I am a bit sad about having to post a "not so stellar" review of Southern Lawn & Equipment (SLE)…read morebut folks need to know. I purchased my lawn mower along with two other pieces of lawn equipment, the sales team and up till now the service department were stellar. I get my mower serviced here every winter so I am ready for the summer mowing season. It seems their attention to detail and customer service are sorely lacking. Last year when I had my mower serviced the service was poor, but I chalked it up to one of those moments in life. This year...take the same mower in for service and explain to the man taking in the mower I needed a spring on the handle replaced, even showing him on one of their new mowers which spring needed replacing. He documented everything and I asked him to have someone call me with an estimate for the spring replacement. No call so I follow up and they tell me it's ready, I ask about the spring and was told everything was taken care of. I go to pick up the mower...repair to the spring not done. Seems they "repaired" the wrong spring, and that I would need to leave it longer to get the correct spring repaired and it should only take a day. Leave the mower and no call for a couple of days so I call and am asked for my information and they would call me back. No return call...so I call again and same story they are busy and to leave my information and they would call me back. They did call me and the mower was ready, I picked it up and now everything seems to be fixed and serviced. I'm writing this not to slam SLE...but to let them know their communications and customer service in my last two experiences with them have been sub-standard.
