First time at Pizza Cucina with my wife! We have a friend who lives in Oswego so had stopped to get pizza from here. The lady who had taken my order was wonderful and very friendly and explained how the breadsticks are made fresh daily. The order was ready for pickup in less than 25 minutes! Amazing. The pizza shop has a welcoming ambiance and is very lit up. We ordered the thin crust Veggie Delight Pizza, The Double Dough Cheese Pizza, and Breadsticks. The food was absolutely delicious and tasted very fresh - I definitely recommend Pizza Cucina to all pizza lovers!! read more

Received a coupon voucher for 25% off so thought we would give it a try - great decision!! Pizza and antipasta salad were fantastic. The service and friendliness of all the staff was over and above - a place that showed they truly appreciates your business. Nothing fancy - just great food and people who care. read more

Pizza was requested for family celebration so I stopped here to check it out. The front counter help was so friendly & informed about their pizzas & what could meet our needs. They made suggestions to try. I placed an online order that was easy & efficient & matched what I'd been told. The order arrived promptly on time, delivery driver was friendly, the order was complete. Our family was really happy with all the pizzas & toppings. Some were new to us & we loved them all. Never again! We tried to order today my wife and I got confused on what we were going to order and we asked the lady to hold on for a minute. At the same time the lady on the phone asked what kind of dressing on the side salad. It took us 5 seconds to decide and then the lady started talking sarcastically because we didn't answer her side salad question. She had a tone like she was upset because we accidentally skipped her question So I said let's cancel the order and we'll call back another time. I was hung up on. So I called back and explained that she was very rude and any attitude comes across strong over the phone. I said I give them good reviews and we order from them all the time, this is not a good customer service. She said this is how she talks to people all the time and it's funny that I think that way. She was saying this with that sarcastic voice again. She also said that I hung up on her which I didn't and she just said goodbye and hung up on me. We really enjoyed their food but I don't like to be disrespected like that. I definitely don't want someone disrespecting my wife. So we will no longer be spending our money there anymore. Funny thing is I've heard about the "attitude" problem from others and didn't believe them until today. I guess it was just my turn. Nope, never again. read more

Pizza Cucina is a very amazing place for pizza. They offer plenty of flavors and styles. But their famous style is Italian pizza which is loved by lots of their customers. I also ordered it the time I visited this place and it was truly great. I really love the crust, toppings, and their awesome pizza sauce. Everything is great! They also have chicken wings, burgers, sandwiches, and other. Their menu is really huge. You can absolutely find anything you want here in Pizza Cucina, all the flavors you want for a pizza, affordable comfort foods, and even desserts. This place really deserves a 5-star rating. Pizza Cucina is also accessible, its location is easy to find, and the whole place is huge. Their parking lot is big and can easily park a car and go. Their exterior is interesting it is simple but the vibe is nice. Also the interior, relaxing and bright. Such a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy. One of the best restaurants in town! I also want to recommend trying their Chicken Sandwich. It is very affordable yet so delicious. Amazing place. Great customer service. Awesome waiters and waitresses. Fantastic pizza and food. Last night I decided to treat myself to Pizza Cucina for my birthday, I haven't had their chicken Alfredo pizza in quite sometime. After waiting an hour and a half and not receiving my food we called and they told us they delivered our food to a person on the sidewalk, then began to backpeddle and say it was a man at my door. My next door neighbor is an elderly women and I assure you they didn't come to my door. Call to check on proof of refund that they said they would text us and were told the person they gave the food too verified our order and they will not give me a refund.. I call again they answer the call unknowingly and in the background state they will be blocking my number. Completely unprofessional and they've stolen money from me. Do not order from this establishment! read more

I wanted to believe the reviews were true, I wanted this to be something more than your standard lowbrow stale ingredient pizzas you find around colleges and well, Oswego. Sadly, it was a disappointment. The pizza was just meh, Now I'm not saying it was awful, you could eat it, but there was no flavor, the sauce was too acidic and way too much making it overpower all the ingredients, the cheese tasted processed, and the toppings, first barely there, and secondly did not taste fresh. The dough, thin crust but wasn't cooked at a high enough temperature so it got chewy and bland. The wings on the other hand... pretty good actually. Very crispy and great spice. If they took more time with flavoring their pizza the way they do the wings, they might be able to salvage something. It just, doesn't seem that they care about the pizza craft and are just there to be there and the results mediocre at best. I really don't think I'll be back, at least if it is my decision. read more

I read a few reviews sayibg the service wasnt good but the food was. I cab only go by my owb experience where the service was top notch. They actually helped carry my togo order to the car. I asked alot of questions on how the food was made on the phone before i ordered and they were all answered. We got lasagna, manicotti, gnocci, breaded beef sandwich and pizza. Everything was excellent on flavor and portion size. Lots of cheese, wonderful marinara, perfectly cooked pasta and pizza. We have a new italian spot for the future. Pricing was just right. Overall an excellent experience, its cute inside so next time we will dine in. read more

We got dinner from here. Pizza. It was alright. Not as good as Danelli's but also not as expensive. It's about right for the price you pay. The wings tho were burnt. Neither of us ate them. Wasted our money there. Not knocking them more for that though. Id give them the benefit of the doubt that that doesn't happen all the time. read more

This is now, and has been, the only pizza place that we frequent anymore. Everyone is always friendly. They are one of very few places that understands the delicious threshold of what makes a well done pizza. While we typically just order pizza, they have a pretty diverse menu, and everything that we've tried has been great. In a world surrounded by crappy pizza, we highly recommend trying this place for something better! read more

I was very excited to try this restaurant based on all of the high ratings on yelp so I ordered a man extra large double dough cheese pizza. When I went to pick it up I noticed the decor displayed a Stanaslulaus #10 can in the lobby area and instantly thought that this pizza was going to rock. When I arrived home and the family tried the pizza we were not very impressed. It was average at best. The cheese was minimal, dark and had little to no stretch, which was quite surprising to me. Perhaps they will make the pizza rotation list next year. read more

I lived right by Pizza Cucina about 5 yrs ago and before that I lived in the area for about 11 yrs, I now live in the city and came to visit my daughter who lives i Oswego and I must say I ordered the Gluten Free Pizza not one but two $40 and needless to say I was unaware they had new owners, Well anyone who had a Celiac Disease I recommend not getting there GF pizza I Got Glutened so bad i was in the ER my point is Before I never had a problem with there Gluten Free Pizza and now there is no way I can have it sad because this was one of my favorite spots for Pizza.. read more

For the most part, pizza is pizza. You can get it anywhere and more often than not, it's pretty good. I love pizza, so I'm admittedly not too picky on where it comes from. However, pizza from Pizza Cucina is different and that makes it stand out from the others. There is something about the sauce that sets it apart. My personal favorite is their stuffed pizza (there's more wonderful sauce!), but you can't go wrong with their thin crust or double-dough. My wife and I don't agree a whole lot on food choices, but this is by far our favorite pizza in the area. I can't really speak to their other food as I've never had anything else (and never plan to), but if their pizza is any indication on how their other food is, it's probably pretty good. Honestly, why bother, though? Get the pizza! read more

place is unfair, rude, disrespectful. does not deserve any business! Was running a Sunday special for $11 large pizzas. Didn't give my cousin the same deal 20 minutes later. If I go to Jewel and buy milk for $1.99 and the person behind me gets charged full price, that's unfair, not right, and disrespectful. They will never get our business again.... good luck to this place. The place is also filthy, and probably need a visit from the health inspectors.... read more

Great Pizza....Not the best service. Ordered at 5:20 was told 40 minutes went in to pick up my pizza on the way home from work at 6:00 not done. Walked in and no one was at the counter the cook or owner saw me and didn't say a word. It would have been nice if he would have at least acknowledged I was standing there. Had to wait until 6:20 for my food. Overall service wasn't great but the pizza was so I'd go back! read more

Came here based on all the positive reviews I read on Yelp and overall I left very satisfied. They have a small "seat yourself" dining area with paper menus on each table. Our server was also the person running the counter, so she was very busy and not as accessible as you would expect, but still did a heck of a job. Ordered a large thin crust with sausage and black olives and an order of breadsticks. The pizza was full of flavor and the crust was very crisp. Their breadsticks were flat, but also full of flavor and there at least 8 with the order. The best part is that on Wednesdays they have a special where they take 40% off any pizza ordered. Even without the Wednesday discount, the prices are pretty generous and the portions are exceptional. I look forward to coming back. read more

The food here was really good! We got the stuffed pizza (which had TONS of cheese) and the gluten free pizza. The gluten free pizza only comes in medium and has about a $6 up charge but it is phenomenal! Definitely the best I've ever eaten! Ask for it to be cut in squares though if that's what you prefer because it came as regular slices. read more

Ok, so I was looking for a good pizza place and ran across this on yelp, saw only 8 reviews and 5 full stars. My first thought was that these were some nice employee reviews to build up the business (being the skeptic that I am) and decided to order to either bash the business on writing their own reviews for being marginal at best or praise them along with the others. As you can see I chose to praise. This is some of the best pizza I have eaten in Chicago and I grew up here. For a short period of time I even worked for a local pizza place that was voted #1 in its area by reviewers. So I can safely say I know what good pizza places do. I have to say this one hits on all cylinders. First time I ordered I got a BBQ trio, which is called an S.O.B. at the more chain pizza places. I ordered with the double crust (not quite pan, not quite thin) and me and my wife loved it. Even reheated well, which you won't find with pizza places that use cheap ingredients. The price was nothing unusual or noticeably high, and it was really an excellent pizza. Within a week I ordered again, this time a chicken alfredo pizza (having trouble with regular pizza sauce, must be getting old) and it was equally as good. Had the chance to speak with the owner, real nice guy and knows his stuff. I highly recommend eating here... repeatedly read more

It was a busy-ish Trivia Tuesday and they seemed to be well staffed but both people behind the bar that we tried to make contact with breezed past us a lot. Despite that, we did eventually try the $5 margaritas which packed a nice punch. We also went with a pepperoni wrapped and deep fried cheese stick. Clearly not a premade product from somewhere else...the sauce was great while the cheese stick lacked pepperoni flavor even though we clearly saw some in there. It was more boring flavor wise than expected but a really great concept! Our Foo pizza was ordered without the cilantro but also arrived without the jalapeños. Again, another great concept but this one lacked on the execution side of things. Not enough BBQ sauce at all (I'm not a huge sauce girl, but this was way too light), soooo many fried onion strings clumped together (and I love fried onions...soooo), missing the spicy component in error.... But the crust was great and cooked nicely, the pulled pork was delicious when you found a bite, the bacon cooked perfectly and the pineapple portion was good. Why four stars instead of three? Clearly they're using quality ingredients. This is huge to me! Restaurant felt, looked and smelled clean. Conceptually they've got some awesome menu items that make me want to come back and we already mentioned to friends of ours. And the drinks were solid. We will take a different approach next time and hopefully add this one to the rotation.

I think we've ordered this twice now, and I say "I think" because it could've been more - my husband is the one who usually requests pizza like it's daily bread and naturally would do the ordering :) If you order "the works" without any modifications, it contains sausage, pepperoni, ground beef, bacon, mushroom, onion, green olives, black olives, and green peppers. We've only tried the pizza made with traditional thin crust, but they have different types of dough you can choose from for a slight upcharge: double dough, pan, stuffed, etc. This pizza is perfect because it checks the box for meats (him) and checks the box for veggies (me). We also order a side of marinara which comes in a little tub like a "cup" of soup; it is worth the $5 to dunk your crust in. That's how I will always order pizza, with extra marinara on the side. We've had their wings and a few other apps too. if you're ever in the mood for really good thin crust that holds up against the toppings and is still tastes right out of the oven when if you order delivery, maciano's is the place. They are perfect for game days, or really any occasion when you're craving really good 'za.
