When one gets their car serviced, it is no like buying a car. No one likes to pay for service or a repair. Everyone likes to get that brand new vehicle. I live downtown Birmingham. Many of us know, when the weather changes, sometimes, our tires show they need to be inflated. As the owner, you don't know if you have an issue, or the weather was the cause. The car that this usually happens too is my wife's vehicle. It is my responsibility to get it looked at. I go to the Goodyear Auto Service downtown Birmingham. The manager has a tech check my tires and tell me which tire needed the most air. 5 minutes later, I am out. No cost. So why write a review? Because I will need new tires soon. Why would I ever consider any other tire place then Goodyear. They always treat me with respect even when they don't make a cent. Tell me one other place that happens to any of us consistently. I have checked the prices on new tires, and they are competitive as well. Bravo and think you for making sure my wife drive safely. read more

Came here for their new tire deal. They took really good care of me and answered all of my questions concerning their services and offers. The wait was not as long as id thought it'd be, actually shorter. When i went it was very quiet and slow so catch them in the morning on week days and you'll be good to go by noonish. read more

I had a screw in my tire and went here as it was close to work. They were unable to fix the tire because the screw was close to the side wall. I had this verified by the shops I normally use. They were able to get a matching tire to the OEM Goodyears at a decent price. read more

Nice people but went there to have a tire checked out that was going flat. They didn't take it off or anything and tried to charge me $150 for a new tire installation. I took it to a locally owned tire shop and to have the tire checked out and it just needed a patch for a small hole. read more

This auto shop is right by my workplace. They allow you to drop off your car before work and pick it up when you get off work, making it massively convenient for me. They are always friendly, prices seem reasonable, they didn't try to up sell me on anything, and they get the job done right every time I have gotten my oil changed there. read more

Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the counter guys seemed really cool. I got an oil change here first and got a couple of inspections done. Apparently, when they do oil changes, that's all they do. I've used Valvoline instant oil change for several years and they check and top off all your fluids. Guess that's not the case at Goodyear. After the brake inspection, in which they didn't even remove the tires for a thorough inspection, the shop recommended new pad and rotors. I made an appointment, dropped my truck off, and walked home. I had to walk back to help locate the special lug nut key so they could remove the tires. When I asked how they removed them during inspection, they lied and said they left the lug key in my cup holder. The lug key was locked in my truck took box and has been for several months. No apology or explanation for the manager as to why they lied to me. They finished the brakes, didn't check the brake fluid, and sent me on my way. Fast forward a couple of weeks.. I go to a different store to get new tires cause I'm not giving Goodyear anymore of my business, and I find out they broke a lug bolt off one of my wheels and said nothing to me. I call the store to confront them about it, and the counter rep says,"I've taken your info, and I'll have the store manager call you." He never even asked for my info. read more

Have a slow leak in my tire and drove past this place and pulled in at the chance they could fix it immediately, not expecting them to at all but whatever. Walked in and the dude (Adam) said no they couldn't get to it that day but to come back at the next available appointment which was 10:30 AM the next day. I said sounds great and then proceeded to give him my information. Adam cut me off and said no need, I'm going to remember you. I said I don't think that's how things are supposed to work and asked him a second time if he could just get my info. He said no need and rest assured that my appointment was at 10:30. The next day, I moved some things around at work and took an early lunch to drop off my car and planned to uber back. When I arrived, the dude working was not Adam and they had no idea who I was. I told them what happened and said "Sorry, it's not going to happen till at least 2:30 and that's if we get to it". Turns out Adam was the store manager and also a liar. Will not go there or advise anyone to go to this place . If I could put negative amount of stars, I would. -1000/10 read more

I came to this location because it was near my home. I pulled up at 9:59 a.m. and they had two cars in front of me. I did not have my car back until 5:07 p.m. There was a lot of dead time when no one was even working on a car in front of me. When I would inquire about the delay, they had no answer. Second time attempting to get a tire done here, and being turned down. While I was waiting, I heard the Service Writer turn down at least 3 repairs on the phone because they were closing in an hour and he "couldn't squeeze them in. And the place was empty! So I went to TE down the street who was ALSO closing in an hour, and they were packed, but still took me in, and got my tire repaired! This is the last time I attempt to go to Goodyear... I realize Goodyear is a good company overall, but this location is a bad representation of all of the other goodyears. I discovered a nail in one of my tires and I called them as I was on my way to them (as soon as I got out of work at 5 pm). Thinking I was helping them out by giving them a heads up that I was on my way, they instead refused to see my tire and said to bring it in the morning since they close at 6:00....I said I know but it's only 5:00 and I didn't want to risk a flat tire, and the representative still said to not come by the shop. I proceeded to another tire company thankfully nearby (that closes at 5) who gladly fixed my tire in less than 15 minutes. All in all, if you're looking for good customer service and willing/helpful employees, don't come to this Goodyear. read more
