DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! I had an extremely frustrating experience with this NTB location. I originally came in just to have four new tires installed. I did not plan on replacing my shocks and struts, but the manager strongly pushed me into doing it while my car was there. I trusted their recommendation, which turned out to be a mistake. My vehicle ended up being kept at the shop for three days because they stripped a bolt during the repair and had to order a replacement part. After multiple attempts to pick my car up, I show up to the store and wait in the lobby for 10 minutes before I walk out to the back and ask if someone can help me. Meanwhile, there's 4 guys sitting around doing nothing. The manger finally comes out and informs me my power steering was messed up, something that had never been an issue before bringing it in. The manager stated he did not have the tools to fix the power steering. Because my car was not safe to drive, I had to have it towed to another mechanic to figure out what was going on. I am now being told that my power steering system needs to be replaced, only 3 shocks were installed and the CV axle has been punctured! Which is a major and extremely expensive repair that started immediately after the work performed at NTB. All of these screw ups just for some tires! To make matters worse, when I tried to escalate the issue, the manager refused to provide me with the contact information for corporate. Being left without a vehicle for days, paying for a tow, and now facing a major repair after work performed at this shop is completely unacceptable. I hope someone from NTB corporate sees this review and reaches out, because this situation needs to be addressed and they need to pay for the damages they have caused. read more

On a trip out of town, I damaged my lower engine cover and it was dragging on the highway as I was driving. I pulled into NTB as they were closing up. They were so kind and re-opened a bay. My husband and I went in one Saturday afternoon to have some new tires installed. This location was able to quickly fit us in, although we called in last minute. Upon arrival, the store manager helped us out with choosing tires and he was very kind and helpful. The store was very clean and also seemed fairly renovated. The location I was use to going to was the one over in the Oxmoor area, which is now closed. There was a sitting area and a Keurig machine with K cups. We decided to walk across the street and shop around while we waited. We were notified along the way of anything that came up during the install. Once we got a call that the job was finished we walked back and were so happy with the outcome. We had purchased some rims over in a different city so to see the rims installed with new tires was so great to see. We had a great experience, highly recommend this location, and will definitely soon be back for an oil change. read more

I've actually only been here one time and it was a small emergency ... needed to have a repair made to a tire that picked up a nail (I think in this case it was a screw). Staff were friendly and worked me in as quickly as they could. Service was quick and professional. Prices were, what I felt to be, reasonable .... especially considering the circumstances. Purchased some tires there and they road pretty bad. They have 30 day satisfaction policy and I took advantage of it. Got new tires put on and noticed wheels were scratched. (3 of 4). Plus my alignment was off. Took it back and was greeted with an attitude. " what did we f... up"? Well, I showed him and then told him about alignment. Manager was ok about it. Said they couldn't have done it because all the equipment was plastic. I mentioned that it wasn't there before. I'm pretty picky and I wash my truck regularly and keep it very well maintained. So I know my truck. He offered me free services or I could get it repaired at their expense. Sent me to get a quote only to find out that they nor anyone in Birmingham can fix chrome wheels. Very poor customer service. I had to unload a flat tire for service and roll it into their shop. I was told it would be 1 to 1.5 hours. I left and returned an hour and ten minutes later. They had not touched my tire. It was another 45 minutes. When they were done they rolled the tire out the door and left it laying on the ground. I had to load the tire with the help of my wife. I will mention I am a disabled veteran and unable to pick up large, heavy objects. They never offered to help. Very poor customer service and poor people skills. Do not buy your tires here. I asked how much would he charge me to install my tire and he said $500 for all 4 (keep in mind I told him I'm bringing my own brand new tire) so I told him I only need one tire install, he took a minute and said $80 First thing: 80 x 4 = 320 (simple math) How do you go from $320 to $500??? After my car battery went dead at the Wal-Mart grocery pick up, I was in need of a new battery and quickly. I called NTB and the receptionist gave me the pricing for their batteries and informed me that they could see me without an appointment. I got my car jumped off and went straight there. I was able to get my battery replaced in less than 30 minutes with comparable pricing to other auto shops. The ease and convenience of getting back on the road made my evening much more better after waiting in the grocery pick up spot for an hour. I have had my car at NTB four times. Had to take it elsewhere afterwards to fix what they couldn't when they said they could. Got 4 brand new tires warranty and their free rotation policy for a year. Get car slow leak in front right and they cracked the rim!! Of course there tire machine wouldnt have done that. Had to take it to Alloy Wheels to get it welded. I paid out of pocket. Well, actually not to good. I went in for lifetime tire rotation and balance. The technician came in and said my rear rotors and brake pads were so bad they needed replacing ( about $450). I had just had all 4 rotors and pads replaced 18,000 miles ago. I took the car to another auto repair shop who pulled the tires and showed me on a caliper that the rotor was virtually new in thickness and the pads still had plenty of life left. I feel I was being ripped off. I told some of my friends. They said same type of rip off occurred to them and they dont use NTB anymore. I visited the Alabaster store in May to get a set of run flat tires for my car. A few months later, a rock became wedged in one tire. I took the car back to NTB. They told me I had to purchase another tire. I contacted Pirelli, and was told the tire was covered under warranty. The only thing NTB had to do was send the tire back to them and I would be reimbursed. NTB never sent the tire back. Last week, A nail became lodged in another tire. I did not go back to NTB. I stopped at a locally owned tire shop. Not only was the same tire a lot less, they told me I needed a front end alignment because the tires looked worn on the outside. I just put the tires on the car!!! I has also paid for an alignment with NTB. I was told by the local tire shop that it should be under warranty. I called NTB and was told it would be 89.95. After I told them what I was told, they said it would be free. I will NEVER take my car back to NTB in Alabaster. The manager acts as if he wants to help you, but you can tell he really doesn't. If he did, he would have talked to Pirelli the first time and sent the tire back so I could be reimbursed. The locally owned tire shop told me that if anything should happen the the tire I just purchased, they would automatically send it back and give me a new tire. Serviced my vehicle without floor and seat protection.Watched employee lie down in passenger seat while his manager tried to turn off my maintenance light. when I asked why he reclined and left my seat in that position, the manager became irrate. Employee lied ....said that he was never in my car. I ride alone so "who put it in full recline"??? the manager will tell you on any day that there will be a 3 hour wait for an oil change. Employee told us that he does it all the time so that you will go away. SMH. I will never return to NTB and have decided to cut up the credit card. I came by 2 days ago to order tires and make an appt for 7:30 am Saturday. Arrived on time. They didn't hv the tires. They would get them by truck around 9 and my suv would be done by noon. Eight hours later my car is on the rack. Rep said they had too many reservations...blah blah. Waste of time making an appt. won't be back to NTB. Service is terrible. Sent my daughter by to get an oil change and tires rotated. They were really busy but the manager said he would get to her as soon as possible. She called me and told me that they were taking her car in and doing their inspection. They told her that she needed brakes done soon but would rather talk to me instead of her. So they gave her the estimate and she brought it to me. I was impressed that they would not sell her the brakes. I already knew that the brakes were soon needed because I tried to replace them myself and didn't have the right tools. My daughter said that they left the floor mat they use to protect the floor in the car because the tech asked her if she wanted it. I am impressed because they didn't try to sell to my 17 year old but also took care of her car from getting dirty. I would recommend this NTB in alabaster to anyone. Thank you to Brett brad and nick.
