One of the worst manicures and pedicures I've ever gotten. Started with the pedicure- the girl seemed to have no clue what she was doing. At one point, to get the scrub off my legs, she used the course bristle brush on my legs and if felt like she was just scratching me. Prior to putting on the polish, she didn't put my flip flops on, so when another woman tried to put them on and bumped one, instead of cleaning it up and making it look right, she just dabbed some on and made it clear I was to move. No help taking my phone, purse or drink. I finally had acetone on my nails to soak off my old gels, and in not helping me, I actually ruined my phone case by getting acetone on it. Then, I switched to another person for a gel mani. I had asked multiple times if they needed to soak off the gel I already had on. The acetone hadn't been on long, and he just hacked away to get it off. My nails were not clean but he said it would be fine. Also, while he brought over the metal tools in the sanitary bag, it wasn't sealed, so I'm guessing they just switch tools in and out. Worthless. Lengths of each nail are uneven and he barely removed cuticles form the nail bed area. When it came time for polish, he gooped so much onto each nail, I have bubbles in them and ridges when you look from the side. The polish doesn't reach to the edges of the nails. It looks like junk. The guy who did my nails also checked me out and made it very clear I was getting 15% off but exactly what the full price would be so I would know what to tip. I tipped because I felt compelled to but not because I thought they did a good job. I will definitely not be going back! read more

I have been going to this place for a while now... and i m not going back... not only results are never the same but ... its noisy, the tv is always working and music is playing mainly the same stuff over and over, staff always talks to each other in a different language and ... i don't care what they are saying but they often do talk point and giggle... it feels that they are laughing at you or other clients. To me a pedicure is little time that i don't need to talk to anyone and really relax and maybe read a magazine... and it was very often not the case They have lots of polishes and colors to chose from but most of the bottles are old and dry polishes are mixed with deluders and that kills the quality of the polish, polishes are often very thick and crack fast... plus very often they mix colors in bottles to create new colors i guess... Not too long ago they did a remodeling of the place but in a few month its back to "normal" bunch of boxes sitting there and here all over the place, stuff stored in corners... Last time i went there i really did not appreciate the attitude... the lady that took me to do a pedicure did offer me by showing the menu a speciality pedicure... i said " no thank you, just a regular one" .... she insisted and pointed out to my feet and said "no good, you must" .... again i said no thank you, just regular one she almost threw my foot back to water... here she started talking to her coworker in their language giggling and point out ... about 10 min later she was filing my heels and again said kinda making a disgusting face " no good, you want paraffin?" Don't get me wrong... doing pedicures is not everyones type of job.. and did not have disgusting feet! i do pedicures regularly and never "let it go" i have tried special pedicures and paraffin's and having scraping my feet for 4 longer minutes is not really worth it to me.... both times i did try a spa pedicure the scrub and the mask was placed on my legs not on my feet... and scrubbing my calfs is not really helping the smoothness of my heels ...regular pedicure works for me... After i refused to have a paraffin bath she couldn't rush faster to finish my treatment... and once she was done -quickly got up and pointed out to drying section and said 'you go dry there' and walked away... once i got to the drying section with my purse and shoes.... she approached me again and said "pay now" like i was bout to run i guess lol So what was supposed to be a relaxing experience was really annoying and not pleasant! not going back... and to add one more thing... i have done manicure there only once and regretted it every since... never done manicure there ever again.. even tho i was coming for pedi... for actually years... they don't care about their clients, they don't care about cleanliness, they don't care about quality... they are just located nicely so good traffic of people come thru... read more

I like the job they do on my nails. I don't like that they have Fox News Cable channel on. It's divisive and when someone wants to get their nails done do they need the news on or soothing music? I say quiet or soothing music! read more

I should have posted this months ago. I got my only professional (?) pedicure here last year when my sister took me and my mother here as a treat. My mother and I both got manicures and I was the only one who opted for a pedicure as well. I got a very nice pedicure and a very stubborn nail fungus as well. In my entire life I have never had a nail fungus UNTIL I got a pedicure here. I couldn't imagine ever getting such a thing but this nail salon delivered one right to me. I moved to Austin from NYC in October and have been searching for a great nail salon. I couldn't be happier with the service and offerings at Gorgeous Nails. In addition to gel polish, they also offer SNS which I like to do occasionally and is a nice alternative to gel. The technicians are so welcoming and friendly. This was my second visit. I went with my girlfriend and we both got pedicures and I got a manicure. We had a blast. The man and wife team worked on us (Tuan and Lauren). The took such good care of us and did a great job on our nails. We learned how to say Hello and Thank you in Vietnamese. (xin chao and cm n) and learned a lot about these lovely people. I think if anyone is unhappy with the service, that they should speak directly with Lauren or Tuan (Tony). They both are super intelligent and excellent business people. Very sweet staff but this was a very poor job. I wanted an SNS nail removal and just a regular manicure afterwards. The lady attending me thought I had on fake tips (it was my actual nail) so she cut down my nail really short, let my hands soak in acetone for 10 minutes and used that little drill machine to file my nails even more and cut me twice, both resulting in me bleeding.... Nail removal took an hour and 15 and I was the only customer. Sadly, they still didn't fully take off the gel layer from my nail so I have to go elsewhere to get it done.... I wouldn't recommend. read more

Got a gel manicure from this place and really disappointed in the quality of the gel. It did not even last a week before the edges started to peel up and come off. Usually a gel manicure will last at least 2 weeks, and after 2 weeks I have to soak my nails to get the polish off. I have never had it peel off like it did from this place. read more

Not only have I gotten great manicures and pedicures here, but the owners and employees are as sweet as can be. Very clean salon, lots of great colors, and my nails look and feel great. Elsewhere I've had those OK manicures that took forever and those quickies where you don't feel like you've gotten enough pampering. Gorgeous Nails hit the sweet spot. I came to this spot a lot when it was Tips and Toes and generally had a good experience, but when I stopped in today for a manicure I was surprised at the changes. I'd like to say good things, but truly, the place was dirty -- dusty machinery and bottles, debris on the floor, old wadded up towels on the stations -- and most of the people who worked there were sitting around looking at their phones without clients and not cleaning up. My nails were poorly shaped. I pointed out a few that could be evened out. I rarely get manicures, and I when I do it's so that my cuticles can be cleaned up and my nails nicely shaped. Didn't happen. Ultimately I left before the polish, paying but not tipping, and I don't plan to come back again. I don't think this business will survive -- it was mostly empty on a Saturday afternoon -- unless they up their service. Maybe the reviews will help them do so. read more

I have been going to this nail salon for a few months and was referred by friends and family. I will never go there again. I was there to get a lip and eyebrow wax along with a manicure. After my wax service I was asked to sit at one of the attendants chair. The lady took off my nail polish as she finished two men walked into the salon and asked for manicure. The lady working on my hands got up and went over to assist the men. Not a excuse me or an explanation, so after 5 min I got up to pay for my service. I called and asked to speak to the manager and was told the boss didn't come in until Sunday. The lady on the phone said the ladies didn't speak english, not sure why that matters. RUDE RUDE RUDE!! I will never go there again and will pass this on to the friends and family and people who will ask for a recommendation. I guess since they get more $$$ for a pedicure service , the customers getting a manicure gets ignored or better yet they just get up from their chair and service the I can get more $$$ customers. read more

The selection of beverages was amazing. The lighting was just right! The color selection is vast. Fast forward to recently, I felt the same way but I wish the ambient music was back.
