This was our first time shopping at Men's Wearhouse, and unfortunately it was a disappointing experience from beginning to end. We purchased four dress shirts and were told they were all the same style, just different colors. We came back the next day to have them tailored, but no one greeted us and we waited quite a while before anyone helped us. Even after the tailor was notified, he initially walked past us to help someone else. When he finally came over, he insisted the shirt fit perfectly until we pointed out it was too loose. He quickly pinned it, and although my husband expressed concern that it felt too tight, we were assured it would be fine. When we returned to pick up the shirts, they were, in fact, too tight. The buttons pulled when my husband sat down, yet we were made to feel like it was our responsibility because we had "approved" the alterations. The tailor eventually admitted they were too tight, but there wasn't much fabric left to fix them. We also discovered the blue shirt fit differently around the collar, despite originally being told all the shirts were the same style. After another round of alterations, the shirts were still tighter than they should have been. Throughout every visit, customer service was consistently slow, we spent long periods waiting for assistance, and no one seemed interested in helping. To make matters worse, the tailor even made a comment implying my husband should lose weight, which was inappropriate and especially frustrating considering he's already very slim. We spent several hundred dollars and left feeling unheard and stuck with shirts that never fit correctly. We expected professional tailoring and good customer service, but unfortunately received neither. We won't be returning, and I hope this review helps others make an informed decision before spending their money here. read more

The store is a mess, and all of the high end treatment is gone! Now it's pretty much a discount clothing retailer. There is no customer service, no real high end handling, no follow up calls that your clothes are ready, and the pick up time for alterations is over two weeks! My fiance and I came here to look for suits for both him and his groomsmen for our wedding. To be fair, this review isn't a reflection of all men's warehouse stores. I was highly appalled by the lack of customer service at this location, mainly from the lady sitting in the back desk. The gentleman that was helping us was great. We did have to wait a while to be helped out although there was one other customer there and 3 workers on the floor. According to the lady we were taking too long deciding on the suits [45 mins for 8 men... plus the 15-20 mins they made us wait around for]. The gentleman helping us was supposed to be on lunch break? The lady kept harping on about it out loud to make sure we heard, making it a very uncomfortable experience. I've worked retail before, this just sounds like lack of organization and professionalism rather than it being the customers fault. The guy was not complaining about it but the lady was while helping another customer out. I don't know who trained her, but if you're the owner of this business and you're reading this review- something needs to change. She was rude and outspoken. I'm sure there's plenty of new hires that are willing to be her replacement if she's that resentful about her job. read more

Was told I couldn't try on a shirt because it was "company policy." I came in looking for a tuxedo shirt, and found one in my size. I'm well aware of my shirt size, but wanted to make sure the fit of this brand worked. Never been treated so rudely by MW's staff, specifically the manager. I've always had a great experience with MW, at least until I visited the Westheimer location. The manager did give me a different shirt from the sales rack to try on, which was not my size but was "close enough." I eventually went up to the register, contemplating if I should buy it, and asked the staff what the policy was saying I couldn't try something on. She said it was her first day so she could ask the manager. I saw the managers reaction, and the other staff member came to inform me I COULD try it on...when I walked back I asked to understand why I wasn't initially allowed to try the shirt on. I was given runaround answers about she wanted to show me the fit first. I said I'm not talking about that, I'm asking why did she say there was a company policy saying I couldn't try a shirt on and now I can. No accountability. Was told "I'm telling you, you can try it on now." Long story short, the staff here is terrible and this manager is extremely unprofessional. Go to MW, but avoid this location. read more

Pretty terrible customer service - didn't have very many choices, texted that clothing ordered was ready and then made we wait an hour to get it cause they couldn't find it. Were rude about it with a - "we. Know. It. Was. Supposed. To . Be. here. but we can't find it " with no regret at all. Then when one found it another asked me when checking out " where was it " :) Of course, I would know where to look in your store :). I think my time was worth more than the suit ordered unfortunately. My advice, look online, order in advance, get it altered. You'll get better fit and higher quality without the hassle of this store... needless to say, I will take my own advice next time and not step into this store! When I walked in I almost immediately felt unwelcome. I told the lady that I was look for two weeding suits for myself and my fiancé. As soon as I told her this she immediately made everything awkward, she kept referring to my fiancé as my "friend" which I corrected her multiple times but I guess she just ignored that as she persisted. If you have such a problem with two men getting married then maybe working in a business that sells suits for events such as weddings isn't for you. They didn't fit so they altered the suits which made the fit even worse. I've been to multiple MW locations and have never been disrespected like this before until now. Lack of communication and an inability to keep your personal opinions from impacting customer service standards. Just an absolute horrible experience. read more

This is, by far, the worst Men's Warehouse I've ever used. Charles is WAY understaffed. The woman in the back has a horrendous attitude, for no apparent reason other than they're understaffed. And it wasn't a single session where she was rude. It was every time. I pre paid for pants that came in late. They did not call to let me know they arrived. I have a wedding to go to and they really pushed it to the line. When I received the pants I realize that the legs weren't hemmed. The pants were too large (not the size I paid for). And they didn't have the alterations I asked and paid for so I had to go next-door to the alteration place and have them help me and they did a way better, more efficiently timed job. I understand that this location has high traffic, but put a now hiring sign on the window because they desperately need it. read more

The people who work here are nice folks. But they absolutely need to hire more people. There's like 5 people working but only one works at the register, and I came in for 2 dress shirts, waited in line for 30 mins. I left and came back to wait in line for another 10 mins. I really couldn't believe the caliber of service we received. I wanted my fiance to have an upscale experience suit shopping. I wanted customer service that would make him feel special. I was concerned about going to a chain location. I'll never encourage him to go anywhere else. When he went in he was quickly greeted, and told the sales person the style he was looking for. That sales knew that Rick would be better fit for helping him achieve that style. Impressive - the original guy put the customer's needs above his own pay (assuming there's commission). Can't thank these guys enough. When I was getting fitted I was told my size was a 33 but I insisted on a 32 since I always bought a 32 pants/jeans. Surely when the tuxedo came in I was too fat for it and the wedding was supposed to be the next day. They went above and beyond with a friendly tone to get me a new pair of pants that fits me. Surefooted like a snail the Chevy Aveo stuck to the rain soaked thoroughfare known as Westheimer. It was being driven by one of the most advanced wet road drivers the world has ever known. We had to get to the Mens Wearhouse, I had been chosen to be a groomsman in a wedding and I waited until the day of to pick up my monkey suit. As we walked into the MW we were greeted by a young gentlemen with slobber encased braces. A very chipper young sales associate who is destined for upper management of this location. He was a little disappointed in my tardiness in picking up my tux, since it was the day of the wedding and sometimes things don't fit right. Like a tuxedo ever fits right. I usually can fit two legs in one pant leg and this tux was no exception. I guess the slim fitting trend hasn't or never will make it to the tuxedo rental market. As we walked to the register, he asked if I was going to watch the Indy 500, I replied that I didn't even know it was on and then asked where it was being held this year. He looked at me like an idiot. Stupid question I know, but I don't care about car racing. Sorry, I prefer real sports. You know the ones that require skill. As I paid $150.00 for some suit that I was going to wear once, slobber braces informed me that we were standing in the very first Mens Wearhouse. As I tried to quell my boner, he also informed me George Zimman still comes in and his voice is as intoxicating in person as it is on TV. The only thing that could be grosser than that statement would be watching my sales associate pick his lunch out of his braces. read more

I went in with my grooms me told the guy exactly what I was looking for even provided him with numbers that I had pulled of the net. I wanted a nice chocolate brown suit with pinstripes that was under 160.. Easy enough rite? Nope he brings me a charcoal suit with brown pinstripes that was 799.00!!! REALLY? I said may be you dont understand I need something for under 160.. So he shows me a black suit and says o no it brown after I told him it wasn't and he wanted to ague with me the BRIDE!!! I had a Men's Warehouse credit account which I paid off with cash from my wedding gifts a few days before I planned to go out of town on my honeymoon. I intended to buy about $2,000 of new clothes for my trip. However, after spending 3 hours selecting and fitting the clothes, my credit account was not available to charge on because of Policy - apparently because I just paid off the account there was a hold on new purchases. This makes no sense as I paid the account with cash. I'll never buy anything from the Men's Warehouse ever again. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. On one hand, they have high quality shirts for good prices if you hit them up on some of their sales. On the other, I've had issues with service. Every time I come in here, I'm dissuaded from trying on more than one of their dress shirts. I try one on, and they tell me forcefully "you don't need to try the others on, they'll fit". I believe this happens so they don't have to retold the shirts. Twice, I've been burned and had a shirt not fit, but not noticed until after the return period expires or I lost the tags. So I'm stuck with shirts from here that don't fit because they won't let you try them on in the store. The lesson here is make sure you try them on and return them. But I shouldn't have to return them in the first place, if I had been able to try them on. Torn on if I'll come here again. There is no one size fits all in the clothing world. Customers should be able to try on every piece they're buying. read more

My husband just returned from your store after purchasing an expensive suit for a wedding. He was impressed with the help he received in the suit selection as well as the expert tailoring. We were both impressed until it was time to leave the premises. He noticed that everyone who left your establishment with a suit was given a garment bag for their purchase. Unfortunately for him when he left, he looked like he had just picked up his dry cleaning. No garment bag, just plastic dry-cleaning bag. He would never complain about anything, but I talk back. I would never accuse you of having ill will towards the Black community, but it was apparent that the only Black man in the store did not receive the same level of service as his white counterparts which is sad. Please know that we will never darken your door again and spend our hard-earned dollars. Also know, that everyone we know will know about this and hopefully will follow suit. Rent a 2 suits for a wedding was NEVER told a return date or return instructions. Turns out you're just supposed to magically know this. When I returned them the guy at the counter said "your suits are 3 days late so it's $173 late fee" I proceeded to say I was never told a yo about this he then proceeded to pop and attitude and say "sir we tell everyone about this policy" obviously not the case. Lost $173 which I would have been fine with if I would have been told prior. I will NEVER get another article of clothing from this place buy/or rent as the suit it did rent was $250 for a cheap nasty smelling POC. For the love of god do not go here. read more

I tried this location after having a horrible experience at their Fry location, I was assured the same thing wouldn't happen here. Boy was I wrong! Most incompetent staff I have ever dealt with. Took 8 trips to finally get my 4 suits tailored and ordered correctly. Countless headaches... the manager appears to be on drugs and the rest of the staff could care less if you are there. It's like herding cats to get them to even help you out for more than 5 min before disappearing somewhere. This has been the worst experience I have had with them. I and my two groomsman came in 5 weeks ago to get fitted for suits and here we are, 3 days before the wedding, and still waiting for a suit for one and a shirt for another. The have had to tailor the shirts twice because they wrote down the wrong neck size. They forgot a pair of shoes. They forgot a belt. When discussing my timeframe after being annoyed they thought I still had over a week. Obviously, they have not listened or addressed my concerns. I have purchased suits many times here before and never had an issue. I cannot believe that the one thing they do is tailor suits and they cannot get it right. If I had time, I would return everything and start fresh somewhere else. I can assure you my business will be elsewhere from here on out. read more

Salespeople are very friendly and knowledgeable, but at the end of the day that can only take you so far with outdated and limited selections. The good news is that if you bought a suit there a few years ago and want that same suit again you can most likely still find it. Would recommend their alteration services as superior to most on suits and are great at fixing some really difficult tears (think shredded without any fabric recognizable and returned good as new!). However beware the weekends here - it is overrun by spillover from the Galleria that drags away attention of the salespeople as they must greet all even if you are in middle of being sized or closed out for your purchase. read more

My boyfriend and I had a discussion about how we've come to expect places like Men's Warehouse and David's Bridal to screw things up...and unfortunately we were right again. My boyfriend's in a wedding, ordered a tux, and they wrote down the measurements wrong. Really wrong. The jacket and shirt barely went halfway down his arms. SO, they had to reorder and we had to make another trip over to pick up the (hopefully) correct tux. We were/are good natured about it (we told the staff we understood...and we do), but it's annoying. Competency can't be overrated. It seems like every time I order something from Men's Warehouse or David's Bridal it goes wrong somehow. The employees are super friendly (which CAN'T be said for the Galleria area David's Bridal). I wouldn't say not to go here, but I would advise going in with a patient mindset and plenty of time before you need the item (just in case something goes wrong). read more

I got the full attention of the salesman during the entire process (vest, pants, shirt, cuff links), and they were able to adjust the pants in 30 minutes, before the store closes. When we initially got there, they did not have what my son was looking for, but the absolutely wonderful, Osha, offered to put something together to see if my son would like it. My son loved it! We went to the Men's Wearhouse to look at tuxes for a formal event coming up. We go in and on display are jeans and rocker shirts you see guys flaunting at some of the clubs. That was surprising. Since when did Mens wearhouse carrying casual wear. They even had the boots which was interesting. We go in further towards the back for the tux and dressing room section. Scuzzi sir, we'd like to look at your tuxes. The guy hands us a big binder and dig through. Guy comes back and checks on us and we ask if we can try on a couple to find out how they look on us. Sorry sir, we don't have any? What?!? Lesson of the day, tuxedos are a catalogue business here now and we just pick something out of the catalogue and hope it fits when it gets there. No tux jackets to try on and apparently its like that at every other mens wearhouse location for tux rentals. How are you supposed to know how the tux will look when its on.. much less if you will like it or deterine if it needs alterations? Thats definitely new. Lesson learned and we left. read more

The customer service at this location is horrendous. My husband and I came in looking for a blazer and dress shirt. No one ever acknowledged us, I even went up to the register and asked for a tape measure to get the measurements of my husband. Returned the tape and thanked him for allowing me to borrow his measure, continued on found a jacket. Headed over to the dress shirts and was indecisive about how I measured my husband walked back to the register and asked if you could help me. After he finished with the customer he walked over and I asked him about the difference sizes and how I measured my husband. He proceeds to tell me that I measured him all wrong, WELL DUH ISNT IT YOUR JOB! I just kindly laughed it off and continued on with my purchase. We then needed alterations, alterations were to be completed today 04/28/21 at 7pm. I had been calling for the last 4 days to confirm they were going to be ready and each person stated yes they would be ready. I called today 04/28/21 @ 558pm and the gentleman that answered stated my items were ready. I arrive to the location and again nobody acknowledged me or gave me any directions. A man walks out still doesn't greet anyone and states oh who's next, hands the gentlemen on the left of me a form to fill out. As he hands them the form I state I have a pick up give my name and he's like I just spoke with you and I said you sure did. He comes back out and states the shirt is not ready. The shirt still has about 45min to 1 hour, I am beyond upset at this point. read more
