If you're from out of town this is not the place to go to if your car breaks down. They will make you wait two weeks before they even look at your car. My dad had a clutch issue with his car. He ended up taking it to Transmission Physician in Pine Bluff. They were able to look at it the next business day. read more

Owner is nice, but his wife who works at the front desk is rude. While I was waiting for them to finish working on my car, she made fun of or talked poorly of several customers who came in and out. They never call back when I drop my car off there to let me know when it's finished, even though they promise to. They charged us for labor they had not yet done, but "planned to do in the future" for us, and worst of all, told me I had a problem with a part that didn't actually need replacing. If I hadn't gotten a second opinion, I'd have wasted another 1200 bucks with them that didn't need to be spent. Between their misinformation and the complete lack of professionalism at the front desk, I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone. read more

Dropped a vehicle for service after "onsight inspection" of business and phoning in to make shop aware. Despite multiple smiling very pleasant face-to-face conversations multiple times moving deadlines the vehicle WAS NOT TOUCHED for two weeks. They did not call when they did not meet their own soft deadlines and eventually had a towing service transfer it to the local dealership to perform the work. Basically they consistently OVERPROMISED AND UNDERDELIVERED in every way. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. This is my first online review of any kind. The woman working at the front desk (whom I believe to be Mrs. Leenheer) is a complete nightmare. I drive a 2007 Nissan Sentra that has been making rattling noises and stalling out on me. Instead of having it serviced at the dealership, where they charge $90/hour just to take a look, I thought I would go back to Leenheer where I used to take my '95 Pathfinder. HUGE mistake. This business has gone unbelievably downhill. What happened to the young woman who used to handle customers? At least she had a basic knowledge of how cars work, and was reliable. Mrs. Leenheer told me I could bring in my car and they would be able to look at it within a day or two at most, and that she would give me a call back as soon as they'd taken a look at it. I am a generally patient person, but after 8 days, she had not called me once. I would call her in the mornings to ask if any progress had been made, she would make a vague statement about her husband being out to lunch (how many lunches can one person eat in a day?? The technicians here are ALWAYS mysteriously "out to lunch" no matter the time), and promise to call me back as soon as she'd spoken with him. Another day would go by and I'd have to call again. She seemed to think this exchange was funny, as if her "absent-mindedness" was in some way endearing. It was not. She also could not explain to me what exactly was wrong with my o2 sensors. This is a verbatim quote: "Oh, you know, o2 just has something to do with the general...flow...of things. Maybe the engine. You know?" I said that I did not know, and asked for a clarification. She responded again with laughter, like she thought I was joking. I was not. THE WOMAN HAD TO GOOGLE MUFFLERS WHILE SHE WAS ON THE PHONE WITH ME. After the eight days, my dad (who technically owns the car) called Jeff himself to complain about the complete lack of communication concerning the status of my vehicle and what was in fact wrong with it. Jeff opened the hood and, within two minutes of answering the phone, was able to diagnose the problem: a cracked hose - which we have since purchased through Nissan and will replace ourselves, due to the total incompetence of Leenheer Automotive. I should note that when I went to pick up my car - after this woman had insisted for over a week how "slammed busy" they'd been - she did not notice my mother or myself waiting to be helped (in the empty lobby) because she was hard at work...on an arts & crafts project for some sort of aerobics class. She then tried to charge me for all the time they'd allegedly spent "diagnosing" my problem. I pointed out that if they had bothered to open the hood 8 days earlier (like ANY other mechanic would have done), they would have found the problem immediately and nobody's time would have been wasted. However, it was painfully evident that they had never examined my car at all. Upon attempting to leave the parking lot, my engine died twice before I even backed it out of its parking space. It seems to be significantly worse than it was when I brought it in. In summary, do not take your car to Leenheer, unless you are prepared to spend a lot of money to have a "professional" inflict further damage over an indefinite period of time. They are careless. They are lazy. Their customer service is, in a word, nonexistent. The woman in charge of the lobby is an airhead. I will henceforth be taking my business into town and paying the extra money for quality service - although, at this point, any service would be higher quality than the NOTHING I received from Leenheer Automotive. read more
