I got four quotes to paint the exterior of our two-unit condominium building. Those quotes varied by a factor of two in price, and every quote was different in terms of what they would cover: prime only "where necessary" vs. prime the whole building; one vs. two coats of elastomeric paint; etc. This made comparison difficult. I went with Govea's Painting, which was not the cheapest, but represented the best value for the money spent. Brynht and his team clearly know what they are doing. They finished a day ahead of schedule, were neat, courteous and professional at all times, and did a fantastic job that I think will last for many years. We have a beautiful building once again... I contacted Brynht because I was having some wood siding repairs done on our Corona Heights condo building, and the contractors I had hired for that job don't paint. Brynht showed up within an hour of my initial call to survey the job. Then within a day he got back to me with an estimate. When I mentioned we needed some quick caulking fixes in other places, we had a quick back-and-forth to settle on a fair amount for the other stuff, and then we scheduled the job. Brynht showed up right on time, took paint samples for color matching, came back a short while later with paint in the right colors, and got straight to work. He identified some unforeseen problems that he was able to work out without difficulty, and when I mentioned yet another thing we needed done (a paint touch up on our chimney), we quickly settled on a fair price for that work as well, and he got it done just as quickly. For the caulking fixes that I had previously asked him to do, his work exceeded my expectations, as I had thought that he was just going to apply caulk, but he actually repainted those areas too. He was super friendly and answered all my questions, and he also explained to me how to do some other fixes that I chose not to have him do for us since they would have been more time consuming and costly. The final price was very reasonable and I was happy to pay it. I am very pleased with the whole experience, and I will definitely hire Brynht again the next time we need painting done. Brynht is one of the top painters we have used in the past 50 years as a homeowner and landlord of multiple properties. He is highly skilled and very careful with his work. We had a particular problem with our wood ceiling that had water stains from a leak in the roof. We had a number of people look at it and they all thought it was going to be too difficult to do without repainting the entire ceiling which covers about 400 ft.² of space. Brynht took a day to fix the problem and match the existing finish perfectly. We also had him paint the outside of our house and the front deck. The deck turned out to be particularly troublesome but he stuck with the job and didn't try to raise his already fair price. The bottom line is he does great work at a great price and is totally reliable and we will certainly use him again the next time we have a job. We have recommended him to family and friends. All of that would be terrific but there is an added bonus. Brynht is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and he is totally pleasant to work with. He has my highest recommendation. read more

Brynht came highly recommended to me by my neighbor who had just worked with him. They (my neighbor and Brynht) noticed an area on my roof which had never been painted, just primed and the prime was flaking off I asked if Brynht would send me pictures of the area. He sent a video and I was horrified by what I saw. I am extremely happy with the job Govea Painting and his crew completed. First, I received numerous quotes; Brian's was competitive and his timeline was more precise and matched my needs. It was a complex project that another painter had failed (we were whitewashing a stained wood ceiling - about 2,000 square feet). Brynht was extremely professional and gave us a variety of color/whitewash options. He checked in with us regularly. He and his crew ended up hand painting the ceiling to give it the right texture and look. They also painted our baseboards, doors, and wood windows and did a excellent job.
