I am very impressed and happy with the work they did on our property trimming trees, fertilizing trees and removing dead limbs. They were great, very safe and respectful of my property. And this job was not easy, they had a metal roof, patio and gardens to contend with. When they cleaned up it looked better than it did to start with. The guys were all amazing, very friendly and hard working and skillful; they were professional and definitely knew their jobs. We've had other tree trimmers to our property but these guys were above and beyond better. They will now be our go-to guys for further tree work should we ever need it. After getting several estimates to get a poplar tree, cut down at my daughter's house I finally came across Gordon W Frazier Tree Service. I am so happy that I found them. I get what the other reviewer said about changed time, etc. I've dealt with a few tree removals over the years and that seems to be par for the course with most companies. It's outdoor work that is highly influenced by weather; they don't need access to the home so really most work can be done when it fits their schedule. When we called GWF, I was getting a little concerned myself because the estimate was rescheduled a few times but I'm glad I stuck it out and based on the work I would not hesitate to call them again. The quote was reasonable - a little more than our lowest quote but a few hundred beneath the highest. We signed their contract on the spot though because I felt Gordon honest and upfront over the phone with me and in-person with my husband. They were also able to accommodate our needs and actually took the tree down sooner than we expected. Another company told me it would take at least 4 hours of work and his crew had it down and cleaned up in two. Aside from a missing tree and some scattered wood chips, you really would never know they had been in the yard. I'll actually probably be calling them this fall for some tree trimming. read more

We had a large tree fall on our house early Friday morning. We called Gordon Frazier Tree Service, and within an unbelievably timely manner, they arrived at my house and began removing the tree. The tree had fallen over a gas-powered generator and was being supported by the roof over my family room. Gordon Frazier Tree Service took care of removing the tree without damaging my generator or causing further damage to the house. Afterward, they cleaned up all the leaves, branches, and debris and hauled away all the wood. They charged a resonable price for an emergency call out. Absolute professionals. They took down some 100 ft plus trees, trimmed large branches, removed some felled trees, old landscaping and cleared some overgrown areas. Gordon was on the job entire time and they did an awesome job. My yard looks so much better. Took the entire day but they did it! As a mortgage person of 24 years I am always asked for referrals for various client's projects. Experience has taught me to only recommend people who do a great job that I feel I can trust. It is a very small list! Gordon is now on that list. You will not be disappointed in what he does. Very fair and honest. I would also remind people that outdoor work is subject to the weather so there is absolutely no way they could guarantee that the weather is going to cooperate. Our ground was wet from storms and they hand carried the debris out rather than tearing up the yard. But I would have understood if it got pushed back. My wife and I arranged for Gordon W. Frazer to come out about a month and a half ago to remove a tree from our front yard. When they arrived, they told us that the tree had too many leaves and the added weight was a concern to them so they postponed until this month. Last Thursday (October 18th) one of Gordon W. Frazer's employees showed up at my door and said that he just wanted to tell us that they would be coming out the following week to remove the tree. By Thursday (Ocotber 25th) I hadn't heard anything. I called and left a message asking when Gordon W. Frazer would be coming and reminded them that they had given me the time-frame of this week. They called back and said they would come out on Saturday (today, October 27th) at 9:00 am. I was up and ready for them by 8:30. By 10:00 am they hadn't shown up or even called, so I left another message. Nothing. By 12:30 still nothing--so I called and left yet another message on their other phone number and sent and email listed on their business card. Nothing. It is now 10:00 pm and they never showed and never called. My day was hijacked by their lack of professionalism. My family had expected to use the wood from that tree for our wood stove this Winter; now, since we have to find a new tree service, it may not be cut in time to use the wood. Also, we are expecting a hurricane next week and it would have been a load off our minds to know that tree no longer posed a threat to our house. Let me be clear: I am not as upset that the tree didn't come down today as I am by Gordon W. Frazer's lack of professional courtesy in just picking up the phone to say they can't make it or just to let us know what happened. I will not be calling Gordon W. Frazer again... read more

I had them cut some branches on a tall oak I have. They did the job at a reasonable price and seemed to know what the were doing as far as cutting. However my issue is that we had agreed and confirmed several times that they would take away the brush after they were done. Instead, they dumped it all in the front of my lot. I did not see this till the next day. I called several times and left messages but they never returned my call. In the end I had to call the county to remove the brush read more

I am so pleased with the work performed by Gordon. We contacted him for an estimate on removing a few trees and trim some others in our yard. He contacted us and personally came over to give us an estimate. He knows his trees. He has done this work for 30 years and it's a family business which we love working with small family businesses. We had an ill apple tree - it was not maintained prior to us purchasing the home 8 years ago. We tried to prune it, figure out what ailed it. A number of arborists (other estimate providers) agreed that it was beyond hope and to remove it. We also removed a smaller apple tree (for pollination). We have mimosas which are the weed of trees. I love them for their blooms (they attract butterflies, bees and hummingbirds), but they are so intrusive. Gordon pointed out that one of the mimosas was possible causing an issue with our home due to their roots. We had him remove 2 mimosas and trim a third one (I wanted to keep one for the blooms & bees). What really impressed me was one of the other trees we wanted removed turned out to be a honey locust which Gordon told us was healthy and we should keep it. His price was very fair and reasonable - included the stump removal as well. He was able to come out the following week and complete the job. He would call us sometime the beginning of the week (we were flexible) Gordon called me the day before and asked if the next day was a good day to do the project. Worked for me. He called me in the morning to confirm and gave me an estimated time of arrival. He called before the ETA and said he would be delayed and updated his arrival time. They showed up and had the entire job completed in less than 3 hours! These guys were amazing to watch and constantly going. I was impressed. They completely cleaned up the debris - looked even better than it did before they arrived. I highly recommend Gordon! I have used GWF at least 3 times in the past to trim my huge trees and cut down the dead ones. Gordon is very knowledgeable. A tree fell on my house recently. I called Gordon on Friday afternoon, and they were here Saturday morning. It ended up being a huge job that needed a crane. Gordon was able to get the crane that day. He walked around my property to determine if there were any other trees in danger of falling. He is very reasonably priced. I will always call GWF tree services for any tree issues. read more

Gordon W Frazier Tree Service - Undependable - They show up when they want and not when you want. They may show up and do the work at dusk and likely prefer that the homeowner is not even around. They may not even show up on time or at all to do an estimate. Poor quality work - just a poor shoddy job such as not even trimming one of the trees that they were told to work on and sloppy work elsewhere. While we had received several quotes from reputable firms to perform removal of several large (2 1/2 - 3 foot diameter) trees plus trimming of several other equally large trees, the price quoted by Gordon Frazier was sufficiently attractive that we accepted immediately. However, since we were a first time user,we were uncertain regarding the quality of service we would get. Now knowing the result, we are pleased to report that everything was excellent and adjacent buildings and shrubs were carefully avoided. They not only completed every item on the bid list, they also performed several ad hoc additional trimming on our heavily wooded lot. They also mounted our roof and cleared it of the debris that the former overhanging branches had deposited (also not on the bid list).
