I am (admittedly!) a high maintenance bride, and I had a ton of little changes I wanted to make on my difficult-to-alter wedding gown. Add a slit, fix the pleats, add removable straps (for which I had a VERY specific vision), make sure the interior tulle of the dress pulled to the edges so I could properly move and dance, make sure the strapless dress wasn't moving on me one inch, while also making sure I could still breathe and eat... Kendra had the solution for ALL of it. Including so many solve ideas that I would've never thought of. She's clearly an expert in the field of alterations, and she literally said "oh yes absolutely" to every question I had that started with "is there any way to..." FAIRY GODMOTHER. On top of all of that, Kendra has the disposition to calm any high strung bride (or mother) during a potentially stressful part of the process. Her welcoming, kind and "of course we can!" attitude made me so at ease (peaceful, even?), during this process and I cannot state the importance of this enough. Not only that, she made sure the finished product of each adjustment was also up to HER standards, which are high. She was so good that I even had her work on two other wedding looks for me, had her dye my veil to match my dress, and she even helped me adjust my SHOES to my ideal dream look! I mean, what can't she do?! Kendra J - and her sister, who I also worked with in the beginning - are a high-maintenance, type A, dancer & perfectionist bride's dream come true. Cannot recommend them enough with such an important part of such an important time in someone's life.

It was held together with a safety pin in order to through the ceremony. I refrained from hugging family and friends all night. As you can see, the broken strap is very noticeable. As the night went on. The back seem near the zipper was separating. And then one of the five point bustle broke. My dress was literally falling apart. We called the seamstress Monday morning. She was only willing to pay for the broken straps. My alterations were $669. Straps, seems and bustles shouldn't fall apart. My heart is broken. The dress was so beautiful and all I can see are the broken areas in all my pictures. Please please please be careful who you choose.

Ultimately, I ended up leaving this place with a bad taste in my mouth. When I got sized up and measured for my old suit, a blazer, and a casual button-down, everything was great. The staff was friendly, and Sarah did a nice job talking me through everything. I'll be real, it was ultimately a lot more money than I thought it would be. This place has a good reputation and I needed it done, so I rolled with it. You pay up front and then come back on the date they tell you. I'll say, a courtesy call that it's ready would've been nice as this is the kind of thing that easily slips the mind. Went in to get it, and noticed the button-down was still crazy long. Like, too long to wear. We had just sized it up a few weeks prior, and again, I remember it all clearly having had a positive interaction. I remembered the specifics -- at one point I thought the suggested length would be way too short, but we ultimately settled on an inch or so hemmed up. So I mention this, and whoever was taking care of me (not the same, friendly person from my first visit) was acting as if they'll make it all right, but noted it would be a new job. I.e., I'd have to pay even MORE than the $335 I'd already paid for the suit, blazer, and shirt taken in. I was surprised and was like, OK, but then it didn't sit well... again, I remember already going through this. That's where they left it. The way it came off to me was a half-assed, "Oh we just want you to be happy, so feel free to leave it with us and we can do what we said we were going to but charge you more for what we originally promised." Customer service matters, and you never want to drop a bag of money and feel dissatisfied, but that's where I'm at. I'm giving the courtesy of three stars again because the first half was a positive experience, and they ultimately got the suit and jacket right and on time. I respect that, but am disappointed to be right where I started with my shirt. Budget's already spent on alterations for the next couple years, and in my opinion, hemming it an inch to fulfill the original order shouldn't be a hill they die on. On to the next, and if you go here, I hope you get better resolution and customer service than I did.

I declined to pay up front, and it wasn't an issue, just a little awkward. Take some advice from me: anyone who asks for all your money before they've lifted a finger is asking you to trust more than they've earned. A good worker proves their worth as they go, not before they begin. Once money leaves your hand, it doesn't always find its way back.

I decided to take in a very formal gown I was wearing to a wedding to test them out before giving them 'the' dress. I was blown away. They are getting all of my business for any formal or complicated alterations I need! I am a petite 5'1" female and there was a lot of this dress that needed to be taken in and shortened. They also put in some bra cups so that I didn't have to wear a bra. It doesn't look like much from the outside of the building, and it's not in the best location. But when you go inside, you can immediately tell you're in the right place. They have high end equipment and a nice space. It was busy when I walked in, which is also a good sign. The people here are well trained and know what they're doing. The man I worked with really took his time to make sure my dress was laying properly and would fit well with his adjustments. He reminded me to stand tall so that it wouldn't be messed up as he was taking measurements. They were also able to get my dress done within two weeks! They gave it to me freshly pressed and ready to go. Awesome service. I can't say enough positive things about this place.

I asked her to pin the underboob area and she just ran her fingers over it to "flatten" it out. She started pinning the bottom for hemming which was odd to me since the top of the dress should be altered before even looking at the hem... I looked down and noticed she snagged my dress! Front and center right on the top layer, I pointed it out and she scrunched her face and tried to smooth it over and just moved on like it didn't happen!? At this point all the red flags were glaring me in the face and I kindly asked "this is just a consultation, right?" And she scoffed and said "no, you're booked with me to tailor your dress." I let her know " I'm so sorry there must have been a misunderstanding this was just supposed to be a consultation." Then she proceeded to basically tell me I was wasting her time. I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I could. I feel awful after this experience. I left in tears with a snagged dress, I don't feel like she listened to me or tried to accommodate my requests. I would NEVER trust this place with any piece of clothing, let alone my wedding dress. She told us if we couldn't find someone cheaper she will re close for me (were it originally was before opening) which her ENGLISH speaking daughter was right beside her knew what was explained to us. So we were cool with that. Also, because I had a photoshoot I decided to see if I can find someone cheaper but (we just decided I wouldn't wear the dress for the hassle) and stick to the one she was currently opening for us. So upon picking my dress today... I brought the dress back that SHE opened back to her to close at her timeframe no rush (as promised) . She had the nerve to tell me she will still charge me 40 dollars SAME price to open my dress. What a way to Try to get over on customers. Lost a client in me. Other better tailors close by. Better service and trusting in price. Trust me it wasn't a good thing. She damage my dress and wouldn't put it back were it was originally before she opened it. So basically my dress is just open on both sides. How tacky ! Hope that was worth it.

I stopped by on my way home and she hadn't even touched the skirt despite it presumably being ready the next day. Nonetheless she said it would be ready on time. I came in the next day to pick it up after it was finally ready. I brought it home in the garment bag and noticed it had ink stains all over it. She didn't bother to tell me that she stained it, nor that she tried to get it out and left a water stain as well. Horrible service. Accidents happen but not informing a customer is inappropriate and poor business.
