Their deli is all Deitz & Watson, which is as expensive as Boars Head but nowhere near as good. The lunchmeat always gets slimy within 2 to 3 days. Their own "in-house" meats aren't impressive and stupid extensive. The quality just isn't there with the product or pricing, but the deli staff at the counter is really top-tier.

I had to take out every item I purchased for them to refund it and re-ring it up all on a small customer service counter. I wish it was more consistent with their customer service. I will continue to shop here because of the selection and convenience of it being close to every thing but they could definitely use some improvement and better training for their employees.

The owners of Starr Market are wonderful people and I went to starr elementary with their daughter back in the day. I don't live there anymore but so glad to see they are still there and after reading the great reviews I'm reminded of how nice the family is who owns it. Also, when I turned 21 they sold me my first (legal) bottle of booze and a very special 6 pack of Bell's dark cherry chocolate stout. Thanks for all the memories :-)
