That said, pricing can be a bit hit or complete miss. Sometimes items still have their original retail tags and are priced the same--or even higher--which can be surprising for a thrift store. I've also noticed some pieces labeled as higher-end brands that were not authentic (higher end fitness clothing), so it's worth double-checking if you're familiar with those brands. Photo I attached is something that was 3.99 at GoodWill that they were selling for 20.99. They must have completed missed removing goodwill's tag. Overall, it's still a fun place to treasure hunt, just shop thoughtfully and you may score something great.

These weren't worn-out items. Many pieces were either unworn or in excellent condition. They called us back and said they decided not to take anything due to the "condition." Three full bags. All rejected. It was honestly a huge waste of time -- especially when you take the effort to carefully select higher-end, on-trend brands. Out of curiosity, we brought the exact same bags to Plato's Closet beforehand. They offered us over $200 for everything. So clearly, the "condition" wasn't the issue. Safe to say we'll be taking our business to Plato's Closet from now on. If you value your time and have quality brands, you might want to consider doing the same. The lady employees at Haltom Thrift were so RUDE and HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL THAT I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN. The Bur Oaks Investments group that owns this thrift store needs to know this as well. My wife usually comes up here looking for more regularly findable items like jeans, pants, etc. There has always seemed to be various suit jackets and such in the guys section. As with thrifting there is a chance you may not find something every time ... but in the case of the suit items you can get something on the slightly larger size & have it taken in and it still be cheeper than getting it new. They mainly have clothes but there is a shelf of books/movies to the back left corner as you walk in. Staff is nice as well. For sure worth taking a look at.
