We chose Oxford 7 for my 9 year olds birthday party. Sonic 2 happened to be opening that weekend, so it was perfect timing. The communication leading up to the party was great. I am happy to report that on the day of the party, there were no crazy surprises or disappointments. Darrin, who helped plan and execute the party did a phenomenal job. The website says they have reclining chairs. They very much so do not. The back isn't even tall enough for your head to have a rest and they are probably older than I am. The movie is cheap however you get what you pay for I guess. read more

I hade a very bad service experience and the girl who was a big fan of Taylor swift. she was incredibly rude, and she took her sweet old time like an old lady. Also when I got concessions in my rewards card didn't work she didn't even try to look it up. She just said sorry it's not popping up right now. Unfortunately I can't help. Also, the other time I went, I was helped by girl who was high and drunk. I think her name was Bella I'm not sure, but you should guys should have her fired. it's not OK to be drunk in the workplace. Especially for someone who looks like a minor I'm not totally sure if she was but she looked like she was 16 or 17. read more

Go to Auburn Hills or Rochester!!! Theatre looks small but we liked it at first because it is very close. The chairs are very uncomfortable as your neck is not supported. My mother and I wanted to see a movie that started at 6:40. Before we bought tickets we asked the concession ticket lady if there was time to make it to the movie still because it was 6:45. She said there was plenty of time so we went in. The movie was already 15 minutes in and too confusing to keep wattching. We went to the counter and they explained that they messed up and didn't play the previews. We asked for a refund and they said no. The manager we spoke to looked like he was about 17. One of the worst places that I have ever had the opportunity to work at. They over work while simultaneously underpaying their minor workers. I was promised that after three months of working their I would get a pay raise. Half a year went by with no talk of a pay raise. There was also a homeless man living inside the theater (unknowingly). This put teenage girls who were cleaning the theater at 12:50 p.m. (the time we legally are supposed to stop working is 10:30 p.m.) almost every night in grave danger. The management has fallen apart. First we had an alcoholic manger who quit, then he finally quit and we had a great manager who was fired because she was in a car accident and was unconscious so she couldn't go to work. Then she woke up to a text massage saying she was fired. And this was the day after her accident. read more

Now, I'm writing this review based on how I myself feel about this theater. Not saying everyone will feel the same way. First off, the Oxford 7 is small. Depending on what you like or what you're used to, this could be a good or bad thing. Personally, I love it. The layout is simple. In big movie theaters, I notice that there's always multiple wings and sub-wings for the theaters and it can get confusing - not at the Oxford 7. With one long hallway and I think 7 screens, you're not going to get lost. Second, the concessions are WAYYYY cheaper than you'll get at AMC or MJR. I mean, I still smuggle in candy (don't tell the cops!) but buying popcorn and soda doesn't make me feel like I'm going to go broke. Third, clean bathrooms. 'Nuff said. Overall, the Oxford 7 offers a pleasant movie-going experience. You can buy tickets and concessions without maxing out your visa and you won't get lost. Sure, they don't offer much when it comes to movie selections, but they have the most popular movies so there's a good chance you'll enjoy something they're playing. It's also in a great area. The kind of area where you can leave the theater and walk around downtown and visit various small shops and restaurants. Love this place! read more

A great little theatre to go to that is less crowded. Easy in and out place to watch movies. It is my personal favorite theatre. Staff are nice to customers. Usually isn't packed. Only on Friday and a Saturday nights is it pretty crowded. But nothing like AMC Theatre. Try this place out and you probably will like it. read more

I really enjoy this little theatre. It is perfect for families or if you are just trying to see a show. It isn't fancy. It isn't elite. It is just a place to see a movie. It is far less expensive than other theatres and the snacks are better priced as well. The snacks are always fresh and I like the sizes. The staff is very friendly. Nice, home town folks. Now, if you are looking for a cinematic ultra surround blow your mind like you are sitting in a cloud engulfed within the movie itself....this isn't he place. But if you want to go see a low rated kids movie because you love your family and want to have a fun weekend family time...great place! read more

I like the Oxford 7. It is small, but that means that you don't have to fight any crowds. The theater is fully digital now so the quality is the same as it would be at any other theaters. It only has 7 screens, so the movies are always the most popular out at the time. The only real complaint I have is that they don't discount afternoon movies like a lot of other theaters. The only time they have discounted movies is between 4 and 6. read more

It is not as fancy as some of the more modern theaters, but it is my favorite place to catch a flick. I love helping the community and being able to walk to catch a show and that they have late not showings. Unlike a certain mall, their popcorn does not taste like it was popped the prior weekend. My family has been going to this theater since we moved to Oxford over 20 years ago. We are SO glad to have a local theater to see a movie! Great hometown feel! I go here all time well whenever I want to watch a movie. I wanted to see a movie when it came out on midnight but instead of midnight it came out at 8:00pm! I think that was amazing. Good service. Lots of bathrooms and clean bathrooms too. Popcorn is a little to salty but that is the only bad thing about this place. By the way watch Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials. read more

Oxford is a very small town but it's been getting a little more sophisticated in recent years. One of the local fixtures that's evolving right along with us is the Oxford 7 movie theaters. We love this place! As the name implies, there are 7 theaters in the building-- but they're all much smaller than the ones in the big multiplex theaters. This is okay because our population is also comparatively less. It's also okay because each of the little theaters is built stadium-style-- the rows of seats are along an incline so that each row looks over the heads of the row in front of it. Also, the theaters all have digital, stereo sound systems, so you get all the quality and effects from the soundtrack. They show all the latest movies, and there's a nice little concession where you can get great popcorn, and all the other normal stuff. It's like the old-time neighborhood theaters, but with modern upgrades! If you're in the area, check it out! read more
