and supporting their employees. I saw everyone actively engaged and employees actively seeking out work - There was a point where a line started to form and an employee to the supervisor "Do you want me to open up?" WOW. I happened to go to a register on my way out where one of the supervisors was working...a price had come up wrong and it was immediately caught and fixed. Again, I was impressed. I saw a young man with an intellectual disability working amongst all the employees. You could tell that he commanded a little more supervisory attention than most of the others, but the supervisor was calm, guiding and helpful. This, in turn, models for him appropriate workplace demeanor and problem-solving. Bravo. There's part of me that wonders if this is just a matter of having come in on a different shift, but my gut feeling says "Nope, something has changed here." From my entering the store through my shopping and all the way to check-out, this Goodwill shopping experience was vastly different and significantly improved from anything I'd ever experienced at this location. Was it a 5-star experience? Nope. In fact, they lost another star when I had to wait almost 30 minutes for someone who'd parked in the blue-striped lines (In a Hummer, of course - it's a stereotype but an accurate one) and were so close that I didn't have room to get in my car from the wheelchair. In fact, both blue-striped spots had cars in them. They need to make sure the accessible spots are clearly marked and the blue-striped spots should likely be clearly framed out and labeled as "No Parking." After all, it is illegal in Indiana and if I'd been a jerk I'd have called and gotten the customer a $150 ticket. While I'd contemplated going all the way up to a 4-star, this major faux pas is easily avoidable and not particularly expensive. However, I am pleased that after this experience Goodwill at 62nd & Keystone is being removed from my "never again" list and my gratitude goes out to those who've worked to improve this store's atmosphere, service and overall experience. read more

I can easily say (with complete confidence) that 60-70% of my wardrobe has been collected from one goodwill or another around the country (yes, yes I scope them out when traveling. Just imagine the summer dress selection in Florida. I tell you what.). Given my loyalty as both a donor and shopper, I have to say this particular location doesn't do it for me. I have a Goodwill problem. There, I said it. I admit it......And this place fuels. my. addiction. I have been to nearly every single GW in the greater Indianapolis area and this is by far my fave. It is easily the largest in the city and the employees all say hi to me. Yes, kind of like the Cheers of resale shopping. This location boasts an extensive glassware isle, an expansive large item area, tons of children's toys, and racks and racks of clothes. Something for everybody, no matter what you collect/covet/need/want/adore. I am reluctantly writing this review because I fear this place becoming too popular and everyone snatching up all my ridiculous finds. However, it's far too good to keep it to myself . Came here to donate an old desk I ended up moving with me from California. They have a covered loading dock where you drop off donations. It was easily accessible and fit my 11ft Uhaul Truck. Staff was friendly and helped me unload this 100 lbs. steel and wood constructed desk. I did go into the store to see if I could buy a "new" desk. They did have some furniture, but the selection was minimal. The do have quite a lot of clothes for anyone in any size to shop for. I would definitely come here again to donate old belongings or shop for some clothes. Overall, staff is friendly, selection of clothing is huge, and the store floor itself is organized and well maintained. read more

Have shopped here for years. After I politely asked the staff a couple questions about items for sale, i was surprised at how rude and dismissive they were (including the manager). They acted really annoyed that I had interrupted their conversation, despite my saying "sorry to interrupt". I've worked similar jobs to theirs, and understand the apathy, but the least you can do is show a little courtesy to the nice customers. read more

Always on pursuit of the next best deal, and this is the place to go. This goodwill regularly has a nice, clean, and organized selection of goods. They do a colored tag special everyday, where items are 50% off, and the first Saturday of the month the entire store is 50% off as well. I've been successful finding new/ barely used dresses, jeans, furniture, and house decor. Compared to other locations, this one appears to replenish and refresh their stock regularly, which I think is huge for a resale! read more

Great to see three able bodied men working the drop off playing on their phones or standing around and talking while people are unloading their cars. Lady in front of me had a full car and unloaded the whole thing. Did not see one of the men offer to help. Had to drop off a book self; no asking to help. Line of cars five deep. Perhaps the most bittersweet and ironic experience ever. I should mention: I've never been into this particular store, but had an experience while making a donation worth at least mentioning. It was Christmas Eve day (seriously) and I had an agenda of errands. One included a donation drop-off at Goodwill. I called at around 1:30 PM to inquire if they were even open; the lady answering the phone said they were open till 2:00, and that I could come before then. I hurried up Keystone Avenue to make it on time, arriving at 1:53 PM. I pulled around to the drive-up to find two other cars waiting. One lady was talking to someone through the door. Long story short -- the person on the other end was nothing short of a prick. Acting like a child, blaming the supervisor, etc -- he refused to open the door and accept more donations, even though I told him that a) I called and was told I could arrive before 2:00 and b) that I would help him take everything inside. He again refused, and, after refusing to go get the supervisor, disappeared into the store. I should mention one of these other cars was a fully loaded minivan of ready donations. This person walked away from three cars full of ready-to-donate items. I was APPALLED! While I completely understanding wanting to go home on Christmas Eve, this was 2:00 PM, not 6. Oh yeah, and it's GOODWILL!!! Seriously, with that attitude, go be a hipster at the Apple Store! I was so angry I just left my stuff (2 small bags). Then I decided to call the supervisor. It was the same lady who had answered the phone before, telling me I could arrive before 2:00. I explained the entire situation; she asked me to describe the employee. She thanked me, said she'd take care of my stuff and that particular employee. I've been a fan of Goodwill for years. I'm not holding this piece of s**t employee against them, and this manager wins back the second star and my intention to revisit in the future. read more

I've gone to a lot of thrift stores around the city. This Goodwill tends to be the most expensive of any of them, even compared to other Goodwill stores. An acquaintance used to work at one and informed me that the prices are set by whoever happens to be pricing items that day...essentially on a whim...which goes a long way to explain the prices at this particular store. When I lived in Broad Ripple I donated here 3x and never had a problem, but I tended to get there in the middle of the day. The employees weren't as friendly as at some of the other stores...indifferent would describe the attitude. BUT it's still generally cheaper than shopping at the other non-thrift stores in the area...especially if you need something like 4 pairs of khaki pants or a bunch of polo shirts for a dress code at your new job. It's convenient for this too because you can start here, then move to Target, Macy's, or some of the other nearby stores if you can't find what you're looking for. This store tends to have a good selection of gently used scrubs, if you're a new CNA, nursing student, or vet tech and need to stock up on a budget. Double check your receipt before you leave. I've purchased things there which had 2 parts and gotten charged for 2 items instead of 1. Goodwill gets a lot of salvaged or clearanced items from Target. The Goodwill prices will nearly (99.9%) ALWAYS be higher than the clearance price at Target. FYI. read more

I wish my Goodwill experience was better than it was. I shopped here mid-afternoon on a Saturday (not on the first Saturday of the month... if I were to do that I would get there EARLY for that 50% off). The store's organization was no where near top-notch, but it wasn't the worst it could be. Clothing items are organized by size which is helpful, but you find your occasional XXL t-shirts in with the S tanks. I was in the store for about a half hour and was almost convinced I wouldn't find anything. You can't be impatient in a Goodwill, especially not this one. While the store is pretty big and there are tons and tons of racks, the store didn't seem greatly stocked. The pricing is a little strange. I ended up getting a pair of dress shoes for $1.99, but the tank top I got was $3.99?? I got a normal shirt for $4.49 and a really nice sweater for the same exact price? I was most upset with my checkout experience. The cashier was pretty impatient with me as I struggled to understand when to take my card out of the chip reader (their machine is finicky and was sending me mixed messages!). He gave off this attitude that screamed "I really wish I wasn't working here right now" and that is just isn't what I would like to experience when I'm shopping, but maybe that's just me... So my time at Goodwill was productive, but I'm hoping to find a better one in the area to find my next secondhand treasure(s)! read more

One of them being a manager, I wouldn't condone that behavior from a manager or encourage the employees to feel like this. The store is open until 7 pm. I should be able to shop until close. A pretty average Goodwill store. Be prepared to spend some time here digging through the junk to find some treasures. The thrill of the hunt is what I enjoy about this location! I know that I'm going to spend some time digging through racks of clothing to find a few unique vintage items that I get really excited about. It does crack me up that they don't bother to take old yard sale stickers off the clothing so you can feel really good spending $3.99 on a shirt that has a 25 cent yard sale sticker on it. The home goods section is decent for dishes and basic cookware. They usually have several sets of plates and glasses relatively cheap, and have an entire shelf dedicated to wine glasses. The home goods section is also amusing to search through, as they seem to put literally everything out that gets donated there, including things like empty gelato containers. The toy section is small and limited in selection. I used to score children's toys and games here for cheap when I was working as a child psychotherapist. Overall, it is a decent Goodwill that is worth checking out if you live in the neighborhood, but not worth driving out of your way for if you have another Goodwill closer. read more

A nice little thrift store located on Keystone and 62nd street. I have come here numerous times just to wander around and have found some serious gems - a brand new, full size Bodum french press for $1.99 (still had the literature inside the box!), a set of Nespresso latte and espresso cups for $3.99, still in the box?? The clothing seems to be about the same as any other thrift store, lots of dishes, cups and all of that other good stuff. Also, their donation area is great - a covered area where you can drive in and have somebody helpful and kind come to unload your stuff, and maybe even tell you a story while they're picking up your unwanted items from your car! read more

Dropped off a ton of donations and the guy who took them was so rude. He threw my stuff into a big bin with unnecessary force, probably breaking a few things. For example, I donated a three-drawer plastic organizer. When he threw it into the bin, the bottom drawer fell out and, rather than fixing it, he just banged on it a few times and stuffed the drawer to the bottom (I ended up fixing it before I left). I then handed him a bag and he shoved that in too and walked back into the store. I had three more things in my car, but he was apparently done so I put them in the bin myself. No "thank you." Didn't ask if I wanted a receipt. Just threw my stuff around and walked away. I didn't really want to donate to Goodwill anyway because I've heard some bad things, but after that treatment I really don't want to give them my business. read more

Mr. Bob is the best Goodwill manager I have ever seen in all my years shopping at various stores around the city. And this clearly affects his employees as every time I am in this store I am always impressed with the kindness of the employees. The store is always clean and well organized and the prices always fair. I can't say enough good things about this establishment. My wife and I are Goodwill fanatics. In fact, on the first Saturday of each month we visit 13 Goodwills and completely fill our car full of treasures. But Mr. Bob's store is always head and shoulders above the rest. Recently my wife inadvertently dropped a check in the store and the next day Mr. Bob called her and told her. He took the time to look her up in the system and see that she was a rewards customer. I am always a Goodwill fan, well, thrift stores in general. This particular branch is pretty good. They have a ton of household items or as I like to call it "the junk department". Lots of women's clothes and more men's clothes than most other Goodwill's. I have noticed that the prices have gone up, $6.99 for jeans and everything else is $4.29?! Then the junk prices are all over the place. I was interested in a duvet cover that was from Target with the clearance Target price, $30 and the Goodwill price $50. Definitely getting harder to find items with the 50% of color. When that weeks color is red everything you want will be yellow. read more

Pretty convenient location, it's really easy to drop off your stuff and go. But I don't know if you know this or not but this is a for-profit company, meaning they're not going to giving back like it seems the CEO is collecting all the money at the very top. I recently move from out of state and practically kitted my entire apartment out from this Goodwill. I was super lucky in that they had lots of donations that same day, so there was lots of choice in large furniture items. Because I bought a sofa, armchair, table/chair set etc I managed to get a discount too which really helped. The staff were super helpful and friendly. I'd definitely recommend this place. read more

This is my usual Goodwill I visit & while a lot of the employees can be brusque & have quite lackluster personalities, I frequently find some good stuff here. I generally don't shop for clothes, except for baby clothes, so I can't say how those are here, but on occasion I'll find a real treasure. It seems though that Goodwill's prices have gone up a lot lately, but maybe that's to help fund their charter school, Indianapolis Metropolitan, which is a great high school. (Both my teenagers attend it.) All in all, a fun place to shop, especially when getting your car serviced at the Midas next door. read more

Manager at goodwill on Keystone in Broadripple purposely keeps his cashiers in the dark when you are eligable for a discount! Never fails that any employees at this store know about the discount if u use your rewards card and spend $20! They will lie and say it has to be $25 or know nothing at all about it. Was checking out tonight and simply asked about discount at 20.31. Was willing to buy 99cent item but new assistant manger ran to the register and said I had to spend 25 to get it. I knew he was wrong and I said so, so he refused me service. He is 20 something and black and Asian mixed. I don't! care if he is purple or magenta but he needs to find another job! Yelled and screamed at me all the way out the store. I can do without out their precious throwaways but i have the right to ask a question. This is same store that I was threatened to have the police called on me for asking for my birthday discount! Same mgr that keeps info from cashiers about discounts. Also same store that cashier informed me that individual magrs have the right to hold on the round up to the next dollar amounts. I don't recommend the pickup service. I scheduled a pickup appointment date, took the day off, and waited all day. No one ever showed up. I called Anthony several times trying to get an idea of when someone would be out. He said he could not give me any estimate of when someone would be there. I called again around 2:30pm and he said they had already been to my place and no one was home!!?? I confirmed the address. He said they even called and no one answered but I had no missed calls??! He said they were now out of the area. I asked to speak with the driver but not suprisingly, he never called. read more
