Kitchen Cabinet Outlet - KCO has provided us with many good quality vanities in many colors.

"There was long ones, tall ones, short ones, brown ones…read moreBlack ones, round ones, big ones, crazy ones" (Spill the Wine - by Eric Burdon and War) They sure do have room for all of those cabinets, I mean after all, their showroom is a cavernous 9,000 square feet big. They have over 125 samples of kitchen and bath vanities on display, and that's pretty darned impressive. We are remodeling our bathrooms and placed orders to replace the vanities in the first two. Each bathroom followed the same process -first we met with a designer and gave them an idea of what we were looking for- size, style, finish, hardware, etc. Then they gave us a few pricing options before we returned a second time to place our order. The cabinets aren't in stock, they get delivered to their warehouse in Waterbury, and that takes a few weeks. Once they are in, you can either pick them up at the warehouse or get them at the Southington store if you want to. If your vehicle isn't big enough, they can deliver for a charge. We were able to fit the vanity and counter box into our vehicle, but the warehouse guy opened up both boxes first so we could carefully examine everything before we drove away. For our first purchase, we worked with Tom who was so helpful and knowledgeable. He made the transaction quite pleasant. We picked up our vanity and countertop today (they look great) and will have them installed by our plumber in a few days. We paid around $450 for a gorgeous vanity and countertop in colors and styles that perfectly complement our newly renovated bathroom and move it from the 1970's into the 21st century. Could we have gone cheaper at a different store? Probably. But could we have received the same wide spectrum of products, level of amazing customer service, undivided attention, and expert advice and guidance that Tom gave us? No way. Vanity #2 has been ordered and we will order #3 down the road.

Impressed!!! This…read morelocation is a complete 360 degree difference than the Wallingford location (see my review on that store if you like). I am remodeling my bathroom and so close to being finished. Last touches were paint. My uncle is a professional painter, and only buys SW products. We were told what to buy, but like anybody who doesn't paint for a living- what do I REALLY know about paint? The store was clean and the wonderful girl assisted me as soon as I walked in. She was welcoming and polite. She immediately started to answer all questions I had about the paint, and even told me the better one to buy that is specifically better for bathrooms (due to steam, washable, etc). I was impressed by her knowledge of the products in which she sold. This was not the first time I had gone to this store and had her help me. She has previous (about a year ago) helped me pick out some spraypaint that I needed for an outside light fixture. I really was a happy customer of this store. I am glad to see a woman in this field too- very cool. I also appreciated the %30 discount she applied to my bill (current promotion, that I didn't have a coupon for) in which saved me over $30 bucks! Brought my bill down from 80 to $50 for a really nice color blue. I am happy with how exact the color was to the sample, and it came out beautifully. I will only go to this store for my painting needs. SW should keep her around - maybe promote her?!!!

To whom it may concern: If you are looking for custom made…read morecabinetry and/or other (wood) custom made items, one might consider Martin Cabinet company in Plainville, Ct.    Don't outsmart yourself and think because Martin's is a custom cabinet company, that their prices will be too high.  On the contrary, Martin's was even less than "Big Box" stores.  Don't forget they also do the install. Although I am not a licensed builder/general contractor (GC), my wife and I GCed our first home in 1984-'85 a 2700+ sq' colonial.  Martin's was given the bid to complete everything from kitchen, family room, bathrooms, laundry room and Steve was our customer service rep who orchestrated everything.  Martin's did a stellar job from design, construction, to finish and installation. Fast forward, my wife and I again decided to GC our final home in 2025- '26: a 2200+ sq' ranch.  Again, we contacted Martin Cabinet.  Of course, by now Steve had retired, only to be replaced by others.  My wife and I hooked-up with Tony Reklaitis, who I believe has been with Martins 30+ years, and in many facets of the business. Tony had to be even more particular than Steve.  This ranch had more moving parts than the colonial.  Beautiful cabinetry done in the two full baths and family room.  The kitchen however, had a wider than average cook-top and an over the cook-top exhaust fan.  The kitchen also has two stacked independent ovens, separate walk-in pantry and also an island.  Adjacent to the kitchen is a laundry room, also with custom cabinetry and granite countertops.  Tony's communication was outstanding and the products delivered were "spot-on."  Tony was always there for a phone call.  If Tony did not answer, Carol took our calls and relayed it to Tony, and a callback was received that day. During the install I remember Andrew, Doug, Eric and Glen being so very meticulous.  For example: because there was going to be a tiled backsplash between the granite countertops and the bottom of the upper cabinets, I wanted nothing other than a full tile or a full-half tile.  This took precise measurements using some granite counter-top samples, in order to set the upper cabinets to the exact distance above the projected finished countertops.  Of course, our tile contractor just loved this!!!  I look at that tile job every day---just beautiful. Now "pencils are on erasers, because everyone makes mistakes."  Even when you GC your build, mistakes can and do happen.  In Martin's case, one mistake happened.  Tony and others jumped on it immediately, corrected it and with an apology.    And, it never interfered with our build schedule because they worked around it and quickly.  Our nephew who is a "wood-working" hobbyist, was so impressed with Martin's, that he also retained their services as he was in the midst of remodeling his kitchen. Feel free to call me at 860-798-5749 if you want more detailed information. Sincerely, Gary Gallo
