Over priced for very mediocre food. Major disappointment! Very bland overall. Would not return.

If you want cheap Chinese food in Gorham this place is it. The buffet is what you would expect from an American Chinese restaurant. Most of the food is catered to the western palate so not really authentic Chinese food but not bad if you've had your fill of pizza and burgers from the other places in town. We went at 8:00 pm and didn't find that the selection was that great. A lot of the food was picked over and they didn't really seem to be refilling anything. The wonton soup was a joke with NO wontons in the whole pot. I found this surprising as we visited in the middle of summer (peak season). I would suggest maybe going earlier. Perhaps the food will be fresher and more readily filled when needed. If you want takeout they give you a container and charge you by weight. It's more worth it if you eat in though. read more

I have been to three Chinese buffet and by far this was the best. All the items I tried, almost all of them were good.

Dirty ledges with dust, had a grungy feel to it. Minimal choices. Macaroni and cheese was watery, wonton soup had no wontons. Sad face.

Tried it again this fall. Same comments about the food - good quality and variety. We went on a Sunday and cost goes up $2 to $8.50 but I didn't notice any different items. So go on a workday. Still really good value. Three different soups! Yum! read more

Being an AT hiker, I've been to my share of buffets. This buffet was one of the best I've been to, it was clean, plentiful, and organized. The food was fresh and tasty, with a really nice variety of dishes. It's also a bargain. I enjoyed getting my fix of veggies and fruits along with tons of great fried, sautéed, and sauced dishes. I'm not usually a fan of seafood, but their garlic shrimp was too good to pass up. They also have a delicious BBQ meatball skewer that I don't remember having elsewhere. Honestly, for the price (approx. $7.5 per adult) for the lunch buffet is stellar. I went to the White Mountains for vacation from Ontario, Canada! Here, its impossible to find buffets for less than $20 dollars per person, even for crappy food. Being Chinese as well, I found the food comforting with a Chinese kick to it still going strong. However, don't have high expectations, it's AMAZING for the price, totally worth it, but if you want authentic Chinese food, you might have to pay a bit more. Nevertheless, if you're ever hungry looking for a quick bite (and I mean very quick, they're super efficient), PLEASE stop by here if you ever have the chance! I don't even know how they make a profit making their buffet so cheap while also serving pretty decent food! Definitely worth your money. read more

Been here many times simply because there aren't many options for a buffet in the area. Food is decent when its hot. There's a bit of a selection but not as much as you'd expect for the price. Don't eat the fortune cookies, 9 out of the last 10 visits, they've been stale. Still, if you aren't up for gormet it's not all bad. read more

As far as Chinese buffets go, this one is pretty good ( especially for being up in the north country). I have been a few times and the food has always been hot and fresh with a decent selection of dishes. Don't expect fancy, but it is a good deal. The restaurant could use some sprucing up, but it is clean and the staff is friendly. read more

Subpar place with subpar buffet selections. We came here on a Saturday night and it was empty. Which makes it all the more odd how poorly the buffet was kept up. Plenty of items had either scraps or just nothing in them, and they were never refilled in the time we were here. I gave my family the option of pizza or this place. This is a great place, especially for the food challenged great north woods. It's super clean, the food is fresh and very good, and the people working there are outstanding. The buffet selection is on the small side - but the food is way above average for Chinese food. I'm big on buffets because you control what you get, and it's a super fast and easy way to eat. And I have a new twist on it that is even better - "to go" by weight. I've been there several times when it was within 15 minutes of closing. Each time, a younger employee approached me at the buffet table and asked "can we cook you anything else?" The place is empty, I'm sure they're dying to get out of there, yet they are offering to make a fresh batch of something to keep me happy? Wow! Of course, I declined both times as there was still plenty to choose from. Back to "to go". You're in hurry, and need a bargain meal. The prices here are low to begin with. You grab a "to go" container by the door and head for the buffet. My last experience - I start with some fresh steamed broccoli florets(4 big ones), and then go the the General's chicken. I take the big spoon and lather General's sauce over the broccoli and put some in another section for dipping the fried dumplings into(or anything else!). I skip the General's chicken because at most places, it's too chewing and pasty - but the sauce is perfect. I get some grilled onions and peppers(with out the beef) for more veggies. I get 4 fried dumplings(which dip nicely into the General's sauce), the some fresh garlic string beans, fired shrimp, a couple of chicken fingers, and some pork strips(some of the tastiest, tender ones I've ever had!). I head to the cashier, a very pleasant and helpful teenage girl named Dawn, to weigh my meal. It comes to $5.61 with tax. Hello, Anybody home?? It's usually just over or under $5 when I get it to go by weight - a fantastic deal! Do not even consider going down the street to McDonald's - it is the slowest, worst run McDonald's I have ever seen anywhere, and I like McDonald's sometimes for some things. In conclusion, Gorham Dynasty Buffet is a real find in the North Woods. With the "New" Berlin starting to blossom, and more people arriving to cash in on the coming boom, this place is poised to do very well. The food is exceptional, and the people are working there are wonderful. All the makings for a truly "happy meal"! read more

Pleasant surprise. My family wanted a cheap, good dinner near Mt. Washington. Yelp directed us to this place. Chinese buffets can be sketchy but we found the food to be fresh. Had a stop here with friends this past Friday while on a road trip leaving Maine. Having been to Gorham a few times before but not having been here since 2010, I discovered the Gorham Dynasty Buffet while driving through town - not recalling it from the past visits. Craving a good Chinese Buffet, a stop was mandatory and thusly ensued. The price was about average to what I would expect for a buffet. Food selection was modest compared to most others of its ilk I have dined at in larger metro areas but everything was tasty and service was prompt. The winning prospect as far as I am concerned was their offering of Peanut Chicken, a dish that seems to be rare in the myriad of buffets I've ate at. Outstanding. read more

We were staying in Jackson and had gone to Santa's Village for the day. We were driving back to Jackson and stopped for dinner not expecting to have great Chinese but we were very pleasantly surprised. This buffet was awesome. Filled with the usual Chinese staples but also stuffed muscle shells, salmon and shrimp all for $10.26 for adults and $5.65 for children. These prices and the food are phenomenal. They jump the price up $1 on the weekends but still a good deal for the fresh tasty food. read more

Went here while on vacation. Everything was tasty, people were friendly, and the bill wasn't too bad.

You know a place is going to be good when there are five parties waiting to get in before a restaurant opens! We got there right at 11:00 AM after a car service appointment at Berlin City. We were greeted in a friendly manner. All of the food wasn't quite ready when we were first seated, but the buffet was filled within five minutes. All the food was fresh and delicious. It was standard Chinese buffet fare, but there was a good variety with a few surprised, like baked seafood pasta and BBQ meatballs. The price for lunch was reasonable, too.
