Boyfriend and I stumbled upon them and saw this pretty white mutt and both went "we like her!". Danielle and he team encouraged us to play with the dogs and get to know them. We have been wanting a dog but were apprehensive because we have two older cats. Danielle told us about the foster to adopt program she has where you can take the dog for a bit and see I'd they are a good fit. Our dogs name was Cupcake because that's what danielle and her team named her when they rescued her. Anyway we brought puppy home and she she fit right in. She was intrigued by the cats but not very aggressive. She was a good girl. Danielle said she was up to date on her shots and everything including being spayed. After a week we told Danielle that we wanted to keep the dog and that we renamed her Milly. We were in love and Danielle was extremely happy. This is how awesome Danielle and her team are: they actually didn't have room to rescue Milly, but because she was so sweet and Danielle knew she would make someone very happy, she took her in anyway. Danielle is so passionate about her work and she enjoys it so much. Please adopt! These animals just want to be loved and need a little TLC and patience. We adopted two dogs from Mini Mighty Mutts. Both dogs we love very much. They had some medical…read moreissues that the rescue handled before adoption. Considering that, plus they were both spayed and neutered, had their shots, and microchipped, the adoption fee is very reasonable. Also they did a home visit to make sure the dogs got along with our other dogs and cats. So much better than just bringing a dog home only to find out it hates cats or is not housetrained! The whole group has been helpful when we had training questions. One of he best small dog rescues in Arizona.

It was basically 90% puppies and 10% yoga, but honestly, the puppies stole the show. My kids begged to take one home (we didn't), but we all had so much fun snuggling, playing, and forgetting about everything else for a bit. We adopted a dog from them a couple weeks ago and everyone was so nice when we came in to meet him!…read moreI guess the dog we picked was a favorite and it really showed because everyone wanted to come say bye to him and was so excited he was getting a forever home and he was so excited when they came out which really shows how well they treated him. You can tell how much they care about the dogs they have there!! They also wanted updates on him and how he was settling in and it was just all around an awesome experience and we absolutely LOVE our new dog!! He is such a sweetie pie and exactly how they described him. I got a like 8 page meticulous medical report on him and his health because he was part of a group of dogs they got from an overcrowded home and quite a few were sick when they got them. It was such a great experience and when we are ready to get another dog, we will absolutely be back! Couldn't recommend this rescue more!!!

My experience adopting a 9 or old shih-tzu has soured me on evercadopting another pet. I later…read morelearned just shortly after adopting her for $400 that she was actually much older than nine years. Two vets estimated her age to be 12 to 14 years old. We found out she couldn't see much at all. Thiscrescue had to know this information already. There was no mention at all about her health. I believe the foster knew too. The foster told us she felt this shih-tzu was much older!! Bottom line, I would not have adopted her if I knew she was much older than nine. $400 to get her at the end of her life. Sad. I love dogs and am giving her the best end of life years I can. But this experience with AZ small dog rescue was like a switch and bait, thought I was adopting a 9 or old with some decent years left. Instead, she is much older, blind and not healthy. These rescue places need to be more honest in their advertising.
