Nice family owned restaurant with many options from greasy "street food" to family style meals.

For the cost of, the pizza seems under done for a thin crust. Not cut very well, had to cut ourselves. The sauce was very bland. Windy City Pizza is easily my favorite place to get pizza. We've been frequent patrons for at least 6 years now and it's just as great as when we first started going. The price is also pretty cheap for what you get. I've compared to some chain places and a small cheese pizza at a chain is usually more expensive than a medium cheese from Windy City - and the Windy City tastes better! There's also a bunch of coupons and specials that they will add on even if you don't have your own coupon with you. They even have the codes listed on their website, so if you order online it's very easy to add a discount. The ordering portion of the website is easy to navigate and well organized. I wish there was an option to buy single slices online though, but you can call in orders just as easily too. The menu is also pretty diverse. There's obviously pizza, but then there's salads, sandwiches, pasta, desserts, and a TON of appetizers. The delivery is usually 45min to 1 hour which I think is very reasonable for how busy they are and how good the food is. The drivers are always so kind and personable. The staff inside are also really kind, funny, and super quick to help. If people ever ask where to buy a good pizza then I immediately recommend Windy City Pizza. read more

Legit Chicago style food. Stopped in recently to pick up a few cheesy beefs, ended up sampling a few other items. First time here, everything was very good! Top picks: Cheesy beef- huge sandwich!! Much bigger than I expected; couldn't finish eating it in one sitting. Two adults could easily split a sandwich and both would be full. Lots of beef, cheese, giardiniera peppers- everything was just right. Personally, I liked it with a side of beef juice/au jus (it was 20 cents more). The extra au jus made it perfect. Fries- I am a bit of a fry snob. These fries exceeded my expectations. Reminded me of the fries from Maxwell Street (in Chicago). Texture, taste, size- everything was excellent. Pizza- while I was there, I ordered a slice of pizza; they nailed it! The taste, sauce, the hefty dough and crust- I can't say enough good things about their pizza. Plus, for a single slice, it was pretty big. My wife, daughter, and I shared a single slice while we waited for our take out order. It was big enough to share as a starter. Jalapeno Poppers- here they serve poppers with either cheddar cheese or cream cheese. The staff suggested getting half/half, which we did. Both were great, but the cream cheese was my favorite. I think they make the poppers on site versus getting them frozen. It seemed like the poppers were really fresh and flavorful; a noticeable difference from other places. Lastly, their service was head and shoulders above other take out places. The staff was friendly, recommended coupons to use while I was there, and brought the order out to my car. The service here was an A+ A lot of places advertise "Chicago Style," but this place gets it right, hands down. Windy City Pizza is a great representation of Chicago style food. Had the cheesy beef special with fries and drink. Over 15$, some special huh. The sandwich was stuck to the bottom of the to go container, completely destroyed the bin trying to pry it off. So this is what I did; I went to four / five pizza restaurants and placed an online order for the same items I ordered at Windy City none were priced higher most were the same price if there was a difference it was about $1 - $2 but it wasn't a place I'd like to order my pizza. I love Windy City and they're my favorite place in the area, but putting pepperoni under the cheese is a sin and I hate myself every time I forget to ask for it on top . Other than that, the place is amazing (just remember to get pep on top). Got the gyro plate today and tasted ok, but the amount of meat was kinda lacking and fries were soggy. I have to see I was horribly disappointed, we ordered the gyros plate, an xL sausage and pepper, small cheese. The gyros plate was decent nothing special, portion was okay. The pizza was disgusting, six paper towels to remove the grease from the top of the xl pizza, flavor was horrible. $40 worth of food and we ate barely any of it. I will say though the driver was very nice and the food came quickly considering how bad it was snowing!!! I am SO glad my sister recommended this place. I recently had too many poor experiences at a different pizza place, and didn't like some of the alternatives in the area... that is until I tried Windy City. I looked online at the menu, and saw they had Chicken Alfredo pizza. I was excited to see this, not many places have this, or make it well. We also ordered a small cheese and sausage, wanted to see how the regular pizza compared. I have to say, I was very pleased with the quality of the ingredients, and the taste was outstanding. The alfredo is great, chicken was flavored nicely, and the garlic... oh that lovely, savory garlic. The last place I went to barely put garlic on the pizza... Windy City does it RIGHT! The cheese and sausage was great too! The pizza sauce is decent, and the quality of the sausage was excellent. Recently, we decided to order pasta. I had the lasagna, and it was pretty good! Lots of cheese on it (easy way to make me smile) The only thing about the pasta dishes that had me raise an eyebrow, was one of the included sides is cole slaw. I'm more accustomed to a small side salad with pasta dishes as opposed to cole slaw. Overall, I'm pleased with Windy City, and will definitely be coming back for more! read more

Windy City is probably the best Oswego has to offer in my quest thus far. Their menu is extensive and the staff is always friendly over the phone and upon delivery. Their prices are about average and the food is good. It's not great but they're always correct and I've never had them take longer with delivery than they've indicated on the phone. It's a far cry from the best pizza I've had (V&V Paesano Bartlett what, what!) but it's better than chains like PH, Dominos etc. The only downside is that their wings gave me and my bf one HELLUVA stomach ache a piece. So be wary of those hot wings, they'll tear up your stomach. The Mexican and veggie pizzas are my fave. read more

My initial thoughts were the prices on the pizza are too high. The wings were reasonably priced and it made up the difference. At first the pizza tasted great, the cheese and topping were really good. The crust was terrible, the sauce below average and the wings soggy and messy (out of 24 I only ate 1). I was super disappointed in the overall meal. I'm sure there are better items in the menu. However, being new to the neighborhood and having tried this place I'm not in a hurry to eat there again. I LOVE Windy City Pizza. This pizza is a must-have when I go back home to the Chicagoland area. It's a thin-crust style pizza with massive amounts of toppings. The homemade crust and perfect sauce make this pizza top notch. This place is in a cramp, strip mall setting and is carry out only. But it's WELL worth the drive and inconvenience. My favorite is the works that has bacon, olives and tomatoes plus all the normal "supreme-style" toppings. It's a heart-attack on a pizza crust. So good.... read more

This place is fantastic! The food here is exceptional! Their pizza is so great and the whole menu is so much interesting. They have so many options to choose from. You will definitely love their deals and enjoy all of it. Their prices here are amazing. They are way cheaper than other food stores around the area. The Pizza is OK. The service well let say if there was service it would be a plus. I stood at the counter for 10 minutes while the woman took a order for the holidays. She finished with the guy as was soooo excited that she forgot to wait on me. After 15 minutes I left and went somewhere else. Rating is actually 3.5...service was extremely courteous when I called in my order for delivery. They even offered a coupon. The pizzas arrived piping hot and fresh. My only complaint was that the crust was tough, making it almost impossible to bite through a slice of pizza. The sausage was flavorful and just the right amount. Overall I was pleased. I called and the lady stated that they were given the wrong size rolls (to large) and the same amount of meatballs were put in the sandwich. She then said she would give me credit for half a sandwich.You admit that you have the wrong bread, say nothing to me about it when it was ordered and then offer me half a free sandwich. One of the top 2 pizza places out in the Oswego/Montgomery area. I ordered from here very frequently, the staff is very nice, delivery is usually fast. I usually order well done from here and it makes the pizza perfect. Their sauce is tangy and different but that is part of what makes it soo good. Nice hand tossed pizza. Also they have slices pretty much all day, you cant beat a huge slice for under $3 Definitely on my top list of comfort foods. Ordered the catering package for a birthday party! We have never eaten here before so hoped for the best. The food was delivered hot and it was all pretty good. LOTS of it too!! You don't realize how big a pan of pasta is going to be until you open it. This is what I heard about the food, the fried chicken was good, the Italian beef and trimmings good, the salad was fresh and the pasta was tasty! Just didn't know what to do with the tons of leftovers. But would rather have tasty leftovers than not enough food for my guests. One uneasy feeling was this. The gentlemen who delivered was very nice and brought the food right into my kitchen. There is a $10 delivery fee on catering. We live within 1-1.5 miles of the restaurant. When I gave him his tip he counted it in front of me and didn't seem overly thrilled as to the amount. I didn't expect him to deliver it to my kitchen AND I had already paid $10 delivery fee. I still feel bad that he seemed disappointed but in these situations you never know what to tip. Sorry if it wasn't the appropriate amount! I do appreciate your kindness.
