A great selection to choose from. The customer service is excellent. There's never a long wait. Store Clerks Taylor and LaPorsche, among others are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The environment is calm, inviting, organized, clean and comfortable. The prices are better the majority of other stores. The bottle club is good as well. read more

I am a bourbon drinker and I am always looking for good shops that have decent selections at reasonable prices. For months a good friend of mine was referring me to what he calls "Goodies". Thanks to Yelp, I found Goody Goody and may never go to another liquor store. The location on Highway 6 is easy to get to and on my way home from the office. This is bad news for my savings account! I walked in and went straight to their bourbon shelves. The first thing I noticed was that several of my favorites were $10-30 cheaper a bottle here. That's big. Then I spoke to the manager and named a couple hard to find bottles. He checked his system and located on their shelves on of these and I snapped it up quickly! I used Goody Goody for a large event that was held and I was designated as the one to procure the "spirits". I reached out to the Manager there, his name was Rebel and he made sure I had a smooth process. I sent him and email with the list of items that I needed to order and he confirmed which were available and which were not. He had my order pulled and ready when I came in to pay. The one hiccup that he handled excellently was our tax free designation. Our organization is tax free and originally he thought that our documentation did cover that, but after checking with his corporate office it was handled with no problem. This was a beautiful store and looks can be deceiving from the out side !!!!! This is a 5 star store for everyday picks ... The staff was amazing ... they asked if you needed any help right off and when I informed them I don't they proceeded to tell me please browse the entire store and if I change my mind we're here for you !!! I did just that and ended up buying something suggested because I didn't find an exclusive bottle that was on my list !!!! Actually I bought something only because I felt their efforts to help were so good they deserved my business!!! How have I never stepped foot in here? I think it was because I was always a SPECS gal and the parking lot was always a bit deserted. But people, do not let that detour you anymore!! This place is magnificent! I'm in love with it and it will be my new spot to pick up any wine or beverages! It's laid out really well, so it's easy to find what you are looking for, plus the staff is super friendly and helpful!! They pointed out some super good deals and we piled them up before heading to a party! They also have a membership you can join to earn points if you want (which I did). I moved to this area a few months ago. I admit I get most of my basic beverage at the grocery store, but I am close to this store for whenever I need something a little different or more fancy. Recently, I got a bottle of wine from them that was probably not originally corked correctly. I think air maybe got into the bottle at some stage. I brought it to their attention the next day and they handled the situation very simply and very well. I go here most of the time but recently I found myself at Specs and I couldn't believe how much they're charging for a bottle of vodka. I work for a competitor that I won't name & we 'allocate' a lot of stuff that this store has on the shelf everyday. Sure you might pay $5 more or so in order to find it here everyday but I'm perfectly fine with it. Also for all the craft beer drinkers they'll have some stuff in their cooler that has probably been gone in the inner city markets just aging to perfection. I like this place. The selection is impressive. The store is impeccably clean. And the staff is friendly. My ONLY gripe is that they don't have any locations in Southern Houston. I live in the Pearland area so I only visit when I'm at my office. They should consider a location Pearland. We don't have anything like that in our area. read more

This liquor store use to be the old Circuit City near West Oaks Mall. This is the second location in the Houston area. From the research I have done, this place started in Dallas and is similar to Specs. There were not many people here when I've been, and I've been twice. The store is pretty immaculate. It is way more organized and cleaner than any Specs I've been too. It has a high-end feel with wood floors and nice detailed decor touches. The selection of wine and liquor are pretty good, but the selection of craft beers is lacking significantly. The staff there are very helpful, and they even have a frequent rewards card. I would probably go there again, if I needed wine or liquor. But, I would definitely stick to Specs for the craft brews. read more

New location on Hwy 6 is stocked! You can find pretty much anything you need here. Very clean and new. There is a fine liquior section where the expensive stuff is kept and they have a wine guy that will give you recommendations. He won't automatically sell you the most expensive bottle either. What I'm about to write is from the perspective of a beer guy, so keep that in mind. This store has a great setup, and selection of wine and liquor. I came here because a friend recommended trying it over Specs because of pricing and selection. The exterior is kind of plain but the interior is very nice and inviting. Walking through many of the aisles I was surprised that most items were retail priced with the occasional mark down of a dollar or so. Maybe I came at the wrong time? Also, beer selection was lacking which we the reason I stopped by. Overall if you're looking for a good selection of wine and liquor I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. read more

I always drive pass this goody everyday but never stop by. I usually go to specs on highway 6. But today me and my girlfriend decided to give it a try. The store was empty. We walk pass 2 employees, none welcome us. We got what we wanted and when to check out. I left my wallet in my car. So my girlfriend was paying. Lady from the back came out as our cashier if he carded me. I walked over and told her he need to carded me even tho she's paying. She told me everyone in the store have to be carded. Never knew this. I have never been carded when in a liquor store accompanying someone. Well at least I know why this location is always empty. read more

Exactly what Houston needs -- competition for Spec's! This store is clean, fresh, nicely laid out, great signage, wide aisles, smaller grocery carts -- et cetera. The beverages are nicely laid out, with lots of mixer and non-alcohol choices (not too many soft drinks. Go to the grocery store for that). The parking lot is huge. It would be good to see some signage such as Spec's has as to whether this wine was a State Fair winner, how many points Wine Spectator gave it, such as that. Also, I would like to see maybe some reference books on a stand so one could look up a wine -- actually, maybe a computer console where one could get some handy information. I came here to get some Liquor for my Brother and Sister N Law that were coming into town. I was very impressed with this place. Of course it is brand new so it is nice and neat and well organized. They do have a great variety and huge selection. I would of given this place four stars, but I was a little disapointed that they didn't have aguardiente (Colombian Fire Water) Antioqueno style. They only had crystal which does not have a good taste to it. The guy that was helping me to find what I was looking for was telling me that he has all liquors from all around the world. This store is extensive. They have a reward system too. Just visit it. The only thing this store lacks is a more robust fine food section like the mother ship Specs store in midtown. My trips to Goody Goody have been pleasant throughout the past. Im usually acknowledged and ask it I need help locating anything. The floor staff and pretty much regulars and are great at helping with their specialty. The cashiers arent the friendliest, but they keep me moving. The prices are the part thst gets me. I feel like the prices are just a little too high. I keep wanting to do a price comparison beteween the competition, but never get around to it. I will say that the store looks great. WOW! What a nice liquor store! I've always gone to specs because its closer to my house on hwy 6. Lately when i go into specs the workers dont really come ask if you need help finding something and the last time i was there they had no gift sets at all. Goody Goody is a premier liquor store. Its HUGE! The employees are very friendly and they have great sales all the time. Im signed up in the Goody club so I can earn Goody points and last time i went there for tequila I got a bottle of Corzo and I automatically earned 7 dollars in Goody points.
