I called them because of the great review(I think some are from when Sue was across the street). Phone convo was great and I took my truck there. They installed my Trans(let's say Lance put it in and that was that). Picked up my truck drove home. I opened the hood to find my Trans lines cut, dangling around and leaking Trans fluid all over the place. Installation was mediocre at best. My trans cooler was held on by the smallest loose Zip ties. About two extra feet of hose on both sides hanging and clamps on Trans line... NO FLARE. Trans leaking at the yoke..... fast forward to two weeks ago. Brought my truck in 9-08-2026 for the leak that was there when they installed it. They said it was dry and no leak. I begged them to look inside the Tail Shaft housing to see if there was a messed up Yoke Seal.... That's when they threw the "we're the experts" line and we got into an argument. They charged me $375 for warranty work and they NEVER checked the Yoke seal like I asked 9-11-2026. I was P-d off so Monday, 9-14-2026, I called the Trans company and told them my situation.... And what do you know... The Trans Manufacturer told me that MY Transmission is missing...the YOKE SEAL that the S&L Tech knew nothing about, and didn't check like I asked. Trans company sent out the part that I needed and Trans fluid, got it Wednesday 9-16-2026. Trans Company also said take it to a BETTER, CERTIFIED Trans shop. In MY experience it was Shade Tree with a shop. You would get better results going to your local High School shop class. I know there will be a rebuttal.... but I have Receipts...Yes Receipts, Pictures, Videos, Emails some recorded phone convos and a messed up oil stained Driveway that yall can come look at in real time.... today is 9-20-2026...... Avoid this place.

Steve is usually the person I work with, and he has always been fantastic to deal with. The team is incredibly transparent throughout the entire process and takes the time to show videos and pictures of anything they recommend for your vehicle. What I appreciate most is that they never use pressure or scare tactics to push unnecessary repairs. They're honest, straightforward, and truly treat you like family instead of just another customer walking through the door. It's hard to find an auto shop you can fully trust these days, but Christian Brothers has absolutely earned ours.

The owner also saved me a significant amount on replacing control arms, CV boots and engine/transmission mounts - all of which I knew needed replacing. The control arms had seem some wear/tear over the years - particularly since they had been exposed to salt roads up north. It was worth the 2 1/2 week to get a repair done the correct way, honestly and without up charging. I will definitely skip the dealerships moving forward! Side Note: Initially I brought the vehicle to Sanders Automotive before I knew of Automotive Solutions. At Sanders Auto (my "old friend" there previously from Chapel Hill Tire, took my car in. Since I know just enough about vehicles to diagnose it I feel fairly confident when I bring it into the mechanic. When I saw "B" I knew it was going to get interesting and sure enough it did. I was told that the vibration went away if I hold the steering wheel (LOL) and that the only thing wrong was the CV Boot had ripped. They definitely missed the engine/tranmission mounts as well as the failed control arm. But its a blessing in disguise as it lead me to Automotive Solutions :)
