This was our first time shopping at Men's Wearhouse, and unfortunately it was a disappointing…read moreexperience from beginning to end. We purchased four dress shirts and were told they were all the same style, just different colors. We came back the next day to have them tailored, but no one greeted us and we waited quite a while before anyone helped us. Even after the tailor was notified, he initially walked past us to help someone else. When he finally came over, he insisted the shirt fit perfectly until we pointed out it was too loose. He quickly pinned it, and although my husband expressed concern that it felt too tight, we were assured it would be fine. When we returned to pick up the shirts, they were, in fact, too tight. The buttons pulled when my husband sat down, yet we were made to feel like it was our responsibility because we had "approved" the alterations. The tailor eventually admitted they were too tight, but there wasn't much fabric left to fix them. We also discovered the blue shirt fit differently around the collar, despite originally being told all the shirts were the same style. After another round of alterations, the shirts were still tighter than they should have been. Throughout every visit, customer service was consistently slow, we spent long periods waiting for assistance, and no one seemed interested in helping. To make matters worse, the tailor even made a comment implying my husband should lose weight, which was inappropriate and especially frustrating considering he's already very slim. We spent several hundred dollars and left feeling unheard and stuck with shirts that never fit correctly. We expected professional tailoring and good customer service, but unfortunately received neither. We won't be returning, and I hope this review helps others make an informed decision before spending their money here.

He means well I am sure, but he comes off almost like a con artist with not answering what is being asked, and going around the question. He can be professional... yet unprofessional in my case, and I do feel a certain way with how this gentleman handles his business. He withheld my property for over 7 months without giving me an update on anything. I came to this man on November 27, 2017 to take in my wedding dress which I bought used, so it was slightly loose on me. He never gave me a set date on when he would finish the dress, but told me he has a wedding for May, and then prom season, so he will not start on my dress right away. That already sounded discouraging, however I trusted that he would work on it but by bit, to get my dress finished sooner than anticipated. I was needing it by at least March for a photo shoot. Every month or two I would call to ask for an update and he assured me that it was in good hands, however I never asked if it was safe. I asked for an UPDATE. I also had a photo shoot scheduled for March 23, 2018. I informed Mr. Santos, however he convinced me that he would not be done in time due to prom season. Prom season or not, had I told him my wedding was in March, April, or May, he would have met my deadline. He continued to go in circles with me and I was so sick of it. Come the month of May and I am getting anxious and frustrated with this man. Gave him a call and he states the same things he's said before! "I had other brides and I just finished with prom season. Some girls did not even pick up their gowns!" Well maybe if you did not take so long, nor gave people the runaround, people would have taken you more seriously. I decided enough was enough, and came in for a surprise visit after 3 days of just speaking to him for an update. Actually I called him to tell him I would rather get a refund for the deposit I put down, and taking it to someone else to meet my needs faster! He refused to give me my dress and said he would do as promised. He asked to give him until the end of July. HELL NO! I had to lie and said my photo shoot was scheduled for end of June in order to get my dress ASAP. Surprised him one morning as he opened shop. He kinda jumped up and told me my dress is currently being worked on. I said okay, I would like to see it. Walked into the room, and there it was... JUST STARTED TO BE WORKED ON AFTER SPEAKING VIA PHONE 3 days ago. Tell me... WTF HAVE YOU BEEN DOING FOR THE PAST 7 MONTHS WITH MY DRESS?! I COULD HAVE TAKEN IT TO ANY REPUTABLE ALTERATIONS PERSON AND GOT IT DONE FASTER & CHEAPER! June 21, 2018: I finally get to pick up my damn dress. This guy quoted me $850 initially, and requested another $100 due to the "extensive" work he has done. The only f-ing extensive work he's done is getting it done in less than 2 weeks because I threaten to take my dress back, also calling the credit card company due to not meeting service of request. Even the credit card company stated 7 months is just too damn long! In total, he charged me $920 for the work of taking in my dress, and cleaning up the mermaid bottom tule (finding the bustles). Honestly I could have taken my dress to a different person for cheaper and the same type of work. I still have freaking clothes pins hanging from the bottoms tules. This man can talk your ear off and become so repetitive with everything he states. I honestly just wanted to kill myself in his presence. JUST GIVE ME MY DAMN DRESS ALREADY! Con artist who over charges and withheld my property for over 7 months! I can honestly say, WOULD NOT EVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE! STAY THE HELL AWAY!

They redid my skirt three times until I got what I wanted. They also redid the fit at the top when I pointed out that the lace was puckered from the way it fit on my chest. I paid $650 for a custom made wedding dress- the original quoted price was $600. I was satisfied with this price despite being a little more in the end. He also tailored one of my work suits perfectly but the price was also more in the end than what he had quoted. I am giving 4 stars out of 5 because there were times that I felt that he could really use a secretary to manage appointments and phone calls, and the changes in price were not explained until he was finished with the garments. It's on the customer to be direct with him about cost and appointments as he may change these or forget them all together but his quality of work is very, very good.

I can only conclude that he doesn't care about the quality his business provides. When I reservedly told him dusting and vacuuming were not done well, his response was 'the ladies reported that you stepped on mopped floor'.... What does that have to do with their poor performance? And the 'mopped floor' they were referring to was our foyer area that they mopped as they were leaving so of course I have to step on it to close the door after them. I tried to be considerate with small and big issues; even when he put me in a bad situation two months ago by failing to keep the schedule and not showing up. It's upsetting to end with such disappointment. If anyone close to me asks, I don't recommend this company. Their fee is not worth their performance nor customer service by the owner.

Recently I had a friend ask me if I had any recommendations on good honest cleaners. I told her to go to Gorman Uniform Service. Last year, when Harvey hit, my daughter's Prom dress became a bit ruined/wet from the bottom. My daughter was devastated and thought that she had lost such a beautiful dress that held such wonderful memories of her high school Senior Prom 2017. Not to mention, it cost me $600 when I bought it from the department store!! I immediately took the dress to Gorman's Uniform Service and Randy was quick to dry clean and press my daughters dress and saved the day!! The dress was impeccable!! As if it were new and had come off the store rack!! It was carefully dry cleaned and pressed and placed in a storage box to preserve the dress. I'm so happy that thanks to my friend asking me about recommendations for a cleaning service, I was reminded of the service they provided me last year. When I buy shoes, I take them in for protective soles before I wear them. After the mess I dealt with concerning a shoe "repair" store off Kirby where they drew on my brand new cream Gucci pumps with a blue ballpoint pen and didn't even mention it to me at pick up (did they think I wouldn't notice?), I delayed getting my shoes fixed until I could find a place I could trust. But a girl can only delay her shoe fixes for so long. I called three different shoe hospitals at 5 different locations (some of them are franchises) before deciding to come here. This has got to be one of the worst run businesses I've ever experienced!!! If I could give ZERO…read morestars, I would! PLEASE do not waste your time dealing with these extremely unprofessional people and please don't waste your hard earned money here either!!! I came in a week ago to simply get a copy of my car key cut to the new remote, which I had just bought elsewhere. The guy who cut the key charged me $50 for the new car key. I paid it and walked to my car to try it, but it didn't work to turn the ignition. I went back inside to tell him and he came out to try it himself, but it still did not work. He went back in to "re-cut" it, tried it again, and again after that, but it never did work. He told me that he would just put my old working key on my new remote and get me on my way. He did that AND KEPT THE FAULTY KEY. I asked for a refund for the key that he cut, which didn't work, and therefore could not be used, SO HE KEPT IT. He told me that he wasn't authorized to give refunds, but that I could come back any other day and that the manager would be able to help me with that. So I came in today, with my 2-month-old daughter in hand, for what I thought would be a quick and easy refund exchange, but instead was met with the MOST hassle that I have ever had to deal with from ANY business in order to get my money back. I walked in and explained my situation to the owner/manager and he straight up told me, "No, you don't get a refund for that. He went through the trouble to cut the key for you, didn't he?" I explained again that the key, which is what I paid for, didn't work, and ultimately WAS NOT GIVEN TO ME, so I would like my money back for that. He had the audacity to deny my refund, claiming that they did me a favor by swapping MY old key into MY remote. As if that's what I paid $50 for! He called the guy who originally cut the key and asked him about it. I'm not sure what the guy told him over the phone, but the owner laughed and said "No, I'm not doing that. I'll take care of it" Then he walked me outside and tried to tell me how I wouldn't be getting a refund for the key because the guy did me a favor by swapping my old key into my remote! I told him that I did not ask him to do that, nor is that what I paid $50 for, and THEY kept the faulty key! He told me it was still time spent and at best he could give me "half of my money back". HALF! As if that is an acceptable resolution for selling me defective product that I never received. I told him, no, that I wanted my full refund for the key I paid for that didn't work and I never received. I told him all the guy did for me was swap MY original key onto MY new remote, which I could've done myself. To that he said "Well, why didn't you?" I told him because he offered and didn't say anything about charging me, because if he had, I would've told him no. He told me "Half. Take it or leave it." I told him that I'm not leaving without my money back, and to that he told me, "Well, how about, just to get your ass outta here, I just take the key off, give you your money back, and you can put it on yourself!" I immediately told him to do it because I'm not paying $25 for anything that I can easily do myself and IS NOT what I was charged for in the first place. This whole exchange took place outside, in the cold, for about 30 minutes, while I was holding my two-month-old daughter in my arms, wrapped in a blanket, and this unprofessional, rude, and heartless manager couldn't care less about her wellbeing or helping me resolve the situation, when HIS BUSINESS was holding onto money I was charged for faulty merchandise that was ultimately not even given to me. I honestly can't believe that a business can operate with such blatant disregard for its customers, but I truly hope that this establishment doesn't last much longer, so they can't continue to scam, intimidate, or mistreat other people in the surrounding community. This place is a disgrace!
