Messy environment. Strange cardboard boxes with DVDs from all around the nation that have touched god knows how many hands. Store is a petri-dish for this pandemic!

I am all for supporting a small business but not when the store is a dive. Rundown and unsanitary. All those boxes full of DVDs and tapes just laying around from god knows where. The workers can't possibly disinfect all those DVDs and video boxes! People and customers inside look depressed and unhealthy.
Whoever is in charge seems to be treating this national emergency as a joke on their facebook, with threats of wiping his butt on the doorknobs and handrails when toilet paper runs out. He/she mockingly claims a little bit of Windex is enough to sanitize his store. What malarkey! According to the CDC, bleach isn't even enough to combat contagion unless proper measures for cleaning are in place, and this store has made it abundantly clear it has no desire to take seriously this threat posed to us seniors! Just a little bit of windex. What baloney.
I included pictures on here from their own website with their said childish threats to spread contagion, and documented pictures of their messy store in my complaints.
With the coronavirus spreading, and with this pandemic looking to get worse before it gets better, I would advise staying away from places like this when they cop such a disrespectful, reckless attitude to the community. That awful virus can survive on plastic for three days alone. People in my age group are at risk.
In theory, the way a video rental store works, a DVD rental is passed from one home to another and requires touch to work, which would be the perfect way to spread this!
My granddaughter brought this to my attention months ago. At first, I smiled at the nostalgia factor of a video store after my favorite blockbuster closed down years ago. But I've adjusted and found streaming and Amazon to be so much easier, and found no reason to support his rental habit. Personally you don't have to deal with scratchy discs that skip, or have to fuss setting up a player, which is why she lost interest.
We have to evolve with the times. God and nature require us to evolve in difficult times. Sorry, but you can't get a virus from streaming. Streaming movies have taken over the market for a reason and video rental stores are antiquated and simply are not compatible with our way of life anymore. Why purchase the same movie here when you reduce trash in the landfill, avoid scratches on a disc that may not, save money $$$ and easily download it or buy it digitally from Amazon --- all from the safety of your own homes? Not worth taking a chance getting ill or dying just to live in the bygone past.
This is how we defeat this thing. By being smart, candid and having empathy. I will change my review to a more positive one when they grow up and offer a streaming service in sync with the times.
