I normally love this place but I ordered a pizza and mozzarella sticks well before my pick up time of Father's Day. They were extremely busy when I went in to pick up so I waited a while and I didn't mind that. What I did mind was getting a completely wrong pizza and cold barely cooked mozzarella sticks. Horrible experience and zero response to my complaint. I live 30 minutes away so I wasn't about to return to get the right pizza but I did contact them (or tried to) with zero response. If very thin crust is what you like then Gourmet Pizza Corporation might just be your go-to pizzeria. To be honest I'm surprised I haven't heard others mention or recommend this pizza before. Theirs might be the thinnest I've had in Aurora and while it isn't really my thing it was still a decent tavern style with quality ingredients. I ordered a small 12" with my usual toppings of sausage, mushrooms and giardineira. I like the sausage and giardineira they use but there could have been more mushrooms or maybe a little meatier cut would have been better. Their sauce also tastes pretty good. I prefer a tangier sauce but I like that it's not sweet. The pizza cost about $17 and ordering process was easy and fast using their online ordering system but there was a $3.50 charge for using that so I'll probably just call in next time. Pizza was ready in 30 mins. Interior was clean but not lots of seating options unless you're just having a slice or a sandwich. Staff members were very friendly when I picked it up too. read more

(This is an update; unfortunately1 star lost) Ordering my pizza was easy and the young lady was very pleasant. I love their pizza (different owners?) but I had something I never experienced with them before. I ordered a small cheese, sausage and mushroom. When I arrived at mom's, I saw that the mushrooms were absent so I called. I told the young lady I had pics to show but I had to allow my mom to begin eating. Not a problem. I arrived there with the portion I had left (70%?) and provided the pics. Here's where it gets strange. The man there, who's probably the owner(?) walked towards me and said, "So you say there's no mushrooms? Let's take a look." This was said in a slightly irritated tone. While he spoke to me, he quickly opened my pizza box, reached in and began 2 grab a piece of pizza, pulled back the topping and said, "Well, I see one here." He reached for another piece and did the same thing. Yes, I was shocked and stunned. Why he didn't allow me to do that, I haven't the slightest idea. I told him I couldn't see them. The mushrooms were sporadically placed. A couple of larger pieces but most were very small. So he then asked what I wanted him to do, "...since I touched those 2 pieces because obviously you don't want those. My hands are clean though." I asked him to make me 2 pieces to replace the ones he touched. He suggested pizza bread. I replied I wasn't out to scam him. Well after he offered other replacements i.e. pop, 20% off the next purchase, I just took the pizza bread. I'd rather have had my 2 pieces replaced though. Anyhoo, you look at the pictures and video and tell me what you think. I'm use to being able to see and taste the mushrooms whether they're inside the pie or not. I left feeling foolish and when I arrived home, that feeling last a while longer. I guess he's had problems in the past and that was for his reaction with me. Again, I've never seen him or the others before. Plus it looked like some remodeling had been done so again I ask, new owners? The young lady made the pizza breads and it was pretty good. Will I return there? Yes but I shall not ask for mushrooms again. Sorry this was so long. Thank you for reading this. As a pizza fanatic, Gourmet is my top 3 favorite pizza joints. Their pizza is soooooo good. I don't have one favorite combo, but we tend to get sausage, green olive, & onions about 50% of the time. The sausage is extremely dense (& tasty!). It is definitely not your Little C's pea sized sausage... no, these sausages are huge! The pizza is somewhat greasy, but too greasy (like when the pizza is drowned in grease at some places). I love supporting local businesses... this place definitely has my support! read more

This was my favorite pizza, then the biz was sold. They said they would not change anything but It is not the same. Ive ordered now 4 times since the new owners took over. the first time. They messed up my order, I called and they said they would send out a new one and they charged me!!! I paid $60 that night. The next couple times I thought , ok , maybe need to work out a few kinks and gave them some time . So I ordered tonight after about a year hiatus and this pie is like a frozen pizza. The crust is hard and very dry. Its like a frozen crust. NOT good at all. It's so salty. Honestly, I cant even eat it. I'm sooo disappointed. They do have good sausage on their pizzas though. Definitely lives up to their name. Lots of love goes into every pizza. The owmer proudly opens the box for the presentation of hos master piece before you go out the door. Hard to pass on their Wednesday night special. 18" one topping pizza for $15.99. I'm about 15 minutes away and find having them not cut their creation, as it stays warmer. I'm always down to support small businesses and local pizza places but this place was pushing me past the breaking point, I'll start with what they the crust subpar, the amount of cheese to ratio was of decent proportions and the prices were very reliable. Tonight we ordered delivery again - and our very rude driver yelled at my husband when delivering our order, saying that we are out of their delivery area and this is the "last time we deliver to you." The name "Gourmet" is deceptive. The 5 star reviews have me dumbfounded. The building is grungy looking, both inside and out. But the taco joint next door is amazing, so you can't judge a book by its cover. However, when I walked inside, it was just as grungy and looked like what I'd imagine the inside of a prison kitchen to look like. The service was friendly though. Their friendliness was the best thing about this place. It's take-out and delivery only. If you drop in, it's a 25-30 minute wait for your pizza, so don't expect a "hot and ready" service like Little Cesar's. I paid $16 for a 14" pizza with sausage. The cheese was a little bit burnt, the sauce was bland, and overall it was a disappointing purchase. I'm not being a smart-ass, but Little Cesar's and Domino's are honestly a better product and cheaper. For $16 I expected better, which is what their deceiving name implies you will get. Update: owners put stickers on your car if you dare park in the SHARED lot and get tacos next door. Don't know how anyone takes this place seriously. read more
