If you want the full theater experience, I would skip this place. The day we went they were out of nearly everything, from limited choices in snacks at the snack bar, to the drink machine being out of most of the drinks, to the butter machine being empty. The place just seems dated & barely hanging on. Disappointing especially for the price. read more

I have always liked this theatre, been going here for years. Was finally back in there on Tues June 22 2021. Hooray! Tuesday's have always been and still are-$5.00 Tuesday's all day movies(note-there may be an exception for a certain movie, so call ahead if not sure). Seeing them able to keep that special means a lot. I also have an NCG card that gives you a free movie every 10(?) I think it is....which I was able to use that day. Also glad they've kept that bonus for sure! The staff were all friendly and helpful. Only thing I noticed that day different was there wasn't the variety of toppings out for the popcorn on the back counter. There was extra butter machine to add more, but I did miss those toppings! Hope they can come back soon. Bought the deal of a large popcorn with 2 large drinks-both refillable-again.....this theatre has done well to maintain a good visit and keep/add nice employees. You can even now go in and get popcorn to carry out!! What a concept!!! Yum!!! Im planning on doing that at some point when we have movie night at home. So the movie we went to see was The Quiet Place 2. It was somewhere around 7pm, and actually was a good size crowd. We were able to space out though a few seats away from others, so that was great(always good to have a spot for purses!) Theatre was clean. Bathroom clean. Everything went well for our first time back. It was really fun to be out for a night at the movie's again! read more

Honestly from the outside it looks like your typical small town theatre. I wouldn't have gone here but I was eager to see Fifty Shades of Grey and have in. I was surprised that you had to purchase your movie tickets from the concession line which I see as a inconvenience because you have people in front of you getting there candy and popcorn which can take some time so get here early to adjust for that extra wait time. The pop machine are the best, self serve and each of the 3 machines is automated and has 100's of choices. The theatre's are very clean and the seats are top of the line comfy and reclining. The staff is friendly and always helpful. I would recommend giving this theatre at try. read more

Parents beware! Encourage your teens to go to another theatre. Even if you buy their ticket for a show, workers are stopping teens and requiring you go with them. Pretty crazy a couple of 16/17 year olds can't see a R movie even IF their guardian purchases their ticket giving them permission. Wish the theatre encouraged teens to attend since the movies is a safe activity. This is the parents decision not yours NCG. read more

It is my honor to review my favorite first-run movie theater in Michigan! They have the best, freshest popcorn on planet earth - it is always hot and crispy and they are generous with the butter if you ask for it. They have extra shake-on flavors if "exotic" is how you roll. They have a decent variety of pop to choose from too; personally I like to get as much caffiene as possible but my fellow moviegoers are delighted that caffiene-free Diet Coke is an option. And, dig this: FREE REFILLS on any size pop or popcorn. This is also the CLEANEST theater I've ever been to. Floors are never sticky, seats are in perfect shape, and the bathrooms are nicer than the Ritz-Carlton. The Pix (a small, independent theater in Lapeer) used to show 1st or 2nd run movies and it was such a mess, you had to plan on leaving your shoes there because the floor was so sticky. The bathroom was a haz-mat situation. Not so at Lapeer Cinemas! I'd eat off the bathroom floor in there, particularly if I had spilled any of that mouth-watering popcorn. The only complaint, which is minor, is that they tend to skew toward family films and because they don't have a lot of screens, they never show the gruesome horror films that I prefer. Apparently I'm in the minority in this town because they gotta show what sells tickets. I get it. The cinema's not the problem, Lapeer is. read more

This was my first time to this movie theater. I used to go to the NCG in Lansing back in the day so I thought it was going to be this pretty, grand theater. It's a lot smaller and older but nice. Two tickets and a large drink were $16 for a matinee. I like that they have fountain pop machines so you can get your own. Since you purchase your tickets and concessions at the same desk, it makes the line go a lot slower. The theater was nice and big. The seats were super comfy. People aren't loud and annoying during the movie like they are at the movie theaters where I used to live. read more

This is our local theater. They are making advances in technology. They now have new coke machines, and TV's that tell you the times. Which, was a lot better then before. And now they have it where you can get your own pop, unlike before, where you had to wait in line. Being a bigger girl myself, the seats are a little small. If you are a bigger person, I'm sorry, you shall get squished. But, it beats having to go somewhere else. I love our little theater. :). It's a clean and friendly place that has served Lapeer for some great time! read more

It is a nice place just small. And they never have ebiugh workers, so I am always late to movies... they always have like six people together, and only one is working when there is a long line. The prices of popcorn and snacks are outrageous. $5 tickets on Tuesdays are nice. read more

Fabulous NCG cinema group. nice seats. first run showings. this is a small location, only about six or eight screens. reasonably priced at $6 with cheaper tickets available for student/senior/child/etc. the only thing this place has going AGAINST it is its retarded no refund/no exchange policy. We have been here to see several movies and on a couple of occasions they were adamant about drilling into our heads pre-purchase that there was no refund and no exchange on tickets. The sheer amount of disrespectfully LOUD kids/teenagers is unbelieveable here. WOW. If they remind you of the policy at the front before you even purchase, skip the movie for that night because you'll never be able to hear it over the damn kids anyways - even if it is a PG13 (hell, we even had an R rated movie that was intolerable from all the talking/giggling/stupid teenagers). so I docked them a star for that. Overall, 4 stars. read more

Went to see Baby Driver there last night. While I would like to see NCG upgrade to more comfortable seating like others are, you can always count on friendly staff here. Example:. I bought a large popcorn and the server instinctively asked if I wanted butter in middle. I said yes please and he did it quickly and efficiently. This is perhaps the biggest difference between NCG and someone like AMC or even Emagine for that matter. read more

This cinema may be in Lapeer, but it has accomadations fitting of a theatre in a much larger, metropolis area. The seats are some of the most comforrtable theatre seats I have ever viewed a movie in and I ha i been a slight bt more tired I could have fell asleep in them and been just fine. The whole place was clean and set up pretty efficiently and it wasn't packed with people talking non-stop through the movie either (I've noticed that seems to happen at some locations more than others). If you are stuck in the middle of nowhere town Lapeer I would highly reccomend seeing a movie here. After all, what else are you going to do ? read more

It is a huge pet peeve of mine to enter a sticky floored movie theater- this is never an issue at the Lapeer ncg cinema. Always very clean. They recently updated some of the theaters to chairs that somewhat recline or lean back- they are a great addition. Also have updated to a more self serve pop and butter for popcorn station- this is very helpful and makes it easier on patrons. read more

There's a ticket sales counter specifically for purchasing tickets in the foyer but go figure, its never open and you gotta buy tickets at the concessions counter. Its fucking retarded and takes FOREVER. NCG is the only theater I've seen this at and it's just idiotic. If I just want tickets and no concessions I have to wait in line behind some ass clown to buy tickets and $50 worth of popcorn, candy and soda. I fucking hate this place. read more
