TLDR: FAIR PRICING AND EXCELLENT SERVICE Carlos is a champ. He'll modify your order and is always open to negotiation. The pandemic has put firewood delivery into overdrive and responsiveness is key. I tried several businesses before I stumbled across him. I asked for three different local quotes and never got a response. I ran into Carlos accidentally at Home Depot with a cart full of crappy firewood. He did not try to sell me anything on the spot or try to usurp my purchase. We conversed and he let me know he was in the business. He acknowledged my knowledge that I was overpaying for that level of convenience and gave me his contact info. I made an order the next week and he was on time and threw in an extra perk of some extra firewood for cooking (I like smoking meat). Delivered in my driveway and it was quality well seasoned almond wood. Worth every penny. This is a prime example of how to be a new business. We rent our home to a family with kids. One of our skylights needs to be repaired for a small leak. We called the company to let us know if they would show up despite weather report showing rain so we can notify the tenants. They have no consideration that we have tenants at the property. They can't tell you when they are going to show up until you call them that morning after 8am if they pick up the phone. Most established companies will provide 2 to 3 hour window and will tell you either it is morning or afternoon. It appears that they do not have a scheduler and techs dictate schedule the morning. They think their business model works well for them. It suits their needs, not their customers. Their way or highway attitude. If you are someone who has a day job, organized or have a tenant like we do, you may want to consider your options before you give them a call. Their model is the same regardless it is rainy season or summer. Recommend trying others who are more organized in their business practices to consider their customers first.
