The drop-off process at Airtime was super easy--basically laid the wing out on the floor so they could take a look at it, and they quoted me $120 to do all the various canopy repairs i needed & then took down my information. I got a email confirmation with all the details of my work-order, and then a couple days later got an email telling me to come pick up the wing. Repairs look to be carefully & skillfully done, and the wing works great! I know they'll try to match colors if that's what you're after, but i basically asked them to make it distinctive. The guy checking me out called it the wabi-sabi treatment. All around great experience (other than the damage that necessitated the visit, obviously) -- thanks Airtime folks!

I recently ordered a 3wt Redington CT combo with the Big Y standard reel. The combo was delivered in a couple of days. I noticed a problem with the fly line the 1st time I cast it. I emailed them and got a quick response even though it was Labor Day. They emailed me a shipping label to send the reel back. I had the reel back in my hands respooled with new line in less than a week. Great customer service! I've also got to say I'm really impressed with their Big Y Standard reel for the money. The machining is great and it's a really smooth reel that seems to shoot way above its price point.

Lots of sun hats in different materials, both solid and open weaved styles. And of course lots of caps! Many with sun protection. The hats are on the wall, on the tables, with lots of bright light and space so you can easily see them and access them to try on. When it's cool I like to wear a scarf when I'm out on my walks and they have lots in really pretty, modern patterns. Many infinity, some with fringe and tassels. Stripes, floral, geometric - something for everyone's style. The owners live right in Hood River where Pistil was founded in 2003. They have a website with a lot more inventory but it's wonderful that they have opened a brick & mortar so you can see, touch and feel the fabrics, gauge the size of the bags, inspect the compartments and try on the hats. A definite must for me since I often have to wear children's hats so they fit! Opening during the Pandemic has added challenges. Perhaps they had men's clothes at one point in time and they phased it out. Some stores do that. Or sometimes I bookmark businesses and the reason why I did that gets forgotten. But aside from that the merchandise is very nice and good shop situated in downtown Hood River. The clothing has kind of western style spin to it but in a classy, socializing way as opposed to western wear that is also work wear. Everyone that worked here was very nice and they had some very nice blankets that they had here for sale so that is also something to consider while out and about downtown.

Their easy rigging, combined with great low-end power and smooth handling provide a near-effortless windsurfing experience, important as I grow older!(64) Sailworks service is easily the best in the business as well, and they'll fix ANY sail for you, usually overnight if they have the right material in the loft, which they usually do. When I walked into the loft with a Hucker I had stupidly punched my knee through, Dale took the still-dripping sail from me and started working on it right there! I picked it up the next morning, good as new. Sailworks will definitely be my brand for life.
