As you should know most dentist if not all in Oklahoma City, will not be open on weekends or they just don't do major work, might pull x-rays or cleanings but light work only. My job is very demanding and I'm with the union so we don't get paid days off or holidays. So here at "North May Family Dental" if you don't "confirm" your appointment they give it away. I called them MULTIPLE TIMES, no answer, my son and I come in and we both need some cavity work or whatever, they tell me someone is already in the chair, mind you I'm early. Our appointment was at 9 am so how is it 8:50 and someone already taken the appointment. I will never use this place of business or recommend it to anyone. What kind of business gives your scheduled appointment away because you can't answer the phone at work to "confirm" and you call them back but they don't answer. That's ridiculous. I'm a full time father, no one is helping me take care of my bills but do they care no, just try to reschedule you a month out NO I don't think so, I'll take my hard earned money somewhere else.

They popped an X-ray on me without notice of pricing as if they had already taken one in the past year. You can at least warn a person. The hygienist was poorly skilled; they should have discovered the cavity I had from a previous X-ray, but they didn't. From what I understand, Grand Dental has had many troublesome reviews in the past, and I would not recommend them to anyone. Furthermore, it is worth investigating any potential settlements.

The dentist was friendly and also provided good insight into the health of my teeth (he is a man of few words though). AND my teeth stayed clean and felt clean/plaque free for ONE MONTH after my cleaning! I always have crazy plaque buildup, and usually it comes back in a few days. But with the new brushing technique they taught me, and with their thorough cleaning, my teeth felt amazing for one full month after the cleaning. Highly recommend.

I love Dr. Hancock. I transferred to him after my previous dentist severely butchered a crown…read morereplacement. I went to him for a second option after meeting him when he was teaching dental assistants at Rose State College. After he evaluated me he informed me the crown they had made me was not the right fit and decided to start from scratch. It wasn't an easy first case but he happily helped and was so accommodating. After we finished the crown we had a couple other big dental jobs he did, like a root canal and tooth infection. He is always so confident and knowledgeable. He is accessible anytime I had problems, even over the weekend. My annual cleanings have been quick and easy too. The Hygenists are personable and efficient. I'm always out of there within an hour, which includes a check up from Dr. Hancock. The staff is so helpful. His wife, Karen, is usually running the front desk. No matter what I'm calling about she is always friendly and sincere. They truly make you feel like family. I couldn't be happier and am so glad I found them! I could recommend them more highly.

Went to Dr. Guthrie's office for my daughters first checkup (she's just under 2) and was impressed…read moreright when we walked in the door. The lobby was a child's playroom, equipped with toys, Legos, video games and an indoor treehouse type play structure. When Theresa took us back, she explained all the paperwork that I would have to look through and gave us a thorough tour of the facility. It is a very child friendly environment and my toddler loved it, she especially liked the fact that she got to choose her own toothbrush, toothpaste, and sand timer. She was sat down in an open area where all the children get checked up, had her own tv in the ceiling to keep her distracted while getting examined, and she got to wear cool pink shades for protection. Theresa explained all the instruments to my daughter and also let her touch them before they were used on her, which made her more comfortable. Amazingly, she did really well throughout her exam and then Dr. Guthrie came in to make sure there were no X-rays needed or any other dental problems. He also explained that he would be counting my daughters teeth to make her comfortable and was very quick and thorough so that my daughter didn't get scared or antsy. After her exam, she got to choose a toy to take home from their toy chest, stickers while I was signing paperwork, she received a dollar for not having any cavities and a balloon on our way out. She definitely did well on her first visit and am so glad that she didn't get traumatized by the dentist, which I'm sure a lot of toddlers do. I am glad I found this pediatric dentistry and thrilled that my daughter is going to be a happy patient here!
