Figured the eucalyptus would be fine semi seasoned since this wood is so flammable. They delivered in the rain per my request! Wood still came pretty dry and they were able to back up my steeper driveway and have their dump truck dump at the top. Wood has been great quality and burns hotttt and pretty long in the wood stove. The front office was very accommodating and nice. They included some wood to go since we had mentioned we were completely out. Was a good idea anyway to try it out and see if we liked the wood. Also gave us a couple of freebie fire starters which is paraffin wax and cedar shavings. Those start a fire quickly but was $1.25 each. Even cutting them in quarters I don't think it's worth the price over fat wood or other starters such as that. Either way-- highly recommend checking it out for firewood. They also sell Christmas trees here and looked to be of high quality and not any more than Home Depot or other places with cut trees in town.

I ordered a cord of dry mixed hardwood, delivered to Santa Clara, dumped not stacked. Paid $450…read more They delivered about 2/3 cord of what looks like decent firewood, some cut long but most at the standard 16". The remaining 1/3 cord was small cuts, wedges and odd shapes. These were impossible to stack properly, so I piled them up at the near end of the stack and got it all under a tarp before the rain. Looks like a fair measure, even generous, but it's hard to say with so many odds and ends. I've been burning this wood the last 2 weeks. I'm disappointed to say that a lot of it is just downright wet. I tried a bunch of logs with my moisture meter and found that most of them were over 30% moisture. I was really clear in my communications that I wanted dry wood. So, 2 stars for fair measure, fast and very friendly delivery. Knocked off a star for so much un-stackable ends (maybe that's what he meant by "mixed", I assumed it meant a mix of different woods) and two stars because so much of the wood is so wet.
