    13.5' x 16' of Turf. 16' x '26' of 4" gravel compacted to 90% for the above ground pool.
    Steven H.

I'm new to the area and tried my luck with brand X, who did mediocre to crappy work. My neighbor called New Leaf and told me that they showed up on time, were responsive via text and phone calls, and had great design ideas. He's a tough customer, so I called New Leaf. My delusions of grandeur led to a $30K quote, which was a very fair price. Well, they worked with me and I was able to get what I needed, about 50% of the work, for less than half of the quote. I know what you're thinking, because I thought it too. They are going to cut corners. They didn't. The turf was expertly installed; they graded, installed a drain, compacted, weedstop, turf, bender board, secured, and filled/brushed. They must do a ton of work, as they moved efficiently through the process with perfect results. Not only did they do everything they said, on schedule, they did little things I never asked for. They pulled all the weeds in my backyard, they swept my walkway and patio (they didn't work near the patio!). Bottom line is these guys are good. They won't hesitate to give you everything you want for a fair deal, and will work with whatever budget you have. I will having them do the rest of the work in a few months!

Belgard Catalina Grana pavers in Victorian color, with Belair retaining wall

The New Leaf team did an amazing job on our yard! From the initial quote when Javier took the time to discuss what we wanted, what our options were and how we could fit it into our budget, we were impressed. That willingness to help us design something we would love that would fit within our budget really made him stand out from others that we received quotes from. That thoroughness continued throughout and it shows in the finished project. The crew did a great job and I was really impressed with how much care they put into the details. Not all of the work that goes into a project is visible but I was really happy to see that they took the extra time to make things just right: things like extending the drains and making sure slopes are appropriate, and adding piping for A/C condenser runoff, running irrigation lines for future, and more are things that aren't aesthetic and you might not notice but goes a long way to improve functionality. They were tidy in their work and took care of our property and left it clean after each days work. We extended our driveway, added concrete walkways, as well as pavers, a retaining wall, and turf in our backyard. We are very happy with the job that the New Leaf team did and we recommended them to anyone looking for landscaping.

New Leaf Landscapes is a great company whose ethics in construction, quality and customer service are by far superior than what I have been familiar with in the past. Javier and his team did an amazing job landscaping my dirt backyard into a beautiful space that I can relax and spend time with family in. I highly recommend Javier and his team for quality, dedication and superior customer service. Javier truly understands the benefits of hearing the needs of the customer and making their needs come to reality. Thank you, Javier (and team) for helping to make my vision come to reality.

Thanks Javier and Davy. You have transformed our garden into the magical space we always wanted using an amazing design from Charlene Brum (brumlandscapedesign.com). We have everything - landscaping, irrigation, lights, water feature and planter boxes. The crew are amazing. Always left the place near and tidy every night and paid attention to every single little detail. Thank you New Leaf Landscape and thank you Charlene Brum

    Border around the pavers

Javier with New Leaf Landscapes and his team did an amazing and beautiful job with a new patio with pavers in my backyard. They were professional and reasonably priced. I highly recommend New Leaf Landscapes.

Great job done. Very professional. Was always keeping us up to date on what they were working on. Recommended.

Javier and his team did a fantastic job landscaping our backyard! Our initial free consultation was socially distanced with maks and he took the time to fully understand our design and offer his experience where needed. Work started right on time and finished on time, with clear communication from Javier all the way through. We plan to have him back in the Spring to plant our plant list as well as some other things. I WOULD DEFINITELY HIRE JAVIER AND HIS TEAM TO FILL ANY FUTURE LANDSCAPING NEEDS!

Javier and his team did a fantastic job on our backyard. Very quick and efficient, the work was complete in a much shorter time than we'd expected. Great communication throughout and very transparent about the pricing. They will answer all your questions, and make sure you are happy with the work. Would definitely recommend!!

    a backyard with artificial grass

Javier is excellent we worked with him and his design specialist to plan and implement our backyard project. We bought a new home which had only dirt and rocks in the backyard. They helped us design and implement a perfect backyard environment that my entire family could enjoy. Everything looks excellent and they where able to accomplish it very quickly. We did artificial grass, plants, walkways, and a pad for a hot tub. He did an excellent job connecting it up to our existing play area that I put in and even fixed it to level it with the grass. Overall experience was very professional, reasonable in cost, and completed quickly. Would highly recommend for any landscaping work!

Never called back. Same when you call direct and their turf number. If you can't answer or call people back you don't deserve my business.

He is very cost-effective and conscientious about keeping costs under control without ever compromising quality or integrity. RJF brings an old-school mentality in the best sense--smart, hardworking, and detail-oriented, making sure every "T" is crossed and every "I" is dotted. The crew was well managed, professional, and demonstrated strong work ethics with consistent attention to quality. Robert has deep knowledge of all facets of concrete finishes and applications, passed down through this second-generation family business. Trust, ethics, and standards are extremely high, and he made sure the finished product was nothing short of perfect. The job was well planned and executed, even under difficult weather conditions. In summary, I would confidently recommend RJF Concrete Construction for all concrete, masonry, and architectural finish work--both new pours and remodels. This is a contractor you can fully trust from start to finish. Thank you, Robert, and thank you to your entire crew.

The drainage slope of the pad was important to me due to potential flooding issues and past history of this area of the property, so I had specific instructions and desires about how I wanted the water to run off half the pad in a certain direction and the other half of the pad in a somewhat more complicated manner so it would end up in my driveway drain. This water management would avoid potential flooding of the garage. The torrential rains have arrived, and the performance of the runoff is absolutely perfect and channeling off exactly as intended. I couldn't be happier. The concrete is still crack free and the lift is installed and functioning well; also very happy events. Thank you RJF for your professionalism; this is a great addition.

They ruined and broke numerous branches while admitting that these plants are very delicate. They rushed the job that should have been at least two hours and finished in one hour. I should have stopped them after the owner told me to go inside and they will let me know when they were done. You never tell someone that's paying you $500 dollars to take your time and do a professional job to go inside. I should have told him to get the F off of my property and hired someone else. I would have been better off hiring men from Home Depot. Totally unprofessional, rushed the job, ruined a couple of plants and didn't give a shit how it looked, even after I showed the owner the damaged plants and all the broken branches only to find more as the branches dried out in the weeks to come. He tells me the plants are delicate, but yet they didn't treat them that way. I will never hire this unprofessional company again and recommend that you don't hire them either. They have plenty of help to do a good job, but refuse to do so. This was a total rip off job to the tune of $500. I'm so sorry I hired this clown to do this job, every time I look at what they did it makes me sick and pissed that I didn't throw them off my property and paid them nothing. I've waited weeks to write this review, in hopes that the job would look better, but it doesn't. Thanks a lot, KAY GREEN LANDSCAPING FOR DOING A SHITTY JOB AND TELLING ME TO GO INSIDE. We ran into a few unexpected issues during the project, but Young was always upfront about what was happening and communicated his solutions clearly. His recommendations were thoughtful and turned out great. I would definitely use Kay Green again for any future landscaping projects and will happily recommend them to family and friends!

Foundation Repair of CA (FRC) is the most disreputable, dishonest company I've ever encountered. I…read morehired them because I didn't want to hire the lowest bidder for a change, and I regret it. I wouldn't sign the contract when told I'd have to do my own masonry repair until sales agent Jesse Marquez showed me FRC corporate material that indicated the brick facade would be removed with a masonry saw, in an approximate 2x2' square. That was false and deceptive advertising. This is what they did to my house. No masonry saw was used, only impact drills, which act as small jackhammers. FRC significantly damaged the entire brick facade, adjacent areas showed extensive cracking, entire areas had the brick facade knocked completely off the house, and the wall foundation was separated from the brick wall entirely. I told the work crew, headed by Luis, to stop using impact wrenches on the bricks immediately, then told them TWICE. Not only did they not stop, despite direct STOP work orders, they then took all of the bricks they'd destroyed, which legally is theft, called conveyance. Jesse Marquez explained that the bricks were so old they'd shattered. Luis returned the bricks after Jesse Marquez called, ignoring my several phone calls and texts. Jesse texted that the bricks were so old they'd shattered. Luis returned them, none were shattered, all were broken by the impact drills. Luis confirmed, texting that the bricks were "broken". They took the bricks to hide the damage. The day FRC received my Contractor's State Licensing Board complaint, FRC messaged that someone would come to assess the damage for repairs, and FRC would repair the masonry they'd destroyed. They first sent Robert Pagan, who acknowledged both that there were no masonry saw marks, and that the damage was excessive. According to FRC, Jesse stated Robert hadn't said this. It wasn't until I pointed out he'd said it while standing in front of a Ring camera did that lie die. FRC then sent Troy Knight, who acknowledged the same, and stated he was there to help, and would see that the masonry was repaired and more. I have several texts, voicemails and emails from FRC stating they will complete the job. They never did. FRC employee Mike Crites was sent to perform the repairs. He returned the following week with the wrong sized bricks in the wrong color, and proceeded to do more damage. This is the work that they did. FRC employee Mike Crites initially stated that he had retired as a mason, he later revised that statement, saying he'd only worked with pavers and concrete. The work performed was so substandard, FRC sent Jovincio, who was the only honest person in my entire dealings with FRC. Jovencio said he wasn't a mason, but had "some training". Jovencio replaced the work done by Mike Crites. This is Mike's effort, and Jovincio's replacement work. The work performed is clearly substandard and unacceptable. FRC acknowledged the workers sent lacked the skills, training and necessary certifications to perform masonry repairs. When I requested that FRC send a mason, and included photos of the work, FRC responded that they'd done me a favor; the workers sent were a courtesy. The very clause they'd ignored (and invalidated) by removing the bricks was cited. That they would do no more, leaving me with the bill for their damage. This is what they left. I obtained a second quote to repair the deficient masonry 'work' FRC workers had done - without a REQUIRED permit, with no mortar pins, odd-sized and broken bricks mortared in randomly, mortar lines that range from non-existent to more than an inch. Crites' also removed the brick facade foundation in several sections, replacing it with sloppy concrete. This is a code-violating 'repair' that is neither plumb nor square. The legitimate mason company from whom I obtained a repair quote updated the quote, which has nearly doubled BECAUSE of the 'repairs' performed by the unqualified FRC employees. FRC called this doing me a favor, saying the inept crew was sent as a 'courtesy'. This is not doing me a favor, this is not a courtesy, this is at best fraud. After signing the contract (under false pretenses), Jesse insisted I needed an additional pier ($3,155) because piers can no longer be placed under a window. A pier was placed under the window. Two other piers were not placed according to the county approved structural engineering ($1,850) diagram. Half the piers were installed in the wrong places, apparently according to Luis' whims. Yesterday Groundworks gave an estimate on properly placing those piers. That's how I learned that the improperly placed piers had lifted a joist completely off its foundation supports. This, too, will require additional expense to correct, before it damages my house - literally to the roof. I should have stuck with Groundworks. This is your cautionary tale - no one who values integrity, ESPECIALLY senior women, shouldn't hire FRC.
