So one random late night morning I was driving on one of the interstates close to here and sure enough I hit the time that construction was picking up for the morning so after a long wait I got to driving again and sure enough where the construction had picked up from was a big debris pile right then and there I heard my tire pop and it was too the side of the road. While waiting for a tow I found Goodyear here and got AAA to tow me here where I waited tell later in the morning. Before I even arrived here I made a reservation online which was a good thing to do as they were busy on this given morning. When they opened JC was there to help me he got me a the tire I needed and I was on my way in just a few hours of them being open. Ordered my tires off of Amazon and had them delivered straight to the store. I made an appointment for 1pm on 11/1/2025. I showed up at 12:50. She said we have 2 people ahead of us and the lot was almost empty. So we decided to Uber to go eat lunch. After 1 1/2 hours we called before getting an Uber to take us back. The guy said they had 9 tickets and it would be 2 hours or so that they are short handed. So I had an Uber pick us up and take us the 3 miles back to shop to get my tires and truck and leave. 10 minutes later I show up and ask for my keys and tires and miraculously it was on the rack still saying it would be a while after expressing my frustration and they have very limited seating, and being Handicapped I called another Uber to take us somewhere we could sit and wait. I know things happen but if someone has an appointment and arrives on time it sure would be courteous to simply say tell your customer that so they have the chose to leave especially when they have plans 2 1/2 hours later. Had I know it would be 3 plus hours to simply install 4 new tires we would have got the tires and left right then and there. Plans are now ruined. !A desperate place and company! "If you have the time, please read this amazing thing" on February 14th, I went here to change my car engine oil, after they done, my car was immediately unable to Drive, and the center control system showed that Drive Train Malfunction and engine light on. I towed my car to a dealer, where I was tested and told that good year had drained my transmission fluid, but not my engine oil, and put more oil into the engine. The dealer called them and they apologized to me and promised to send the estimate to insurance and that they would cover all of my expenses, including the rental. I waited for !TWO WEEKS! no one contacted me, I went to their store repeatedly, the manager and the owner could not give me any answer. The repair bill is $1,660, and I rented car for two weeks for $700. (I also told them I don't have funds to keep renting car) On February 26/2024, I went to the store again. The front desk told me that the manager was on vacation will back on Friday. I called their boss, but he didn't answer the phone. And I've been trying to contact their company. All this makes me desperate, I used to believe in this company, and now everything they do is disappointing! I'm just a Student without any family support in this country. I feel hopeless. I've already tried all the ways I could think of to solve this problem, but everything seems to be stuck. Come home from Florida to Maryland I started smelling coolant come from my 2020 gmc yukon. Pull into the Goodyear in Pooler Georgia Walked into the showroom when Tom Chase was help a customer said I'll be right with you. It was close to close time Tom had his tech come out and look at the vehicle and he can see it leaking from the water pump. I left the vehicle at the shop overnight and was call at 7:30 am with a estimate to fix the water pump. They had me back on the road by 10am. Awesome team and quick service. While driving home to Florida from DC, I hit an unavoidable piece of tire tread on the highway. No lights lit up so I listened and kept driving thinking I'd get to the next exit. Well the next stop was the Georgia welcome center. Where I pulled into because the indicator light lit up that my transmission need an IMMEDIATE check. So I stopped and sure enough my undercarriage was pretty decimated. I got a tow to this Goodyear where the staff confirmed the damage. These people were so helpful and understanding and allowed us to wait for a ride from Florida to come get my daughter and I. They worried about our safety and kept us aware of everything going on. They couldn't actually fix the car but it was nice to have caring people around when we were in need. read more

The fact that they have so many negative reviews that Yelp hides should be a big red flag for you folks considering taking your car to this sorry excuse of a service center. I took my vehicle to this place and told them that my issue was with the acceleration. The battery had died because the car was not used (because it...doesn't accelerate...and I hadn't had the money to get it fixed until now). Instead of checking the acceleration problem, aka the heart of the issue, the tech replaced the battery, which was brand new and really not the problem. When I picked the car up, I asked if the acceleration issue was fixed, and the tech assured me that the issue was the battery and not what I brought it in for. Well, I didn't even get halfway to work, less than ten miles down the road, before I had to turn the car right back around because the acceleration still wasn't working, despite me asking the front desk guy to ask the tech again. Lo and behold! Even female customers are right sometimes! *eye roll* They check the car again and said oh, it's a transmission issue, which they don't even service here. So I paid through the nose for the battery on a car that will probably be junked because the real problem is going to cost more than the car is worth. I'll fight tooth and nail to get a refund on the battery since THAT WAS NOT EVEN THE ISSUE, and I knew it. Stand your ground with these idiots--like most car places, they'll try to fleece you. read more

Just experienced the rudest form of customer service at the Good Year in Pooler. I wanted someone to check the tire pressure in the tires of the car I'm driving. I'm not used to driving this car and had no clue how much to put in it so I went to see if someone could help me. I was told, "sure, pull around behind the white car in the garage." I then pulled in to the space to be greeted with this lovely rude message. "Air pressure can be done at Parkers" I understand you may get irritated at people for this simple request but there is one way to handle it and then there is this way. Sure, humiliate the customer. They looked at our tire that had a nail in it and said that they could not help even though it was leaking at a rapid rate. They dared to deny a single mom and two children- we were also out of state travelers, so we didn't know where any good places were. I would not recommend coming to this establishment. I was getting new tires at Sam's club, but my tires' lug nuts in my rear tires had expanded and Sam's club was unable to get the tires off. I first moved to Goodley Station in 2006. I don't recall when I first visited Goodyear in Pooler but the experience was bad. Over the years, I went back once or twice, due to the location being convenient. My last visit was this morning, after scheduling an appointment on line. Through all these years, I have yet to find anyplace with worse customer service. They are the most rude, obnoxious and arrogant counter personnel I have ever encountered. You would think over the years, they would hire hire at least one person that has an inkling of customer service and communication skills. "Not". I had to literally "bite my tongue" this morning so not to lose my civility on one of the workers. Don't know if he was a manager or not but I do know that he was a text book idiot. Darn the convenience. I can spend my money on both technical and customer service. read more

It's hard to give these guys a glowing review when it takes forever for them to do work. They do good work but you'll be sitting around for at least an hour after your appointment starts before they will even pull your car back. They clearly have issues with appointment management and time estimates for work. I have come here several times and each one is the same. Show up at my appointment time and then wait at least an hour before they even begin work. They at least to seem to do good work which is why I keep coming back, that and a lack of options in the area. I'm starting to think overall it may take less time driving 20 minutes into the city to find someone with better time management skills. Brought my work car in on a Saturday morning, approximately 9AM. I had a flat tire and also needed an oil change. The attendant behind the desk looked at his computer, made a strange face and asked me if I wanted to bring it back tomorrow (why would they ask any customer that question?). He said the wait will be 3 hours. I told him that I need it by Monday. However before leaving the shop, I told the attendant I would like to pick up the car on Sunday morning instead. He said he will call me but they are trying to take care of the people who have an appointment first. So, now GY can't handle walk-ins and appointments? Another attendant told me that it was their goal to have the car ready before they close at 5. I wasn't able to leave the shop because I had to wait for someone to give me a ride home; I was inside the shop for close to 4 hours waiting. During that entire time, my car just sat there, no one bothered to even look at it, also I never received a phone call. I called the shop around 3 PM the next day, the attendant on the phone apologized for not calling me and told me that they didn't know it was a donut on the car(why is that important?). In addition to that they don't have the tire I need and it will take 2 more days before the car is ready. Unbelievable bad service. Extremely bad service. If the car is returned to me on Tuesday or Wed, that means the car would be in their shop for 4 or 5 days top, and all I needed was 1 tire and an oil change. A company that specializes in tires need 4 days to put 1 tire on a vehicle. Ridiculous! read more

Went in, right when they opened at 7 a.m., for a nail in my tire. I was asked if I could leave it, that "they would get to it sometime today." What a joke. Evidentially, they can't be bothered to plug a small hole that would take probably 10 minutes. By the way, I was the only customer there at the time. read more

My partner and I have both had great experiences the two times we've taken our cars in for service. Whoever answers the phone (I forget her name!) is always so kind and helpful, and everyone I've spoken to there is willing to listen to you. Being new to the area, it's hard finding any business that you trust as much as the one back "home," but this shop made me feel confident in trusting them to do good work for a fair price. I have tried to come here four different times to get an oil change unsuccessfully. Every time I come in, they tell me they are booked for the entire day to try back tomorrow. When you go online to make an appointment, they are wide open, but when you get there they have no room. They might do good work, but they are obviously way too understaffed for the community. I walked into this store in the middle of a customer who was explaining the service manager" I dropped my car off this morning for an oil change and was told my car would be done @ noon. It's 3:45pm" the service manager Interrupted the customer and accused her of calling them incompetent, the customer then said I just came in for an oil change... what an awful service manager. If he worked for me I would have fired him and changed the customers oil for free. What an awful place. Clearly the manager had no clue how to manage the service department or customers. Alternator went out on I-95 at 10pm on Saturday night. Goodyear opened at 9am on Sunday morning and by 11am I was back on the road with a new alternator. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, facility was clean, and work performed was timely. read more

Sunday June 2 our camper had a flat tire. After AAA came and changed the flat with the spare, we decided we better get a new tire to replace the spare tire. After making a few phone calls we found the Goodyear in Poolee Ga. had the tire we needed. The manager at this Goodyear was so very helpful. He fit us in and got our tire changed out in reasonable time so that we could be on our way. I would definitely go back to this Goodyear for service. read more

Will never go back here. Went for an oil change and left with a leaking oil filter due to being double gasketed. Also had almost 2 quarts more of oil than calls for. Called to make an appointment for them to fix the filter and drain some of the excess oil, and the lady said "We just forgot to clean off the skid plate". I was an automotive tech for many years with ASE Certifications, and I knew what was wrong with the car but she wanted to act like I was clueless. I advise you take your vehicle elsewhere. read more

Because I know so little about cars, I'm hesitant to rate a mechanic 5 stars. But I had a good experience at this Goodyear. My car broke down while I was traveling to FL. I stopped by this place because it was one of the only mechanic shops open on a Sunday. Although I would have liked my car to be fixed a little faster, I was very pleased with the whole experience. I was told that my problem arose from the faulty job of a previous mechanic. Goodyear took me back to show what was wrong, allowed me to take pictures (for proof later), and wrote something out to give to my previous mechanic. It all worked; I got my money back from the old mechanic. Even if I hadn't, though, I was pleased with how little I would have had to pay Goodyear. The part that I needed was ordered and arrived that day, and I left having paid less than $150. Given that I was virtually helpless when i showed up, they probably could have taken advantage of my misfortune, but Goodyear didn't. read more

This is my first experience here but not my first with auto service places. I am very mechanically inclined and blessed I can work on my own car and don't have to deal with places like this. I had to come in today for new tires and and alignment. I called to make an appt. was quoted 174 to have 4 tires mounted and balanced and an alignment. I walk in at 9 when my appt was and they never had my appt. when the lady filled out all my paperwork she quoted me 260 dollars! I was told I was quoted 174 on the phone and she said that's not possible. After she typed on the computer for 5 min she got my price down to 188. I accepted. My appt was at 9, 2.5 hours later she comes in waiting room and tells me my tires are on but waiting to get on alignment rack! I have been here over 3 hours for a task that should have taken 1-2 hours at the most. Horrible customer service. Waiting room full of disgruntled people. Try a diff shop. read more

I made an appointment last week for an oil change for my car. The appointment was today (1/4/2016). I walked in at 9:45a.m. for a 10:00a.m. appointment. Firstly, their computers were taking a long time to load and I believe Rich was dealing with another customer ahead of me, however, I wasn't greeted until a few minutes later. Actually, the greeting I received was, "What can I do for you?" I walked up to say that I had an appointment at 10a.m. and it was now 9:50a.m. Then, a lady came out of a back room and asked for my information and then I handed off my keys. Now, an oil change doesn't take THAT long (no more than an hour). There weren't that many cars there, so, I figured I was safe to walk around the area for a little bit. I received a phone call at 10:56a.m. from Goodyear telling me about my passenger rear tire being bad and needing to be replaced. Mind you, I just purchased this car, albeit an older car, from a trusted family friend whom is also a mechanic. The car belonged to his wife...whom I doubt he would let ride around with a bad tire especially since he told me they were all new tires. Additionally, I've put nearly 10k miles on the car since purchasing it... I told the person over the phone that I would think about it and get back with him. Now, I was standing on the sidewalk looking at my car in the shop. I was thinking that the car was about to be pulled out within a few minutes. NOPE. Time continues ticking and they lower the car and then begin topping off the liquids... I go inside and the guy draws a picture for me of what's wrong with the tire and tell me they won't do a tire rotation because the tire is bad and it would be a liability for them. Ok... "please just finish my original service" is what I say to him. He says I'll get a picture for you. I go back outside and they hoist the car back up... It's now 11:17a.m. and I have to be to work at 12noon in Savannah. I'm getting frustrated because it has been long enough to complete the entire oil change, top off liquids, AND the free tire rotation at this point (which they didn't and refused to do). I go back inside and wait...11:25a.m. ... I ask Rich at the front desk if it usually takes this long for an oil change. He tells me that "it takes an hour but you requested a tire rotation, too.." I responded, "but I've been here for 1 hour and 40 minutes...that's more than an hour." I'm not sure if Rich was having a bad day or was frustrated or what but he had 0 customer service. The guy shows me the picture and I really don't care to see it at this point...I'm ready to go. I have to go to work. I finally pay and leave the parking lot at 11:35a.m. barely getting to work on time. I purchased the Max life oil change that comes with a topping off of all fluids and a free tire rotation which I didn't receive because I had a "bad" tire. So, essentially, I paid extra for an upgraded oil change and didn't receive the extra benefits. My total was 60 bucks. Bottom line: I won't be returning. read more
