I love this place! The service is friendly, and the food is delicious. I also really love the location. The outdoor patio is wonderful when the weather is nice. The view of the pond and fountain in the heart of the downtown area is perfect. Parking can be a bit limited right at the restaurant, but there is also a lot across the street that can be used. Their club sandwich is really good. As is the seasonal toast option. I really enjoyed the Mediterranean avocado toast they did a couple of months ago. They also have a nice selection of gifts when you enter. The candle scents are divine! My favorites are Black Sea and Strawberry Cheesecake. I love being able to buy quality products and food while supporting such amazing local businesses and their mission. read more

Such a cute, festive little coffee shop--especially perfect for the Christmas season. The space was decorated beautifully for the holidays and had a very warm, welcoming vibe. It's the kind of place that feels cozy the moment you walk in. I ordered a medium decaf latte with their seasonal Nutty Nutcracker flavors (hazelnut and almond), and it was delicious--smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet. My husband got the Jingle Bell Rock latte, which includes caramel, butter pecan, brown sugar, and cinnamon. He had it with oat milk since they were out of almond milk, and he really enjoyed it. They're pet-friendly on the outdoor patio, which we always appreciate, and they even had a small section inside with pet-related items available for purchase--a really nice and thoughtful touch. Both medium lattes came out to about $11 total, which felt very reasonable. Between the festive decor, good coffee, and pet-friendly atmosphere, this is definitely a spot I'd recommend and would happily visit again. read more

Everything was good! Hospitality, food, value. This place needs to be packed every day! Potatoes - we weren't sure about the potato casserole side for breakfast but it was so creamy and well seasoned. And it did have some crispy cheesy pieces in it. Fruit side was fresh and good. BLAT was just what I wanted in a BLT. Juicy tomatoes and I did like the addition of avocado. Hubby had burrito and approved. Only tiny critique - chop the sausage so it is more evenly distributed. We had to work hard to find any improvement for this clean, friendly, and well priced restaurant! read more

This is such a gem in McAdenville. A group of us stopped here after hiking the trails. You can walk to the restaurant from the trail parking lot. The food was very fresh and really good. The service was friendly and quick. You order and pay for your food when you walk in and they will bring it to your table. It is a cozy nice place to have a meal. Went last week and staff was very friendly, and the food & milkshake were delicious! We got the Downtown McAdenville salad--add chicken with raspberry vinaigrette, pepperoni flat bread with fruit, and the Superman milkshake. I had been wanting to check this spot out for awhile and will definitely be going back. Sad they're closed on Sunday's, we were going to head back over there today, but it's nice for their staff that they are closed for a day! Also love all the decor and the ambiance. read more

Let me start by saying I read all the reviews prior to my visit and I understand that they are part of Holy Angels. This was our first time visiting. I ordered the classic with bacon and hash browns. They informed me they were out of potatoes. Really, it was 9:45 am. So I switched to cheese grits. My wife ordered a chicken biscuit. Results. Food was placed on 2 other tables before being brought to us. My eggs were cold. Precooked bacon was tasteless. My instant grits made with water were thin enough to suck thru straw. No better for the cold toast. My wife's chicken biscuit warm to touch but not enough to melt the cheese. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed. Oh, and like McDonald's- the Expresso machine was broken. read more

Such a great restaurant and I love the mission they support of Holy Angels. Our favorite part of breakfast was the coffee flight! You've got to try this!! 4 mini flavors of iced coffee. These change seasonally, and we loved the Christmas options! We went for breakfast and they had a great variety of options and we really enjoyed everything we got. I got the chicken biscuit how it is on the menu. They asked if I wanted the garlic aioli on the side. I kept it on the sandwich..the flavor was nice, but the garlic smell is strong. My husband got a sandwich on the crescent roll...these are huge!! I would highly suggest getting the crescent roll if you have a choice of bread. My husband also loved his side of the hashbrowns..they are cheesy and have onions (reminded us of Cracker Barrel hashbrown casserole) They were absolutely delicious!! read more

Love this place. Only negative thing was the flatbread we got which was the margarita flatbread and it was soggy. Everything is super cute and such a nice atmosphere. Today I stopped in the the Spruced Goose Station in McAdenville and it appears to be a hidden gem in the community. The location lends itself to a very tight parking which is not good but the restaurant did not create this situation. Just want to let you know that you may want to park on a side street and walk over to the building as it is REALLY difficult to park between the narrow lines and to open your car door without bumping the car beside you. I did get inside and it is MUCH bigger than it looks from the outside. They have retail just inside the front door where you can obtain T-shirts, pre-packaged sausage, Cotton Candy and a variety of trinkets. The place is bright and decorated very nicely. At the counter where you order is a board showing the special soup and quiche of the day. They have a large menu and there were several folks placing orders while I waited. There are lots of tables for seating and it looks very inviting. My mission = COFFEE. . . They have probably the largest selection of flavors and some of them were quite original so I ordered the Gingerbread flavor with Almond milk and whipped cream on top. It was very good. I will go back to try the food. The only area that may need improvement is the service. Although my visit was prior to lunchtime the staff seemed out of sorts. Not sure why because they didn't seem very busy but I felt like I may have been a bother in some way. I asked one question about if they had any other quiche other than what was listed on the board and the cashier looked and responded with a simple "no." Once I paid for my order, I moved to the end of the counter to wait for my drink and upon receipt I made a small joke asking the barista if that was my cup of deliciousness. She responded with, "I don't know, if you like Gingerbread, I don't." WOW. Okay, maybe it was a bad joke but really? On to the next place for the next cup. read more

The mission, the staff and the food are all 5 stars! I had the avocado toast and it was elevated to another level. My honey had a more standard breakfast which was also delish. They have positions for folks from the Angels of Mercy residence halls and every one we encountered was superb and happy to be at work. The manager was beyond amazing! I really wanted to come back for lunch the same day, as everything looked so good. Small meeting room available. Great view out the front windows. Converted gas station is so cool with fabulous decor. Coffee was great. Ordered overnight oats which were sooo good. Opted out of maple syrup and still delicious.
